    A million THANK YOUs for posting this video! (And for leaving it up forever so people like me can find it years later and their clothes will be saved!) I actually used my $2 Aldi brand of bathroom cleaner w/ bleach spray (Cloralen) but it worked! It took a few treatments, but I thought it was impossible to remove the mold stains, and thanks to you, it wasn't! You're right! It REALLY WORKS! (FYI, prior to this I had tried: vinegar, laundry stain sprays, borax, tea tree oil, fels naptha, oxi clean, and a clorox bleach pen. Nothing else worked.)

    This video saved my wedding dress. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I opened up my wedding dress storage bag (5 years post wedding) and found that it was filled with black mold. The mold was concentrated on the bodice of the dress - big clusters of mold right over the bust. Tragedy! I tried Shout stain remover. I tried Oxiclean + borax + detergent + laundry booster. I tried vinegar. I tried sunshine. The stains faded a little, but they were still extremely visible. I never would have dared to try bathroom cleaner without your video. Target didn't have the Fantastik brand, so I bought Lysol Mold and Mildew cleaner with bleach. I tested it on a small area - no damage to the fabric, no bleaching effect. Then I went for it and sprayed down all the moldy spots. They literally disappeared before my eyes. The dress is drying now and looks as good as new. I could weep tears of joy. THANK YOU.

    My patio cushions were covered in black mold from this crazy, rainy humid weather we’re having. I tried the spray brand of cleaner I had with bleach, let it stand for 5 minutes and washed with my regular detergent in hot water. The stains are gone and it did not ruin or fade the fabric. Since the fabric was ruined any way I felt I had nothing to lose and everything to gain! Thank you for the suggestion!

    Fantastic all purpose cleaner with bleach is the closest I could I’d find to hers (just doesn’t say 5in1) and it worked perfect!
    Gave our cloth wagon a good spray and left it in the sun for about two hours. Came back and it was gone!

    Thank you for leaving this video up! I had tried everything to remove black spots from my outdoor pillows. Oxyclean spray, soaking in oxyclean powder, soaking in Clorox 2 . . . and scrubbing like crazy. Nothing worked. But with your recommendation, using Clorox bleach spray . . . ALL GONE! Amazing! This worked for me. I had to go to five stores to find the product, but it was worth it. It's called Fantastik All-Purpose Cleaner with Bleach. It doesn't say "Scrubbing Bubbles" or 5-in-1. Could be a different product but I can tell you it works. I have a lot of inexpensive pink polyester tablecloths used for a function that I didn't get around to washing for a month. They got all this black mold on them, it was horrifying. I sprayed this on and left for half hour. Some of the black stuff seemed to be gone just by doing this, which seems unbelievable. I then put the tablecloths in the washer with Tide and Clorox 2. They came out clean!

    I just used Clorox bleach spray on the bed sheet. I let it sit for 20 min, seen it’s still there, scrubbed it with a scrubby brush, let it sit for 5min more-and it disappeared. This was a 10 day old mold stain on white cotton sheets. Gone!

      Thanks Eternal. Similar experience. I tried all the recommended vinegar, salt, lemon juice, and everything in my big cache of stain removers from the stores, including one especially for mold. Nothing! I read the Clorox web site, 1 part bleach to 15 parts water. I sprayed this on once, it faded in 10 minutes, and then a second spray, it was gone in another 10 minutes. Thorough wash, worried, this is someone's prized (white) quilt, and all of the mold stains looks to be gone without wrecking the fabric. I've no idea how many months it sat like this before my niece gave it to me to work on.

    You are such a champion! Like you, for a long time I tried a lot of methods such as oxygen bleach, etc to no avail. Following your video, I used a mould surface spray from Aldi called Aldi Mould Away (sold in Australia) which is a bleach product, sprayed on the fabric - and those stains vanished within minutes. I tried Oxiclean. It will work, but it has to be mixed 50% with water in a bucket. I used a sink plunger, and it seemed to take forever. It had to sit overnight. I put the T shirts in the washing machine. It took like 4 washings to get it all out. The lime green shirts turned yellow. It did not bother the orange ones.

    Thanks for sharing this! I'm scared to use it on the moldy item I have because it's black. My family always used 409 as an all purpose cleaner and one time we got juice stains on our old white laminate kitchen counters. Since Fantastik was on sale, I got that and tried it on those juice stains and it worked great! I had used 409 on those stains for like 3 years and tried all kinds of things so Fantastik is good stuff for that too. I might try this on a small spot on the black bag we have but I'm worried! hahaha

    • @SouthernYankeeLife
      @SouthernYankeeLife  4 года назад

      Kaya Gomez it didn’t effect the color on mine. I would start with a test spot in a Hidden section or somewhere not noticeable. Also it might take more tries to get it all but don’t leave the product on for long or it probably will bleach it.

      Evan Hale I have used it on multiple fabrics and colors and have never had an issue. I also don't leave it on for long. If it doesn't all come out the first time I do it a second time. If there is a small spot that is hidden (maybe an inseam) you could try it on first so you don't ruin the dress.
