fun fact; what you've identified as what (I presume) is the monster motif, also appears earlier in the musical- during the end of survive when odysseus goes "im the reigning king of ithaca" etc, the men in the background are singing this motif!!
Don’t know if you know this but the prophet (no idea how to spell his name) says “that’s not a world I know” because in the original odyssey he does help Odysseus
Oh my god I just realised the monster motiv you're talking about at the end is also being sung by the soldiers when Odysseus is doxing himself in Remember them. Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Maybe I could recommend checking out Krieo's No Longer You animatic as an alternative, cuz for the first chorus, it uses Act I events, while for the second, it uses Act II Would also highly recommend Ximena's version
@officialmortius Some people have limited cognitive abilities, but then again I was also having a dumb brain moment myself yesterday when I asked if y'all would be avoiding the snippets for Act Two, so I'm just as guilty lol.
There is a game called Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical (on steam) Its a choose your adventure styled musical where you pick the mood/style for the ongoing song and essentially its a musical with alteast 3 main variations. Ofcourse the goal is for the musical to evolve how you want it.
fun fact Tiresias' lyrics referenced a few songs these being the cut songs Olive Tree, Survive, Keep Your Friends Close, Mutiny, maybe Get In The Water, and the song called Odysseus.
Felt it in my soul, knew they were gonna do that animatic. 😭 Excited to watch this video, but also manifesting that you check out Ximena's version as well. 💕
I've always liked to view the prophet's "I see a song of past romance. I see the sacrifice of man." etc lines as mentions to both the past AND future. Tiresias sees both, so I like to think that he uses the same words to describe different events; some that have already happened and some that are still yet to come.
Funny how the person you’re referring to that’s in the TikTok and guessed some of the choir lyrics right is also gwendy, the same person who’s animatic you’re reacting to😂
SPOILERS FOR ACT 2 Speaking of Oddyseus returning home, there's the song not released yet called "King" that takes the line of "i see your palace, covered in red, faces of men, who have long believed you're dead"
@@aadityayanamandra8846 I guess I just think that for someone new to it that hasn't been spoiled on the demos it's kind of a dead giveaway that he's the threat in the song before the song actually says his name.
That monster motif you mentioned. It was in Remember Them, when Odysseus is doxxing himself. The background vocals follow those notes exactly. Remember me (Ooooooooh)
The motif you guys are discussing at the end, that comes from Remember Them! It's first sung in the background at the end while Odysseus doxxes himself lol
So basically the the chorus at the end is foreshadowing what happens in the next Saga they are saying; Siren Song, sylla throat, lightning bolt, Poseidon and kill all your suitors for love
Comingo from the future to say the background choir are separated lines: "Siren's song" "Scylla's throat" "Mutiny" "Lightining bolt" "Hurt Poseidon" "Kill all the suitors for love"
The background chorus says Siren Song, Scylla Throat, Mutiny, Lightning Bolt, and I'm unsure of the last two, but I believe they say Run from Poseidon and Kill The Suites For Love *spoilers* I do know that ody ends up facing against Poseidon again and has an entire boss battle song with the suiters so I am confident that they're correct
I love how it is the same every song: "You ready?" "Yeah." (NO), total emotional breakdown after some time and Mortius just going "YEAH.", it's just wonderful
i love how the animator portrayed the prophet with white glowing eyes instead of a blind fold it kinda makes me feel like like his eyes arent in this present, theyre traveling through the possible futures
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ACT TWO DO NOT READ (I’m leaving this since epic is now finished) Since it’s been posted, the choral’s lyrics are “Siren’s song, Scylla’s throat, Mutiny, Thunder Bolt, Hurt Poseidon, Kill all the Suitors for love!”
I've been binge watching all this for Hours and I've always wanted to say how cool Mason, the editor, is. Thanks for your editing, Mason. I love your comedic timing.
I wonder if the first chorus is referring to the past - the iliad - and then the second chorus is referring to the future (the second act, to avoid spoilers). Jorge mentioned in one vid that the prophet is overwhelmed by past and future all at once...
Idk if anyone else has said this but I think the “man who is haunting” is still Odysseus after his voyage. If you know the source material he certainly has a trail of bodies. Therefore, “a man who gets to make it home alive, but it’s no longer you” is Odysseus after he becomes “the monster” and is unrecognisable from the man who set off from Ithica
9:30 Something I noticed when I was watching this animatic, when Odysseus and Polites fade back, Odysseus kind of looks like Polyphemus. Still not sure if I am reading too far into it or if that is intentional.
Jorge did share almost the full song title/saga list at one point, except for two mystery song, that is not part of the original Odyssey story, but will be part of Epic only. (We will hear them on july 4th in Thunder Saga) There are also so many amazing snippets of future songs, including both of those scenarios that Mortius and Casper talked about in their future speculations.
I like to think that the first time the "Prophet song" is said it's referring to the past, while the Second time when He's answering Ody's question He's talking about events to come It fits well with the "I see past and future running free" Lyric
This song had no business being so heartbreaking, but I love it and the credit goes fully to Jorge, because in The Odyssey the prophet is just like "Yeah, you're good as longs as you don't do [this very specific thing that could be a spoiler even though I'm like 4 months late]"
I think that the animations have it of past events makes it better as it shows what is going through his mind trying to make sense of that the prophet is saying without context Behind what he is saying which leads into his rage of WHO.
Also something I learned, the ghosts behind the prophet in the last verse are saying “Siren Song” “Scylla Throat” “Mutany” and “Lightning Bolt” foreshadowing the entirety of the next Saga
Btw, incase you haven't seen it, the first 4 of lines of the background vocals have been comfirmed, and don't worry, they are not spoilers(Unless you have not seen thunder saga), the first 4 are refering to thunder saga SPOILERS FOR THUNDER SAGA ONLY, DON'T LOOK IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THUNDER SAGA YET!!!! 1. Siren Song(Suffering) 2. Scylla Throat(Scylla) 3. Mutiny(Mutiny) 4. Lightning Bolt(Thunder Bringer) Jorge comfirmed these, the first 4, but he said the other ones after are spoilers for sagas after Thunder Saga and didn't share them
The thing i love of this song, is that every event except of the ones of the Palace can be both past and future, making the line of i see past and future running free even greater.
I think this is what the back vocals are singing. " Siren Song, Scylla Throat, Mutiny, Lighting Bolt, whirlpool, Poseidon, kill all the suitors for love'" and after Tiresias sings the long you, they sing. " Ody......sseus " they basically singing what is going to happen after he leaves the underworld aka the next saga. it's all the next songs, Siren song is Suffering, Scylla Throat is Scylla because you eat the men in that song, Muting is the next song after Scylla, Lighting Bolt is Thunder Bringer, whirlpool is Charybdis, Poseidon is get in the water and kill all the suitors for love is him getting revenge on the suitors for how they treated his wife and son .

I might not know all the haunted chorus line, but I'm willing to bet that the very last line is just a single word: "Ody-sse-us" as the futrue version flies at the present version. answering Ody's "Who", and also following the style of when people get all their titles listed before their names get mentioned (like "king of blood")
I'm cackling sitting here Jorge has since confirmed that the first bits of the backing chorus are 'Siren song, Scylla throat, Mutiny, lightning bolt, [??? (personal guess is Whirlpool, I think the captions on Gwendy's animatic also say that?)], [word that sounds an awful lot like Poseidon], kill all the Suitors for love'
Oh man I didn't realize until you guys mentioned that this is in 6/8 time - well, it's because Tiresias isn't exactly experiencing common time, is he? :D
Ok now Jay has confirmed the choir lyrics(kind of). “Siren song, scylla’s throat, mutiny, lightning bolt” are the first 4. Don’t know what the 5th is and the 6th is a spoiler for an even later saga
i love the line "i see you draw your final breath" because most people would think it is talking about odysseus dying, but its not its talking about the fact that after thunder bringer he has gone past the point of no return his whole crew is dead and technically he is the reason the last of them died so its the point where he fully accepts he has become a monster and at that point there is no going back for him he will make it home at all costs even if as the Prophet says it will no longer be him that makes it home.

@@sophiegreenfield-is6xwSPOILERS !!!!!!
Siren song, Scylla throat, mutiny, lightning bolt, something about posidon, and kill all the suitors for love
Is the "weather update" is a ref of "welcome to nightvale" ? Because that what it remind me of x)
@willcore_nashton6797 I think is from the "history of the entire world, I guess"
@@Ryuu_Helluva_Hazbin_Fan SPOILERS for vengeance saga. After the vengeance saga, I'm pretty sure its fight Poseidon. I think we'll have to find a video from Jorge to confirm
Honestly, the prophet could actually be singing about both past and future - so Gwendy's interpretation could still be valid
I absolutely love that Gigi's pfp was used to block out the curse words hahahaha
The cool thing about this song is that Jorge purposely made the prophecy about Odysseus's Past AND Future. In order, Tiresias is speaking about the following; Peneleope/ The Sirens, the fight against Polyphemus/ Scylla, the Crews past and future betrayals of trust, and the lost of both Polities and Eurylochus. Sooo good!!!
fun fact; what you've identified as what (I presume) is the monster motif, also appears earlier in the musical- during the end of survive when odysseus goes "im the reigning king of ithaca" etc, the men in the background are singing this motif!!
Don’t know if you know this but the prophet (no idea how to spell his name) says “that’s not a world I know” because in the original odyssey he does help Odysseus
... I mean, what else are songs hanging around the Underworld meant to do if not be backup vocalists?
"that is a cool portrayal of poseidon" *watches future Ody rises out of the water* ... you'll figure it out eventually mr wet hades
I’d definitely spend the rest of eternity being this guy’s backup singer.
Real
Oh my god I just realised the monster motiv you're talking about at the end is also being sung by the soldiers when Odysseus is doxing himself in Remember them. Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
14:18 Casper is so adorable knowing he is right but can't tell mortius!
The lines are for the chorus
Sirens song
Scyllas throat
Mutiny
Lightning bolt
Poseidon storm
Kill all the suitors for love
Make it home
If im correct
That monster motif also appears in the cyclop saga with: Oh ooh oh oh Odysseus! (I am the infamous... Odyesseus!!!)
Maybe I could recommend checking out Krieo's No Longer You animatic as an alternative, cuz for the first chorus, it uses Act I events, while for the second, it uses Act II
Would also highly recommend Ximena's version
What do you mean act 2 isn't coming out soon?! IT'S COMING OUT ON JULY 4th?!
LISTEN we recorded that a while ago 🤣
Yeah they didn't know when it would be released because Jorge hadn't released the trailer for the Thunder Saga until after they'd recorded this.
@officialmortius can you do god games plz
@@matthewthesnowman1753 How did you get to the finale of a reaction series without understanding how blind reactions work 🤔
@officialmortius Some people have limited cognitive abilities, but then again I was also having a dumb brain moment myself yesterday when I asked if y'all would be avoiding the snippets for Act Two, so I'm just as guilty lol.
There is a game called Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical (on steam)
Its a choose your adventure styled musical where you pick the mood/style for the ongoing song and essentially its a musical with alteast 3 main variations.
I agree. Ximena's version is peak.
Yess, that one is my favourite, sad no one ever checks it out :(
Tiresias really said "Hey you're gonna come home but that ain't you" and did the skeletor meme run
I've always liked to view the prophet's "I see a song of past romance. I see the sacrifice of man." etc lines as mentions to both the past AND future. Tiresias sees both, so I like to think that he uses the same words to describe different events; some that have already happened and some that are still yet to come.
I seriously don’t know who this mason (the editor) is but i love him so much his edits are funny and cool 😭♥️
Magicmason1000 is the editor. He’s amazing. He also has his own channel.
I love the imagery during the final Chorus. The Cloaked Red figures remind me so much of Hellfire from Disney's Hunchback.
8:27 this is incorrect, Tiresias explicitly says it's both about the past and the future, so yes the sacrifice of man is Polites
That makes so much more sense, because all this time i've been thinking that it was eurylochus or the men poseidon killed lol
Indeed, I think the line also refers to a certain future sacrifice, but I think it's about Polites too.
@@BeyondTrash-xe1vs I wrote this before the thunder saga dropped so yeah this was probably about Scylla
Funny how the person you’re referring to that’s in the TikTok and guessed some of the choir lyrics right is also gwendy, the same person who’s animatic you’re reacting to😂
I learned that after the fact, what are the odds??
Gwendy was the one who made the TikTok of guessing what the background voices said btw 15:10
SPOILERS FOR ACT 2
Speaking of Oddyseus returning home, there's the song not released yet called "King" that takes the line of "i see your palace, covered in red, faces of men, who have long believed you're dead"
The song is renamed to "Odysseus" to better fit the naming scheme of songs like Polyphemus, Scylla, and Charibdis
@@aadityayanamandra8846Wish they hadn't, "King" is still fitting and doesn't give it away so quickly who the threat is.
@@TailsFan Nah, I like the change. Brings him in line with the other "monsters," given the song is primarily from the suitors' perspective.
@@aadityayanamandra8846 I guess I just think that for someone new to it that hasn't been spoiled on the demos it's kind of a dead giveaway that he's the threat in the song before the song actually says his name.
@@TailsFan I mean, fair enough I guess? To be entirely fair, I think knowing the song titles in and of itself is kind of a spoiler.
That monster motif you mentioned. It was in Remember Them, when Odysseus is doxxing himself. The background vocals follow those notes exactly.
Remember me
(Ooooooooh)
The motif you guys are discussing at the end, that comes from Remember Them! It's first sung in the background at the end while Odysseus doxxes himself lol
That “it’s no longer you” SPOILERS, imo that’s referring to how drastically the events that happen after the prediction change Odysseus,
So basically the the chorus at the end is foreshadowing what happens in the next Saga they are saying; Siren Song, sylla throat, lightning bolt, Poseidon and kill all your suitors for love
Comingo from the future to say the background choir are separated lines:
"Siren's song"
"Scylla's throat"
"Mutiny"
"Lightining bolt"
"Hurt Poseidon"
"Kill all the suitors for love"
The background chorus says Siren Song, Scylla Throat, Mutiny, Lightning Bolt, and I'm unsure of the last two, but I believe they say Run from Poseidon and Kill The Suites For Love
*spoilers*
I do know that ody ends up facing against Poseidon again and has an entire boss battle song with the suiters so I am confident that they're correct
I love how it is the same every song: "You ready?" "Yeah." (NO), total emotional breakdown after some time and Mortius just going "YEAH.", it's just wonderful
I won’t be able to join in on the Premiere, but I can’t wait to watch this!
i love how the animator portrayed the prophet with white glowing eyes instead of a blind fold
it kinda makes me feel like like his eyes arent in this present, theyre traveling through the possible futures
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ACT TWO DO NOT READ (I’m leaving this since epic is now finished)
Since it’s been posted, the choral’s lyrics are “Siren’s song, Scylla’s throat, Mutiny, Thunder Bolt, Hurt Poseidon, Kill all the Suitors for love!”
7:48 "i though we were done" about polites after listening to Wisdom Saga makes this so much more funny like ooh boy
Jorge did share almost the full song title/saga list at one point, except for two mystery song, that is not part of the original Odyssey story, but will be part of Epic only. (We will hear them on july 4th in Thunder Saga)
There are also so many amazing snippets of future songs, including both of those scenarios that Mortius and Casper talked about in their future speculations.
I like to think that the first time the "Prophet song" is said it's referring to the past, while the Second time when He's answering Ody's question He's talking about events to come
It fits well with the "I see past and future running free" Lyric
This song had no business being so heartbreaking, but I love it and the credit goes fully to Jorge, because in The Odyssey the prophet is just like "Yeah, you're good as longs as you don't do [this very specific thing that could be a spoiler even though I'm like 4 months late]"
I think that the animations have it of past events makes it better as it shows what is going through his mind trying to make sense of that the prophet is saying without context Behind what he is saying which leads into his rage of WHO.
7:39 Past? It’s the underworld. And in the underworld your past is never far behind….
Also something I learned, the ghosts behind the prophet in the last verse are saying “Siren Song” “Scylla Throat” “Mutany” and “Lightning Bolt” foreshadowing the entirety of the next Saga
Btw, incase you haven't seen it, the first 4 of lines of the background vocals have been comfirmed, and don't worry, they are not spoilers(Unless you have not seen thunder saga), the first 4 are refering to thunder saga
SPOILERS FOR THUNDER SAGA ONLY, DON'T LOOK IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THUNDER SAGA YET!!!!
1. Siren Song(Suffering)
2. Scylla Throat(Scylla)
3. Mutiny(Mutiny)
4. Lightning Bolt(Thunder Bringer)
Jorge comfirmed these, the first 4, but he said the other ones after are spoilers for sagas after Thunder Saga and didn't share them
The thing i love of this song, is that every event except of the ones of the Palace can be both past and future, making the line of i see past and future running free even greater.
The visuals during "I see you on the brink of death, i see you draw your final breath" are the same as the trailer for the upcoming Thunder saga.
O.G GWENDY IS THE TRUE PROPHET
OMFG THE GIGI “what?!” CENSOR!!! It’s amazing!!!😂😂😂
GIGGLING AND KICKING MY FEET RN IM SO HAPPY THIS VIDEO EXISTS BC I JUST CAUGHT UP IN EPIC SO I WENT OVER TO THIS CHANNEL TO SEE WHAT YOU HAD UP AHHHAISAHUEJSHS
the chorus of souls sounds like it opens with "silence all" "say no more" to me but ive also listened to this song an unhealthy amount of times and may be going insane
hi! info dumping over here SO, in that tik tok that you mention where he says that 1 of those lines where correct he revealed the first 4 but didn´t say the rest because they were part of the future saga. soooo these were the oficial lines that are sang in the chorus
1) SIREN SONG
2) SCYLLA THROAT
3) MUTINY
4) LIGHTNING BOLT
ande he ended saying and i quote, "and i dont want to tell you´the other ones, because those are also spoilers for other parts" i think song 38.
SO i hope this helps calm your curiosity because it surely helped mine😂😂
by the way english isn´t my first language so, sorry for any gramatical mistakes😅.
Winions, be careful. The last time people gave in to curiousity and tried to see what was in the bag 557 men died.
Mr Jalapeño said this Siren Calls, Scylla Throat, Mutiny, thunder bolt and prolly after vengeance saga he'll tell it
7:23 GWENDY HOW DARE YOUUUU 😭😭😭😭😭 LET ME RECOVER FROM UNDERWORLD FIRSTTTT 😭 (rip Odysseus's mom and rip polites btw.)
Dudes dodging spoilers for a 3000 year old book
actually act 2 the thunder saga is coming on none other then July 4th. I know you recorded this a while ago but its coming. I am sure you guys might have already recorded some part of hanimations already and it will come on youtube later. I cant wait to see this and monster reaction. To bad hades never showed up so CF could see real hades instead of wet hades
The real Hades wouldn’t be wet hades, it would be thirst hades, because with all these talented animators I don’t think there would be anyone immune to simping over the underworld god
The lyrics are BOTH! Past and future running free ;)
I might not know all the haunted chorus line, but I'm willing to bet that the very last line is just a single word: "Ody-sse-us" as the futrue version flies at the present version. answering Ody's "Who", and also following the style of when people get all their titles listed before their names get mentioned (like "king of blood")
mort "i'm trying to avoid spoilers for a 4000-odd y/o poem" ius my beloved
The age or relevance of a source material is completely irrelevant to the spoiler rules of an adaptation
Ooh what if the backing vocal lines re-appear in a song in act 2 and that's why Jorge is keeping quiet about what the words are right now?
I WAS DAMN CLOSE
I'm cackling sitting here
Jorge has since confirmed that the first bits of the backing chorus are 'Siren song, Scylla throat, Mutiny, lightning bolt, [??? (personal guess is Whirlpool, I think the captions on Gwendy's animatic also say that?)], [word that sounds an awful lot like Poseidon], kill all the Suitors for love'
Just in case this isn't already known, the First bit of act 2 is suppose to drop July 4th. Can't wait to see it, as well as your reaction
Oh man I didn't realize until you guys mentioned that this is in 6/8 time - well, it's because Tiresias isn't exactly experiencing common time, is he? :D
its been 3 months did anyone tell him the chanting in the back is what the prophet is saying what will happen in the future?
8:55 Zeus’s strike after (man I can’t spells name) kills apollos cow is the sacrifice of man I think
You can't blame them for assuming some of the lyrics were focused on the past.
Oh I don't blame them at all, I said the same thing in my solo reaction :)
Ok now Jay has confirmed the choir lyrics(kind of). “Siren song, scylla’s throat, mutiny, lightning bolt” are the first 4.
Don’t know what the 5th is and the 6th is a spoiler for an even later saga
5:55 I want to see their reaction to the waltz version or the livestream 😂
i love the line "i see you draw your final breath" because most people would think it is talking about odysseus dying, but its not its talking about the fact that after thunder bringer he has gone past the point of no return his whole crew is dead and technically he is the reason the last of them died so its the point where he fully accepts he has become a monster and at that point there is no going back for him he will make it home at all costs even if as the Prophet says it will no longer be him that makes it home.
Low-key one of my favourite songs
The little riff at the end is what the soldiers sang in remember them
It took me this long to realize that the souls of the damned literally tell you what happens in Act 2, you just need the subtitles. I had no idea until I watched another reaction video and they used subtitles the whole time
