For me, the best thing about Episode 9 is how Ben was able to revive someone that even Vader couldn't and he tried it twice in the comics and in the game Vader Immortal.??@@thejessegrant
@@thejessegrantAcolyte episode finale was great it wrapped up all the storylines and lived up to what I predicted in the theories.
It was good that they showed us the senator's view of the Jedi order, which I have held all the time since I watched the tragic story of Anakin and all the violence against sensitive individuals, but also the power of worshiping groups and cults that destroyed life.
Everyone got what they deserved Sol Mae, Osha, Qimir,...
I'm proud of Basil for helping Mae, Qimir's helmet made great sense since we know how strong his connection to the force is.
#Hyperspace disaster/ catastrophe and we saw how Vernestra sensed him without her at such a distance.
And most of all, they could finally see the life action of our beloved Gigachad of the Moon race, Darth Plagueis, man, his rake and his face are so sexy, it's now clear that he had Qimir before Palpatine.
It would be great if Star Wars Legends saw the Darth Plagueis book in a new form for Canon.
Anyway, I can't wait for Acolite season 2, I know that they have several series planned to complete the last phase of the High Republic era, because after the books, comics and series Jedi young andventures.
Acolite and the game Eclipse are probably the last to close this era.
Well, Andor season 2, Tales of the Jedi & Empire together with the Mandoverse projects will close the Skywalker Saga.
and then I will gradually move on to Dawn of The Jedi and Jedi New Order.
And of course the Old Republic era, so far we only have the confirmed Remake of The Knights of the Old Republic with Darth Revan in the main role.
Heck Yeaaaaah the Disney Star Wars timeline is on a much better path than the Star Wars legends projects were.

Actually Disney+ was profitable for the first time last quarter. But that has a lot to do with other factors and i don't think it will go on - not with stuff like this.

I loved the one episode of Star Wars visions “The ninth Jedi” and it’s take on lightsabers and I think it would be a wonderful adaptation of Star Wars. That’s the keyword, adaptation, not canon.
Darth vader had to go find his own lightsaber, and then had that one taken and had to find a new one. Even he had to mess with the crystals before they turn red, and he had to use all of his hatred and anger to turn it red. She just stood there with no expression while it changed. Sums up this show perfectly

Step 1- use actually talented writers.
Step 2- study lore.
Step 3- falling step 1&2, remove the show from streaming and forget it ever existed.
Step 4: keep the rights for the name, brand and logo of the show in case a author come up with a great idea to fill in new content to overwrite the old nightmarish memories

That’s why I didn’t watch the show, I only watched the reviews. I stopped watching StarWars after the last Jedi anyways and I’m definitely won’t pay for a Disney+ account. Disney doesn’t do StarWars, they only make weird, ideological fanfics and nostalgia bait cash grabs.

The main issue is that Sol was completely justified in killing the witch mum. They were doing some possession shit, and showed themselves as objectively violent, and starting Thier dark souls final phase transformation, whilst disintegrating the kid....fuck knows what what have happened if she had been allowed to finish. And Osha kills mentor/friend of many years who explains almost everything to her and holds hands with a mass murderer at the end 🤦🏻♀️

The Acolyte is a show of constant 'Why?' Why did they put Plagueis in the final? Why did they show Yoda? Why didn't Yoda sense the Sith? Why did they show a romance between Osha and the main antagonist? It was rushed and wasn't earned.

I’ve never thought Disney was going “too woke” with their new Star Wars material, but this last episode finally got me to see it. It felt like it was written by someone with an “all cops are bad” bumper sticker.
Just to say "look we've turned everything upside down" as it was genius and not just morons not getting a freaking clue about the story they adapt in the first place.
The Jedi represent discipline, self control and compassion / coexistence. Despite what these people always claim about themselves, those are usually not merits they posses. They don't have any discipline or self control (as evident by their uncontrolled emotional outbursts on social media when being critizised). They don't care about anyone but themselves and despite preaching inclusiveness, they only want to coexist with people that think exactly like they do with no other views being tolerated. In short, the Jedi represent everything they can't achieve and their jealousy spiraled out of control until they couldn't take it anymore and had to try and publicly denounce the jedi so they can feel good about their pathetic selves.
To blur the lines between the concepts of Good and Bad, so no one can tell them their degeneracy is a bad thing, to the point they have to break the one unequivocally clear force of Good(the Jedi) has to be deconstructed in order for their madness to be accepted.
It's a reflection of the whole progressive paradigm: if there's not absolute good and absolute evil we can do whatever we like and we can deflect any criticism.

The story was all over the place! The mae/osha actress could NOT act, not care her friends were massacred in front of her then wanting to sh*g the very murder who killed them! Same face in every scene for every emotion! They made the justification from the Jedi bad. Sol acted in self defense against a Space Witch that could literally turn into a smoke monster at the wrong time! Osha kills her master without even asking him why he killed her crazy child abusive space witch mom! Bald green jedi whip dominatrix nepo actress couldn't act and had zero reasons behind her actions! Look I could go on and on! Nothing in this story makes sense and seriously was written by a person with severe learning difficulties who escaped from a mental asylum 🤦

It's called Bleeding the Kyber Crystal and has been shown in the comics The Rise of Kylo Ren, Darth Vader (2017) and in the game Jedi Survivor.

There is no longer "the lore". It has been thrown out to a dumpster in 2015 (and even sometimes by George Lucas in The Clone Wars - remember Korriban/Moraband, Dathomir and Shredder Darth Bane?).

Sol is an NPC simply going along with the plot. He’s like the tag-along characters you’d get in a video game, if the plot wants him to do something ~ he does it, if the plot doesn’t want him to do something ~ he can’t. The writers (because they don’t know SW) don’t understand Jedi can sense danger and people’s intentions like a ‘spidey-sense’. If they were even on the level of a hack they wouldn’t have killed him in such a pathetic way.

you are absolutely right expect with Velma season 2 that was the old trick netflix invented "order 1 production season with double the amount of episodes and release them as season 1 and 2 to the audience" so no hate watching did not gave us Velma season 2.
The difference with Velma, is that they already did season 2 when season 1 came out, as it was in essence 1 season split in 2. Both are horrendous garbage but that's the only reason Velma had a "2nd season"

Yeah, but the difference is that HBO Max's "Velma" was being ordered for 20 episodes, and it was unnecessarily split into two seasons. Disney, on the other hand, just wasted $180 million in a project that was essentially seen as a really expensive therapy session for Leslye Headland. And there are no plans for a continuation of the story. It was just done in one. So, I don't believe that we are actually getting a second season of "the Acolytes" if they don't know that they should continue the story.
Sequels have to be earned not given in a silver platter.

They are crying racism, but I've not seen any of the big reviewers saying anything to that effect, the only thing about race is like, there are 2 white guys in the entire show and they both look like absolute milk toast whimps.
On the contrary, people often bring up Lando and Mace Windu as some of their favorite characters, and Amandala was beloved prior to the acolyte, on top of that she is amazingly beautiful.
The entire problem this show has is that the plot is beyond stupid and the pacing is slower than a dead snail on a glacier.
