Revisiting this. I'd watch a series of just this. Mac Demarco traveling to obscure places, exploring them. talking with the people, then playing a show at the conclusion of the episode. Reminds me a little of The White Stripes: Under Great White North Lights rock doc, but it should be an ongoing series.
I did the toe shot last month. It was a great experience and I asked the toe captain about mac and he said he was one of his favorite people to do the shot
mac is insanely creative in everything he does. this man doesn't give a fuck about the weird shit he does and his confidence is what i fkn love about him
That song he played at the end is what made me fall in love with Mac Demarco's music. I hadn't really listened much before. So naturally I showed his music to the girl I was with and she said "I don't get it". We aren't together anymore.
What!!!! Mac was in Dawson when I was in Dawson City working...why didn't I pay attention ..early morning shifts can suck. And glad I stumbled upon this nostalgia
that song is high key lit this could have been a hit in the 70's "mama's in the kitchen, cooking something good, daddy's on the sofa, pride of the neighborhood!" that's such a mungo jerry song.
It’s pretty hard to get (decent) weed in Dawson, not sure if that changed since legalization but it always came from BC and was practically dust at that point . As you move further North to communities that aren’t as seasonal (Inuvik for example) you can get decent bud grown there but hard to find as a tourist since the communities are so small
This trip reminds me of my helpx experience this summer but so EW with that toe deal 😁😂🤣😂😁 And the farmin reminds me of my last year prior to this summer of life! The green screenin' oh Mac thank you for sharing this with us hahaha Ooooh what a sweet performance 💟💛💞💛💞💛💞💛💞💛💟

That scene in the shack. Amazing
mac is insanely creative in everything he does. this man doesn't give a fuck about the weird shit he does and his confidence is what i fkn love about him
The toe captain is Les Claypool in disguise and he's trying to steal the Baudelaire children's fortune
Definitely Claypool-like
Underrated comment

The 21 people who disliked this, were locals who don't appreciate 'city folk' coming into their town.

Still one of my favorite Mac jam sessions
The jam session instantly made me smile

Mac being a Twin Peaks fan makes so much sense.
Jeez I fuckin love Mac's style. Haha such a chill dude.
Wish he would bring the rest of his band to those gigs
"pleasure's all yours" - toe captain
