  • Welcome to Barn Talk! In this episode we touch on the challenges faced by American farmers, including sustainability and corporate influence on agriculture. This episode also features a critique of legacy media and a push for authentic content. Political discourse surrounds the upcoming elections with a focus on candidates and the Supreme Court ruling on Trump's ballot eligibility. Additionally, we share our skepticism towards COVID-19 severity, vaccination efforts, and government overreach. The conversation extends to media consumption, trust, and the public's shift toward transparency and authenticity in brands. Other topics include the impact of lockdowns, farming profitability, and a whimsical segment on cereal as a cost-effective meal choice.

I woke up in 2006 when I first discovered Alex Jones and this is the type of show I was craving 10yrs ago, now every show I listen to sounds just like this. Which is good & I am glad everyone is now awake. I don't listen to InfoWars anymore but this exists because of people like Alex Jones as he as influenced untold millions

Not trying to knock your content, but Campbell's didn't buy some mom & pop sauce maker from Italy. They bought Savos Brands, a Colorado based company, for almost $3 billion. Savos bought Rao's Homemade in about 2017. Rao's was created by a family in New York about 20 years ago. I doubt it's ever been manufactured in Italy. The family had been in the US for over 100 years from what I read in their website. A big conglomerate bought a little conglomerate. Want to know what's in your food? Make it yourself...

US has had record corporate profits, record job creation, record unemployment, record oil and gas production, record oil and gas exports, first wage increases in decades, record stock market in last few years. PACT for Vets, finally infrastructure, Chips production that will hurt China. I guess that just isn't good enough to talk about.

@@jacobwatson3781 when they tell you statistics they don't account for inflation. Inflation has been very large in the last four years, even by gov stats (which always try and downplay it). Same as employment stats, they'll suddenly discount large groups out of un-employment stats due to some spurious reason.

Farm bills routinely cost more than advertised. The Congressional Budget Office's (CBO) February 2024 baseline confirms this truism. Advertised as an $867 billion bill, the programs authorized in the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 are now projected to cost taxpayers approximately $1.3 trillion.

There's a huge misconception on the actual money that the USA has sent to Ukraine. Equipment doesn't equal actual money last I've read it was around 23 Million in funding that was sent but that was a few months ago. Also those cereals are still sold at Walmart only around October but still sold.
