Back in Vietnam these were used heavily on fire bases for transporting ammunition for the guns stationed at the base. Of course they could do damn near anything, even be used in combat though i would highly discourage such use for several obvious reasons :P

I used to drive and work on them while I was with 8th Combat Engineers in the Marine Corps (79-89). I 've never seen all-wheel steering
The last time I seen one used was in Desert Storm back in 90-91 civil engineers and supply squadron used them primarily
This thing makes sense. It provides a "bridge" between manpacking something and using a proper vehicle.
the BESTutility vehicle vehicle ever. Why the Marines discontinued them is way beyond me. They were a total work horse in Viet Nam.
