- An imaginary new stadium for Manchester United.
With possible new owners, maybe also a new stadium?
Like or dislike, it is just for fun ...
Should Manchester United upgrade Old Trafford or build a completely new stadium?

I don't know whats the new name gonna be but naming it the theatre of dreams would actually be a good idea, knowing that part of Old Trafford is brought in to the new stadium.
This is by far the best new design I've seen, would be great if they could build this, although I would like to see some of the unique Old Trafford touches in there like keeping the way the dugouts are set up and also the entrance tunnel in the corner to keep some "Old Trafford" familiarity to it
so
i agree. I would be happier if they built it on the current site to keep it there but i know that costs more and would take a lot longer so this is by far the the best iv seen.
100000 times better than that lump of silver metal i saw in one video as a future stadium and the inside looks better too
Thats the kind of stadium that United players and fans deserve!
With the Qatar owners nothing is impossible as it relates to infrastructures. They built 8 world class stadiums for the world cup they won't have any problem building one for Man united
Man, that stadium is HUGE!!!!!
We will have a new stadium only if we can get rid of the Glazers t hey don't have any money to invest neither Sir Jim only the Qatari can do all the investment needed
Manchester United is the only sports club on earth which could fill a 100k stadium every home game. The only reason they're not dominant on the world stage is because of terrible management.
@@vordman oh... and being a terrible club. All the OOTs support Liverpool or Man City now.
this concept is too good to be true but if it does come alive credits to you and to those who will build it
Probably the best new design of a stadium, but would keep the old stadium on site but bring it back to its circa 1994 when the cantilever roof was just completed right around the ground. Refurbished she would probably hold 35 - 40,000 people ideal for the women and youth teams and still on the complex.
@michaelsheridan5606 You honestly think United's women's and youth teams would draw a 40,000 crowd?
@@PSVfanaat Arsenal hosted a women's game at almost 50,000 and United have hosted one over 30,000. The youth cup final at Old Trafford last year had over 67,000.
These numbers aren't the norm of course but there's nothing wrong with setting big numbers as goals, especially for the women's game as it continues to grow.
@@jedsithor problem is that is that money is wasted as an effect of many empty seats as 40000 seats would most likely will never be filled because the womens game just isnt popular. 20000 is more reasonable
@@bali27 Yep, better to play in a smaller stadium than play in front of banks of empty seats. Players hate that. They need crowds to respond to.
Would be great to keep the Munich Tunnel and the statues where they are.
Hell of a concept! There’s some great ideas for redeveloping or completely rebuilding Old Trafford going around and all hugely ambitious. 100,000 😎
Thanks Cheshire red. The one shown should win it easy compared to the other designs they look like out of one of the kids films the navigator. If those one of them beats it to the architect who designed the new theatre of dreams wins, does this mean it will take off like a space ship, all the way back to Florida with the glazers. The new theatre of dreams would win easy,as it looks Qatar designed and it's class!
Yeah that name would also have been fire.
Could be 85,000-90,000 thousand capacity. Probably special occasion they can expand it to 100k.
I think it's what Man U deserves considering the history of the club. As Arsenal fans, we let go of most sentimentality attached to the old Highbury ground and moved forward.
100,000 capacity…. I don’t think Wembley Stadium can hold that many 😭😭😭😭😭
Brilliant stadium like Barcelona which is what Man United need.
What! the Nou Camp is terrible. Like the club which calls it home it's falling apart. Seriously, it might look good on TV but iwhen you're there it's decrepit.
@@vordman I have only seen the Nou Camp on TV it still has a great reputation either way and is the largest football stadium in Europe.
@vordman no he mean the new one which barcelona will renew
Just visited Nou Camp and it's terribly in need of upgrade.
We have to move with time the original stadium looks great inside but to much iron structures from the outside and especially the roof, the roof dips down and you cannot see the other side of the stadium to see all the fans when you are on the top tiers
this new model is a breath of fresh air and with 100.000 seats and state of the art design is a way forward we are still Man Utd we will still play at old Trafford it will be just the same journey we already make to the stadium on match days, we need to do this
Fully agree with you..
So compacted of iron from outside view..seems like hydroponic plantation
Like it....but don't want to move. The ground is Sacred soooo much history. It wouldn't be the same
100k capacity biggest stadium in the UK
Definitely worth the rebuild
We need the Qatar group definitely!
Man united having a stadium like that would be a true theatre of dreams.
Definitely need a very good stadium and hopefully New owners
Not even a united fan but like the ambition of this, the old ground kept as a training space I presume. The one thing missing is a massive circular screen like SOFI Stadium in LA, but there has to come a point United need to bite the bullet and move with the times, they have the fan base (just may need to build an airport on site as they all live outside Manchester ;-) )
Cant have that style of screen at OT with the weather and fifa rules about having stadiums being completely covered up.
Now that's a stadium worthy of the great Manchester United
Looks like a silly basket case.
@@navinmenon7671 nah it looks like a Pokemon ball from the top
At the moment it's the 'Theatre of Nightmare and comedy' all rolled in one 😂
nothing wrong with the stadium, just the players and owners! 😡
And which loser club do you support clown, United have earned everything as a club by their own merit no oil money
Highbury was iconic but no-one complains about the Emirates now. I'm a Man Utd supporter, but now... years after they all slagged off Wenger for building the new stadium and not investing in the club, this year they will win the Premier League. It took them 10 years to get to that stage if not more. Man Utd is a club in HUGE debt, with terrible owners and only Ten Hag to give us hope. There is simply NO WAY a new owner will commit to a new stadium like this, except... QATAR. They are the only people who have the resources. Its simple, if they buy the club, they have 9 stadia they have already the experience of building. However, they won't have the cheap Indian labour to build New Old Trafford will they. Doubt it will happen to be honest. Nice video though.
Nice idea, but would look better if those central ‘rings’ weren’t so regular. They could be offset and angled slightly upwards. This would look less like a skeletal St Paul’s and mimic the sentiment ‘raising the roof’.
Good idea ,will take a long time to develop, best to make old Trafford into a museum
Retractable roof is what is a must in Manchester
I'm a lorry driver who spends a lot of my time in and out of the freight terminals next door to Old Trafford. Unless United physically own the land they have no chance of using that land
Who own the land there? Its a residential area?
@Cobra no it isn't, on that side of OT it's all commercial, there are no houses at all
They don't need to move to a new location. The current ground is enough to upgrade
They do own a lot of land around old Trafford which the club bought .
by far the best concept and video i’ve seen of how OT could look in the future! If only they’d do it!
It´s similar to Mane Garrincha stadium in Brasilia.
This stadium looks a lot better than the Bernabeu style toilet seat stadium I've seen on other videos.
Exactly the Kind of Stadium We Need.
That new design is class
I really love it! 😍
We badly need a total upgrade of the stadium (with elements of OT to retain some heritage and keeping the names of the stands), training facilities and redevelopment of the surrounding area and the city... hence Sheikh Al Thani over Ratcliffe
Great concept!
Man Utd should go for something truly groundbreaking with the stadium.... They are probably the only club that can justify building a 110,000 seater stadium.... They should make a huge statement abd make it tye best in the world...
Exactly for a club which claims (or brag) to be the most supported in the World, it has to have a world class stadium to justify such statement.
several clubs could jsutify such a stadia. Greedy owners nullify the chances tho.
Sick concept although I’d like some of old Trafford to stay, I don’t want the whole stadium to be demolished as it’s so iconic.
It's iconic yes but it's in a rely bad state. And poorly designed. As much as I hate to admit it we need a brand new stadium
@@Jordan-bg7xc don’t get me wrong we do need a new stadium but I would like some of the features to remain.
@@jamestyler12JT definitely the douge out for one needs to be kept
@@jamestyler12JTwe should build outside the stadium memories of the old one moments in statue like ole goal in 1999. Sir alex lifting the ucl and stuff

As much as I love old Trafford we need a new stadium rely badly the current one is just not up to standard this would be perfect
More tourists lol

@@barneyb1857 I work at Old Trafford haha probably there more than u the current stadium is in that bad of a state it needs rebuilding desperately
Manchester United best biggest club in world football I'm villa fan love this amazing clubs like Liverpool FC and arsenal FC
They would have to find a new site where you've placed it is on top of a Rail freight terminal. Which is a life line not just for Manchester bit the whole North West of England.
Well if you want to fill a stadium with 100k Man Utd fans the best site would be London.
@@thefivepoints bring something new mate....this is a rotten joke
@PepeLaugh you wouldn't be able to do that with it being a big freight terminal and not just a railway line. If you wanted to do what you say the present site would be better.
United own a lot of land around Old Trafford so there are a couple of places they could build.
@JedsDeadBaby on the video it put on the Rail Freight Terminal which is owned by a international company.
I was only chatting with a friend who's a utd fan about this today and he even mention near too Trafford Centre would be ok.
Has long as it stayed within Trafford that's all.
Man Utd's Old Trafford stadium that a bit if TLC won't cure.
All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton's Stand with a 2nd tier to complete the original design & the removal of the 3rd tier of the Sir Alex Ferguson's Stand & replaced by TV Screens for all 4 corners.
We also want a levelled new Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant a 90K capacity in comfort.
SBCS 25K +
SAFS 25K +
SES 20K +
ES 20K = 90K.
The expansion should not exceed the rail track.
Old Trafford known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' unique in style is the Super Bowl of stadiums & is potentially The best Stadium in the country, possibly the world.
I've actually thought about this quite a lot, we can pay homage to our history by having 2 stands total 58,000, 3 stands total 68,000 and all four stands total 99,000. It would be 10+27+31+31 thousand in the 4 stands
With out having naming rights the surrounding land ,we could call it the united community stadium on an named united park. No names on the stands and rename roads after sir Alex Ferguson way and sir Bobby Charlton way etc?
Just sell our soul to the red devil new trafford
No league ground can be bigger than the national stadium which is 90k. Nice dreaming tho!! FA Rules!!
@@wespearcey5953 OK, 86,000 then for the year Ferguson joined, imagine a stretford end with 20,000 then a SAF side with 26,000 (for his tenure) SBC side with 24,000, and then a 16,000 side, 86,000 beast
Omg huge spectacular hope dreams come true i can witness a game inside and support my man united team to the fullest
Best concept seen so far
Manchester United have been talking about building the ultimate stadium since they were formed in the first decade of the 20th century, so I very much doubt this one will happen either.
that’s the ☝️ the stadium and all the landscaping surrounding it 👌🏽
Beautiful
What we need is a team that performs.
Have to admit that this much better than some of the designs that have been shown. But it has to be really ambitious and innovative to make its mark. Look at the new SoFi stadium in the States - that's the new bench mark for sports stadia.Trouble is that it cost $5.2 billion! But it has made the designs of the new Bernabau and soon to be built Camp Nou look out of date.
Sofi stadium looks more like a concert stadium tbh
Glazers Out 🔰🔰🔰🔰🔴
that's beautiful.. i was hoping for a Rolling Roof... give it the Theatre Of Dreams.. look! & 110K Capacity.. why not lol we beat them..!
I would love this stadium it is completely different to all the other stadiums and it will be red all the round
Really good
Wonderful ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm no Mancunian but I honestly think this shouldn't be United's new stadium.
In the Netherlands we have an exoression "13 in a dozen", this is a 13 in a dozen arena. Meaning it's just a big stadium but nothing unique. It would lack the soul and spirit the current Old Trafford has. You can't recreate that.
In my humble opinion United should opt to undertunnel the railway, thus providing room to build out the Main Stand to the same standard as the other 3 stands, including two new quadrants in the corners. Maybe even a complete new roof.
That way Old Trafford will stay Old Trafford with its unique soul and spirit, and you will have close to that 100k capacity.
By the way, I'm not sure but isn't there a rule that says no domestic stadium in England can be larger than Wembley? So 90,000 would be the limit.
Wow that's awesome 👌 fantastic yes Man Utd 😅😊❤
This looks fantastic but acquiring that landmass will be a challenge, there's a real possibility that to have maximum potential and future proofing we might need to consider moving away from old Trafford to build somewhere else
Nah we own the land rd o.t 👍
@az thats good to hear
Only really one option if there's new owners that want to revamp and it's a new stadium next door. The railway behind the south stand just causes to many problems..... To revamp the southbstand the machines, diggers work force would have to be on the pitch as there's nowhere else to go.... City have told united no chance for a year at emptyhad. United already own the land towards the carparks and behind the ticket office where a new stadium would go..... Then there's the cost, to revamp and only get about a further 9k max to the capacity it would cost best on £400-500m to do...... New owners, like spurs did can build a fantastic new 100,000 stadium for let's face it £900m in the end. They can still play at OT til it's built then open up and get everyone in and actually reduce the ticket costs too.
It's sad to see OT go, but it's been there since 1909 and because of the glazers it's looking old and tired now. I'll be gutted, as I've been going since 1984 and my dad since the 1950s.....but like Everton, arsenal, spurs and many others.... Time and progress goes on and man utd is no different. But if my kids and myself all get to go in a new and much bigger stadium then that's the future.... It's gutting but reality
Well said but do united own the Rail Freight terminal behind stretford end? Its just like you said the reason for the main stand not being done is the same snagging point with the canal behind the other stand?
It’s funny how Little Citeh won’t let United use the Emptyhad considering it isn’t theirs as they inherited it in 2002 after the Commonwealth games plus it would kill them seeing United fill it when they don’t and can’t 🤣🤣🇾🇪🇾🇪👹👹🖕🏻🖕🏻
@@carlturner6625
That's why they wont entertain the idea.... United would actually fill it and have 30k outside trying to get in

can you do a concept for my benfica stadium, maybe look in to our older one with 120.000 seats for inspiration.✌🏽
Yep like that would happen. Like network rail are gonna get rid of the rail freight depot that makes over a 200 Million a year. Most that will happen will be a extension to the south stand and quadrants. They won't allow Old Trafford to be knocked down its far to iconic.
Have you got corporate hospitality boxes in there? Are they between the bottom tier and the second?
This is great, well done. To add more will be to increase the screen all round no gap large all-round screen. But in reality, I would like the current stadium to be upgraded and improved, not rebuilt.
I've recently flew my drone around old Trafford and its land locked. One side is a canal behind main stand railway lines which might be the reason for that stand never being updated like the rest.
It will always be the theatre of dreams
Send this to the quatar empier this is perfect
That looks like what I keep my little fish 🐟 in lol 😆 😋
if this is the idea man so cool.... buy the land 1st then build the main stadium alongside other facilities.... main stadium wud be best have some similarities of old trafford designs or any...finish all then maybe say goodbye to old old trafford....
Old Trafford is the best stadium so far in London
Old Trafford is in Manchester bro.
Those sitting in the bottom tier might be a tad wet! Bit of an oversight by the designers as in not knowing Manchester climate!
And PS ……… we require a new team firstly!
dont demolish it 😢 ever 🥺
I love this... very beautiful to behold
Fun concept,, but I still want a rebuild on OT like Bernabeu but with a more traditional industry look...
i hope they keep the old trafford's dugout stand design, it is so iconic
beutiful
And the railway line pops off?

brilliant but that a lot of ground to buy, someone mentioned the cricket ground......no where near the footy ground
Wow Wow Wow ❤
Build the new stadium 120k capacity. Renovate old stadium 75k capacity for the women’s team. Now that makes a statement.
