- Vegas Dave vs Gary Vee, Remember it was me 3 years ago that shook this sports card market by storm and predicted this boom. Everyone laughed at me when I spent $400,000 on a piece of cardboard instead of buying a house or investing it in another opportunity. I made a bold prediction to the world that my Mike Trout rookie card would break the all time Honus Wagner record. 2 years later I executed my vision and the card sold for just under $4,000,000. Not only did this silence the haters and critics, it got the sports card industry to explode. People now viewed cards as a huge money making opportunity and not just a hobby.
Now I am the first person in the world to predict the sports card market will collapse by the end of 2024. This reminds me of the sub prime mortgage industry crash in 2007.
I currently still have money invested in this industry but if what's going on currently in the market does not stop immediately, not only will the card industry die, the hobby will be gone forever as well

He’s a smart business man, this video isn’t about saving the market, it’s a simply a way to tell us to be scared of the crash and sell now, force us to inflate the card market even more, just so he can sell his carr rookies and once the man who controls a lot of the industry buys out, then cards drop in price and he can say that he predicted the crash. This video was to push the narrative of him and Gary vee to make more money and to inflate the card market even more, he’s a smart man🤝

Nah it’s just how the market works, the hobby is flourishing and growing bigger than ever, if anything prices are going back to where they should be. Besides collectors like myself love when the prices go down, 2024 is Kobe’s year so you definitely wrong on that. Cards will still hold value in a recession, if everyone lost all their money today but had Pokémon cards they could still play them, and If paper money is still a thing, so will shiny cardboard

Anyone remember the late 80's early 90's? Everyone wanted to be a card dealer,now everyone wants to be a breaker or have a YT channel to tell you who to buy. Every company who is printing cards is making millions of cards and millions of dollars. The hype of this 'hobby' is crazy right now,Dave is right,we are in another junk wax era and the prices are more hype than real value. Gamers in moms basement are now breakers who dont know the players in any sport at all and are in it for the money....same thing happened in the late 80's early 90's except the difference is you didnt have the ebay or any other platform online to buy cards,you bought cards at a card shop. Its coming.

Before the super bowl, I watched on Ebay that Mahomes auto cards were selling for $1k to $5k. After the super bowl and Mahomes team lost, Mahomes auto is struggling to sell above $1k unless it's PSA 10 rated or rookie card.
