The PSA grade modifiers is one of the major reasons dealers and collectors still choose PSA and bash BGS. BGS will explain the grade with the BGS report card and that grading element will explain the final grade assigned by BGS (which will always be lower than the grade assigned by PSA). It's a way to cheat the system. PSA is incredibly guilty of this! They need to just assign the proper grade to the card as BGS does.

About the silver/refractor cards. Watch out for people selling 90's refractors. A lot of them it doesn't say refractor on the back as they do now. I notice it all the time on ebay. I always ask for more pictures so i can see if it is really a refractor by the shine, maybe ask for a different angle etc.

One thing I really disliked about this is I am a new seller on Ebay and for me no one is willing to purchase anything from me because I have no sales so now I have to resort to trying to sell on other platforms. This is horrible for new sellers because now everyone is unwilling to purchase.

Why must eBay sellers use up valuable title space by adding "Read Description" (or some variation of that) to the title of their eBay listing to alert the buyer of damage? Shouldn't buyers be reading the item description anyway? You imply that sellers are being dishonest if they only mention the defect in the item description. If anything, those sellers ARE being honest. It's the sellers that don't mention flaws at all that are being dishonest. Now if a seller uses a much smaller font to mention the flaw like Teapot says I can see that as being shady. But for me as a seller personally, I keep my item descriptions very short (I get it, it's a pain in the butt to read a long description) and mention any defects and keep my font size consistent. In my opinion it's the responsibility of the buyer to read the item description and terms ahead of time. If they read about the damage in the description afterwards they can request to cancel or if they notice the damage when they receive it they can send it back for a refund. I'm okay with that.

The eBay feedback is tough. PEOPLE, LEAVE FEEDBACK!! I’ve built up a little bit on there from buying but I’m trying to build up more as a seller and no one who buys from me will leave feedback! Leaving feedback helps the buyer and/or the seller you’re dealing with build a good reputation and only takes a few seconds to leave a positive review! People have to start at 0 so not all low feedbacks are bad, they could just be new to the hobby! Just be aware of it! And multiple negative feedbacks is usually a red flag for sure. I bought like 30 cards at .99¢ to get a little buyer feedback but now as a seller, once the card is sold and I ship the following business day, it’s like the buyer doesn’t go back into the listing ever to leave a positive review!

Missing autos and cards from panini when you pay $1000 a box for crappy quality control. Then when you get ripped off by a scammer they give you bad feedback and so a bad comment is posterized on your selling page. I have a couple bad feedbacks from nut cases who ripped me off and then i get to read there bad feedback for months

eBay’s not without problems I sold a Kobe RC, guys says he’s a doctor, the card shipped 3 days after purchase, destination Hong Kong, a few emails later they said they never received it, so the whole 30 days they didn’t open a case on eBay, they waited after 30 days and went running to PayPal. By this time I emptied my PayPal account out, but PayPal sided with them and refunded them, so they got a free card plus a refund from PayPal, although Japan post answered emails, good luck tracking anything sent there and in time the tracking number went cold, so after many calls, emails, complaining, sending screenshots, PayPal finally credited back the purchase amount. It was a good thing I emptied out my PayPal account when I did, because PayPal had to pay them, so they know how to skirt the system, straight up scammers.

Don't buy re-packs with "big chase cards" supposedly in them! You will never get them most of the time. . . Check feedback of these sellers. They will almost always have negative feedback. Your tip to not buy ungraded cards is absolutely STUPID! You don't need to pump subjective grading companies that time after time screw things up. . . Even to the point of slabbing all these fake, trimmed, backdoored, and altered cards!!! Do you not read forums? Just because something is in a slab doesn't guarantee anything, and just because something is raw doesn't mean it won't grade gem mint!
