You didn't do any damage to the Golem with Magike Speregonne because the ability is magic based. Magik bounces off of Golem cores, so you can't hit them with that. It also scales off your magic stat, so if you're trying to do damage with it, you gotta actually pump some stats into magic for it. Friendly reminder to double check the descriptions on those abilities. It's easy to forget that the Vocation is a dual role.
You can unlock spear hand within the first 2hrs of the game. You have to do 1 main story quest(do queens regent it takes 10 minutes) then take a cart back to melve.. Then to really cheese kill the dragon with the ballista and you can unlock its master ability and one of the best weapons for the vocation
I killed the dragon, no maister teaching or weapon. Sigmund just said ‘well that was a fake dragon..’ (in essence, not those words). So I still had to go to dragonhead tower
You actually aren't locked to the map it seems, if you wished to take the long way to get classes and level up early, you can try to run your way as a thief all the way to the volcanic region maybe, to get the Wayfarer, which lets you level up ALL vocations at once it seems. There are 2 side passages to get to bakbattahl, one in the west (full of bosses and enemies, but if you skip them you can run through them), one in the east through a cave (you need to bypass the 'slippery slope' to get to the 'exit' of the cave though, its meant to be one way exit to vernworth, but certain vocations with abilities could skip it if you wanna go backwards)... For speedrunning.
For anyone who doesn't know: In order for the dragon to apear in Melve you must complete, at least, one of the 3 tasks that Brant gives you at the end of the mission called “Seat of the Sovran”.
Humble Offinge or Jedi Force Throw is very very OP if you set it up right. A enemy that falls down has to take time to get up, you can repeatingly slam groups of them with your redoubted bolt using the RB/R1 AoE extension to further 'trap' multiple targets, but a single target will do. When a ragdoll hits a enemy, they too will fall down and ragdoll, means they are game to be 'force thrown' again, over and over and over again. Now what happens if you have a pile of like 10-20 enemies in one spot and a giant boss is nearby? Hit the boss with 20 bodies, over and over and over again! Thrown physics will do a ton of stagger damage! Bolt a target from a distance, then teleport onto them, then force throw them into another group, remember to hold the button to recharge the bolt again, and recast it so you can catch up and teleport to them again... Then force throw them, and charge your bolt while you are throwing them. If you are in a rush somewhere and keep seeing hordes of enemies in your way, stunning them and throwing them away is the best way to kill them quickly.
Me too. Then i played it i realized the thief i was playing so far was so much smoother and funnier (and stronger) than it... Really sad about the end result of it despite the whole idea being awesome/
@@DemonicInfinitymystic spear hand is just as strong. Makes it easy to reach the back of monsters. You can protect your entire party with a ridiculous bubble that shouldn’t behave the way it does. You can actually stun monsters if you hold the charge long enough. Overall, it has everything you need, range, mobility, utility, and damage. Tornado? Bubble, meteor? Bubble. Launch towards monster teleport vertically, you’re on its back.
@@DemonicInfinityThief is a zoomer class. Everything else is going to feel slow and sluggish in comparison. The downside if thief is that you run out of stamina really fast if youre spamming skull splitters or other thief skills.
MSH felt so slow after playing thief… Feel like the only fun ‘Arisen’ only class is MA. TS is niche and cool but can get boring fast. Feel like I’m maining Ma > Thief > Archer. Disappointed with MSH. I HATEEE the spin spear combo finisher animation! Gets me hit from dodgeable attacks so much!
Mirour Vesture (shield) into Wild Furie* (mastery skill) + Thef's Hond (stamina stealing) are a deadly combo that can shred any boss. I recommend atleast these 3 for anyone playing the vocation and to speedrun getting the mastery skill when possible
best spearhand loadout to me seems to be the dash, sky jump, shield and the fourth slot for your most preferred skill. I usually put in the master skill but the telekenisis can be fun
I use these 3 with the stamina drain skill, and I'm basically a God. My team is unkillable with the shield bubble fighting dragons, as I keep it up 100%.
You can get the final Skill and the Dead Ringer Duospear for Mystic Spearhand early using the Ballista Method to kill the Dragon or using the Thief skill in Melve!
@@christopherheiser6090 I think he's talking about the thief skill that lets you loot an item off an enemy when you hit it with Carve. You can use it to loot the Dead Ringer Duospear from the dragon at melve when you fight it. It's how I got the duospear as well
You’ll get a really good double spear, and the Mystic Spearhand Meister skill if you actually kill the dragon in Melve instead of just repelling it. You can accomplish that by running past the dragon and up the hill to the ballista on the tower. It takes 3-4 shots from the ballista to kill it. You do need at least one pawn to be able to horizontally aim the ballista so anyone doing a solo run will want to consider that.
@@resortX it’s really big. You only have control of the ballista itself which fires and moves up and down. To turn left and right you need another person to grab it and push it. If you’re asking why the developers made it that way idk it’s their game lol.
I just hit the dragon a bit to get it's hp down a bar or so before going for the ballista. Managed to kill it with two shots after that. It was pretty close because the second shot missed at first and the dragon started to take off. It crashed down on a house but I still managed to climb on top of it to loot it.
I've been using the Wild Furie + Stamina regen + Stun combo. Start with a stun, mash Wild Furie while charging another stun, let the stun go at the end of the Wild Furie combo, sap stamina while the boss is stunned and continue charging another stun, let that stun go and start another Wild Furie combo then rinse and repeat until the health bar is gone.
I always found the laser beam (the one you didnt like) to be pretty strong. I would use it point blank on a downed monsters head and it would delete HP bars. Yeah, its aim is GARBAGE and the wobble should probably be toned down but if you full stamina bar burn it and you make sure you're so close you cant miss, its stonger than the master skill IMO. Probably gonna put it back on as my "Big damage" move for boss monsters
Hopefully this helps people. There's loads of ways to get the ability from him. If anyone messes anything up with him then you can max his affinity with gifts. If he doesn't give it to you when it's maxed then you will have to wait till he randomly approaches you( you'll see a little gold marker on your mini map just pop up. ALWAYS check out the random gold markers that pop up on your mini map!!!) He'll want you to escort him somewhere. He led me to a drake. And yes this all took place after I had already killed the infected one he wanted me to in the first place. I got the weapon from the drake but the dude just just disappeared without giving me the skill. Go back to his house after a day has past and he will give you the skill after the escort.
Yes i think the first level is tapping it. The second level is holding for 5 seconds. 3rd level is hold for 8-10 seconds. Each level makes the stun/slow stronger

If you use the ballista to kill the dragon in melve. You get the master ability and an end game spear. Reload your save if it flys off, and aim for the head.
if you manage to kill the drake attacking melve village you will get both a very strong weapon for mystic spearhand and Sigurd will be willing to teach you the mastery skill right after first talking to him to unlock the vocation. The easiest way to accomplish this is to use the ballista on the tower up the hill
This was an expansion class in Dragons Dogma Online. Very fun! Wish they allowed us to have more than 4 skills active like in the online version of this game.
on the other hand the new core skills are better than a lot of weapon skills in the first game, and most of the time you would just spam one skill over and over (helmsplitter, holy focused bolt etc. etc.)
Question about the Spear Hand: what body type is the best this vocation? Buff so you can have good armor? Light for the extra speed? A healthy balance?
My character is skinny and light. I main mystic spear hand. If your hand the mirror shield you should be okay if your smart with it. But when I get hit without the shield I notice myself getting staggered a lot and it takes me a long time to recover.
ddont sleep on the telekinetic skill, that shit slaps hard. Especially thee upgraded version. Big group of enemies, kill one or two, then just start throwing bodies at the remaining until theyree dead and add them to thee body pile youre throwing around. Insanely strong
I like it but i dont see an upside as opposed to stunning a large group with the bolt aoe then just wade in with the spinning spear move and melt their HP, you can skip the bolt part and just shield up and do the same thing. Especially with a mage that casts an affinity spell. I have my main pawn a mage with fire affinity and always hire an archer with tarring arrows............groups of enemies quite literally melt. Level 42 and its been unstoppable.............
Bro if you forget thete is a ballista in melve. Then too bad to killing the dragon for an early powerful weapon. And sigards automatic approval of your arisens abilities to give you the mystichand spear ultimate skill wild furie
A little build idea for you that I am running currently. Use Warfarer with Mystic Spearhands shield, Sorcerers Augral Flare and Ricochet Hunter(Can change with Martyrs if you want). You melt healthbars and are overall well suited for every single scenario
warfarer is my fav class cause i like the hybrid nature, magic archer + spearhand + either mage staff or sorc staff, for stamina or healing. But i love spearhand so much xD its just super satisfying from the movments to the skills . There is a mod in nexus that someone made for warfarer that lets you make skill sets that switch based off your weapons with rearment. Very fun to play around with. But mods are not for everyone.
I still havent unlocked the Spearhand, but i'm pretty sure the Magike Speregonne scales on Magic Attack, so maybe try that, since it seems you are focusing mostly on physical attack
Tried the spearhand and I thought it sucked. The mobility is nice but it seems really bad at dealing damage to weak points because they are usually just out of his reach and he doesn't have any good ways of dealing damage while grappling like thief and fighter do, and it doesn't really have enough stagger to warrant that weakness, unlike warrior. It also has no way of mitigating or avoiding attacks unlike every other melee class so you end up getting hit a lot unless you're doing the finger acrobatics to constantly be charging up and throwing out the stun/slow, and then you're only getting hit sometimes. To me it felt like the worst melee vocation by far.
Have to agree. It’s great for accidentally Yeeting yourself off cliffs. The vertical attack does no damage on the way up, so triggering it from right under his heart causes you to fly through it and stab his back on the way down
I found the dude in Melve during a dragon attack I believe and I spoke with him and bam, I got the job and the only main ques I remember completing was rescuing the magistrate, I haven done the rest of the missions, so far I been doing sub-missions
Triggering winding cut is a real pain in the ass when you play with a controller. It's quite easy to press a button fast enough when using your fore finger or middle finger. But if you have to use your thumb to press it fast enough, it's really hard to do. Wish they would make it a bit easier to trigger.
I killed the dragon in Melve using the ballista, just as it was about to fly off, didn't get the duospear (I assume it is not a 100% drop) or the maister skill... unless I overlooked it and threw it into storage... I did unlock the vocation though.

I'm playing wayfarer as a heavy armor sorcerer spearhead hybrid, which is fun but if you play warfarer you passively level every profession which is cool.
Offering is situational, but those situations just keep coming up. You can throw enemies off cliffs, throw multiple bombs and I've even one shot a cyclops that was around a dozen bombs.
The thief meister ability is far an away the best skill imo. It is so broken I don't even use it. It makes you completely invulnerable by instantly automatically dodging every attack for as long as you have stamina and the cost is tiny. I can use it for almost a minute constantly.
The Thief meister ability only dodges physical attacks, which is still incredible, but the Mystic Spearhand ability negates ALL damage and prevents stagger effects while providing the same exact shield to your pawns. I would argue it's objectively a better skill.
@@keystonelyte Exactly. 1 person dodge vs entire party being completely invulnerable. It isn't even an argument. I doubt thief will get nerfed but shield is just asking for it.
I've been knocked off balance by drakes landing while shielded, so either that's bugged or it doesn't prevent all forms of stagger. It is insanely busted overall tho @vincentcavanagh1784
I thought that what be the class i wanted to play before i got the game, but when i played it, i just wanted to go back to being thief class. The thief hookshot ability is just too good and fun
@@leemcgee5164 Kind of, it hookshots enemies to drag them towards you, and stagger them, or make them fall over. On big enemies it can drag them down if they are staggering. You can't fly up ledges or hookshot to enemies heads or anything
Mirror shield doesn’t expire after 3 hits. Non upgraded it lasts for 5 seconds fully upgraded it lasts for 8 seconds doesn’t matter how many times you’re hit within those time frames
The levitating skill is my favorite and fun crowd control. Stagger a guy, throw him to stagger another guy, and before u know it ur throwing 6 guys at the last one
This was the first class I played, early on it def. was not as strong as Thief, only because of thief getting Headsplitter which will one shot bosses health bars, and later combined with Flare from Sorc will one shot 4-5 health bars lol.. But Yea I love this class, its just so flashy and fun to play.
Is anyone else experiencing the bug where unto heaven is not hitting large boss monsters? Like they will he stunned, my weapon clearly hits them, but nothing. Is this just me?
you cannot use unto skie/heven on enemies larger than yourself if i’m not mistaken. it may say something about it in the description of the move i can’t remember, lmk if you find anything out!
I tried getting into spearhand and i just couldnt get into it, i never figured out how to effectively play the vocation so I ended up going back to thief but thanks to this vid ima try it out again, not about to let a skill issue get in the way of enjoying the class that made people buy the game💀
If you kill the pimple dragon with the ballista in melve you will get a s tier weapon from the dragon and the skill wild furie from the spearhand master instead of waiting till almost the end of the game to get it. Good luck

Everyone over hyping this vocation so much. Endgame, this class is weak as hell. It's fun for sure, but cant drop bosses at all late in game. Especially if you try to run solo.
@sitalius7591 no I main wayfarer. I was magic archer main, now I main wayfarer to use flare from sorc and magic archer to drop a boss before he can even attack now. Strongest combo in the game par none. Can also use a healing spell if you want or anything you desire.
The shield is the most op skill ive seen in a game, a shield that you can use most of the time and makes you immortal, for like 6 seconds, when it ends you can use it agains, and it gets applied in all your allies within range...
@@ApexFaiDural Two abilities are better at tanking than the whole trickster class.... And you can damage with the drain too... People saying it's damage is weaker than thief don't understand what unhindered pawns can do. I've thought about warfarering with trickster for the AOE damage buff, then just focus completely on shielding, draining, and aoe buffing.
The "best overall way to avoid damage" is to just keep your shield up. The ground stab isn't worth it since it means you have to give up one out of the shield (no), Thief (no) or Ultimate (no).
For me, I gave up the lunge stab, since for moving around the enemies I just use the quick fot (the teleport right after the bolt), in this case the lunge stab becomes redundant. While the ground stab is really strong for "parrying" incoming attacks/mounting.
So i got the Wild Furie skill after I killed the dragon in Melve, i just though the game wanted you to kill the dragon with the ballista... game gives a scene and town comments positively, so i assume the devs wanted this as an option. Sigurd gave me the vocation and Wild Furie right after i talked to him in Melve after the fight. Also dragon dropped an OP weapon for the Mystic Spearhand, especially for early to late game.
He gave me wild furies right then after we beat the dragon the second time. I didn’t have to wait at all. Just had to initiate conversation with him twice right there
I think if you really tried, you could have done it without mystic. I did, as it mostly by making my main pawn a completely defensive healing mage with an enchant. After playing warrior so long, mystic spear feels too easy- the only way you die is by wasting stamina and not keeping your shield up.
Playing mystic spearhand but as warferer. Why? Because I still get to use 4 abilities from spearhand, can use any armor, and level all vocations at the same time. Its basically spearhand on steroids 😁
Yes that is fair. But since I am not there yet in the story, its not a big loss for me. I kind of jumped zones and did the volcano area. When I get that ability I might have to rethink my life choices 😅
Warfarer is the goat bc you can mix magic archer, spearhand, and mage or sorc. I enjoyed archer, magic archer is much better, but being able to blend 3 together is the best, imo.
Winding Cut is the biggest drawback to this Vocation for me. It's too easy to activate it. I have to pace my clicks super slow otherwise I use it accidentally and end up in an animation I can't cancel when I want to move out of the way or activate the bubble shield. It's annoying af
cant get the master skill, quest is broken for me. In the fight with the dragon on the roof of the tower (later in rhe game) npc died. I slayed the dragon and i revived the npc, but he ignored me. Back in his house, he still ignoring me. This is bullshit
The reason why you didnt do damage to golems with the magic spear attack is because they are immune to magick damage. You need to attack the glowing weak points with physical damage
I hope they fix that spear skill where you shoot the projectile from your spear after you charge it up. I really like the looking feel of that and I was hoping it can do some knock down damage to big monsters
The attack scales off Magic dmg. 2 ways to boost this are to level while playing Sorc and Mage (vocation influences stats), the other is your gear, and where you upgrade it .The Elvish smith gives you more Magic Defense and Attack bonuses. Other smiths have different stat priorities.
Magick archer is ridiculously op with martyr's bolt. Just to see how stupid it can get, I fully charged it in the final fight. The fight was over in a second. Showing that to a friend who was amazed by another vocation's "overpowered" ability was fun, but sadly robbed me of an interesting finale. Even without that ability, MA is still really strong with, in my opinion, no significant weaknesses.
Sadly the basic ass thief is the most OP class. Perma dodge and massive damage makes everything trivial. Yes mystic has the shield but their damage is mid compared to thief. Formless feint and Blades of the pyre is nuts and easy/masterful kill is OP.
The paladin bubble is too overpowered. Theere's no need for a healer or tactics, just keep those blades spinning and refresh the shield bubble as needed, and chug a few stamina pebbles when fighting a drake = Easy mode. I'll personally just max the vocation and then I'll never touch it again.
I totally can't get how they could have designed this game (on purpose) NOT giving any vocation the possibility to dodge or parry... I believe it is crazy and makes most of the vocations useless because fighting without being able to parry or dodge is almost impossible, enemies attack you and you have no evade nor counterattack... if you are not using the warrior or the thief vocations, you can feel that your character is missing something in combat.
Warrior has anti knock and active parry. Mystic Spearhand has shield and dodge jump. So every melee has some form of parry/dodge. It's just that fighter/thief gets theirs in core.

Hey there, you may have solved this already but if not - You must acquire a CORE SKILL called "Winding Cut." Then, you can start spinning the spear by pressing your light attack button fast.

Mostly true though I tried using martyr bolt on a golem once. It destroyed all but that one core that is usually covered instantly

I only did the monster culling and it appeared.
I like my quest log minimal, so i take it bit by bit.
It appears at random didn’t go Brant and it appeared for me in multiple pay throughs.
I also got a master skill after killing the dragon in melve with thr ballista

@@resortX it’s really big. You only have control of the ballista itself which fires and moves up and down. To turn left and right you need another person to grab it and push it. If you’re asking why the developers made it that way idk it’s their game lol.
I just hit the dragon a bit to get it's hp down a bar or so before going for the ballista. Managed to kill it with two shots after that. It was pretty close because the second shot missed at first and the dragon started to take off. It crashed down on a house but I still managed to climb on top of it to loot it.

I've been using the Wild Furie + Stamina regen + Stun combo. Start with a stun, mash Wild Furie while charging another stun, let the stun go at the end of the Wild Furie combo, sap stamina while the boss is stunned and continue charging another stun, let that stun go and start another Wild Furie combo then rinse and repeat until the health bar is gone.
I always found the laser beam (the one you didnt like) to be pretty strong. I would use it point blank on a downed monsters head and it would delete HP bars. Yeah, its aim is GARBAGE and the wobble should probably be toned down but if you full stamina bar burn it and you make sure you're so close you cant miss, its stonger than the master skill IMO. Probably gonna put it back on as my "Big damage" move for boss monsters
You can improve aim a lot by enabling motion control in settings. Btw this feature makes archer gameplay really fun too

Hopefully this helps people. There's loads of ways to get the ability from him. If anyone messes anything up with him then you can max his affinity with gifts. If he doesn't give it to you when it's maxed then you will have to wait till he randomly approaches you( you'll see a little gold marker on your mini map just pop up. ALWAYS check out the random gold markers that pop up on your mini map!!!) He'll want you to escort him somewhere. He led me to a drake. And yes this all took place after I had already killed the infected one he wanted me to in the first place. I got the weapon from the drake but the dude just just disappeared without giving me the skill. Go back to his house after a day has past and he will give you the skill after the escort.
Maxing his affinity with gifts makes him give us the maister skill if I understand correctly?
Its vocation ability also has 3 levels of charge FYI. Took me 20 hrs before I realised.

Yes i think the first level is tapping it. The second level is holding for 5 seconds. 3rd level is hold for 8-10 seconds. Each level makes the stun/slow stronger

Been playing Warfarer Mystic Spear and magarcher and it's amazing locking on homing missiles, then warping at them with a spear
If you use the ballista to kill the dragon in melve. You get the master ability and an end game spear. Reload your save if it flys off, and aim for the head.
Can you kill it without the ballista?

if you manage to kill the drake attacking melve village you will get both a very strong weapon for mystic spearhand and Sigurd will be willing to teach you the mastery skill right after first talking to him to unlock the vocation. The easiest way to accomplish this is to use the ballista on the tower up the hill
Also the telekinesis move i just was throwing enemys off cliffs and stuff to fun
This was an expansion class in Dragons Dogma Online. Very fun! Wish they allowed us to have more than 4 skills active like in the online version of this game.
on the other hand the new core skills are better than a lot of weapon skills in the first game, and most of the time you would just spam one skill over and over (helmsplitter, holy focused bolt etc. etc.)
Question about the Spear Hand: what body type is the best this vocation? Buff so you can have good armor? Light for the extra speed? A healthy balance?
My character is skinny and light. I main mystic spear hand. If your hand the mirror shield you should be okay if your smart with it. But when I get hit without the shield I notice myself getting staggered a lot and it takes me a long time to recover.

ddont sleep on the telekinetic skill, that shit slaps hard. Especially thee upgraded version. Big group of enemies, kill one or two, then just start throwing bodies at the remaining until theyree dead and add them to thee body pile youre throwing around. Insanely strong
Also insanely useful against staggered enemies near cliffs. I've yeeted about 3 dozen Hobgoblins up until now.

I like it but i dont see an upside as opposed to stunning a large group with the bolt aoe then just wade in with the spinning spear move and melt their HP, you can skip the bolt part and just shield up and do the same thing. Especially with a mage that casts an affinity spell. I have my main pawn a mage with fire affinity and always hire an archer with tarring arrows............groups of enemies quite literally melt. Level 42 and its been unstoppable.............

A little build idea for you that I am running currently. Use Warfarer with Mystic Spearhands shield, Sorcerers Augral Flare and Ricochet Hunter(Can change with Martyrs if you want).
You melt healthbars and are overall well suited for every single scenario
warfarer is my fav class cause i like the hybrid nature, magic archer + spearhand + either mage staff or sorc staff, for stamina or healing. But i love spearhand so much xD its just super satisfying from the movments to the skills . There is a mod in nexus that someone made for warfarer that lets you make skill sets that switch based off your weapons with rearment. Very fun to play around with. But mods are not for everyone.
I still havent unlocked the Spearhand, but i'm pretty sure the Magike Speregonne scales on Magic Attack, so maybe try that, since it seems you are focusing mostly on physical attack

Tried the spearhand and I thought it sucked. The mobility is nice but it seems really bad at dealing damage to weak points because they are usually just out of his reach and he doesn't have any good ways of dealing damage while grappling like thief and fighter do, and it doesn't really have enough stagger to warrant that weakness, unlike warrior. It also has no way of mitigating or avoiding attacks unlike every other melee class so you end up getting hit a lot unless you're doing the finger acrobatics to constantly be charging up and throwing out the stun/slow, and then you're only getting hit sometimes. To me it felt like the worst melee vocation by far.
Have to agree. It’s great for accidentally Yeeting yourself off cliffs. The vertical attack does no damage on the way up, so triggering it from right under his heart causes you to fly through it and stab his back on the way down
I found the dude in Melve during a dragon attack I believe and I spoke with him and bam, I got the job and the only main ques I remember completing was rescuing the magistrate, I haven done the rest of the missions, so far I been doing sub-missions
Triggering winding cut is a real pain in the ass when you play with a controller. It's quite easy to press a button fast enough when using your fore finger or middle finger. But if you have to use your thumb to press it fast enough, it's really hard to do. Wish they would make it a bit easier to trigger.
I killed the dragon in Melve using the ballista, just as it was about to fly off, didn't get the duospear (I assume it is not a 100% drop) or the maister skill... unless I overlooked it and threw it into storage... I did unlock the vocation though.

They should have regular stops for the oxcarts along the road, and you should he able to wait and choose which city you want to go too.
I'm playing wayfarer as a heavy armor sorcerer spearhead hybrid, which is fun but if you play warfarer you passively level every profession which is cool.
Offering is situational, but those situations just keep coming up.
You can throw enemies off cliffs, throw multiple bombs and I've even one shot a cyclops that was around a dozen bombs.
I didnt think I would like it, then I played for literally 15 seconds and realized it was fantastic
You do not need to progess in anything other than fight the baby dragon, then run to dragon tower and you can get the ultimate.
The thief meister ability is far an away the best skill imo. It is so broken I don't even use it. It makes you completely invulnerable by instantly automatically dodging every attack for as long as you have stamina and the cost is tiny. I can use it for almost a minute constantly.
The Thief meister ability only dodges physical attacks, which is still incredible, but the Mystic Spearhand ability negates ALL damage and prevents stagger effects while providing the same exact shield to your pawns.
I would argue it's objectively a better skill.
@@keystonelyte Exactly. 1 person dodge vs entire party being completely invulnerable. It isn't even an argument. I doubt thief will get nerfed but shield is just asking for it.
I've been knocked off balance by drakes landing while shielded, so either that's bugged or it doesn't prevent all forms of stagger. It is insanely busted overall tho @vincentcavanagh1784

@@goosepapoose8666 High Palladium also does the same exact thing afaik. Negates attacks for everyone with the buff that is an aoe.
I thought that what be the class i wanted to play before i got the game, but when i played it, i just wanted to go back to being thief class. The thief hookshot ability is just too good and fun

@@leemcgee5164 Kind of, it hookshots enemies to drag them towards you, and stagger them, or make them fall over. On big enemies it can drag them down if they are staggering. You can't fly up ledges or hookshot to enemies heads or anything

Mirror shield doesn’t expire after 3 hits. Non upgraded it lasts for 5 seconds fully upgraded it lasts for 8 seconds doesn’t matter how many times you’re hit within those time frames
The levitating skill is my favorite and fun crowd control. Stagger a guy, throw him to stagger another guy, and before u know it ur throwing 6 guys at the last one
This was the first class I played, early on it def. was not as strong as Thief, only because of thief getting Headsplitter which will one shot bosses health bars, and later combined with Flare from Sorc will one shot 4-5 health bars lol.. But Yea I love this class, its just so flashy and fun to play.
Is anyone else experiencing the bug where unto heaven is not hitting large boss monsters? Like they will he stunned, my weapon clearly hits them, but nothing. Is this just me?
you cannot use unto skie/heven on enemies larger than yourself if i’m not mistaken. it may say something about it in the description of the move i can’t remember, lmk if you find anything out!

I tried getting into spearhand and i just couldnt get into it, i never figured out how to effectively play the vocation so I ended up going back to thief but thanks to this vid ima try it out again, not about to let a skill issue get in the way of enjoying the class that made people buy the game💀
If you kill the pimple dragon with the ballista in melve you will get a s tier weapon from the dragon and the skill wild furie from the spearhand master instead of waiting till almost the end of the game to get it. Good luck

My experience is that it looks good but the damage is not good. Coming from a sorcerer it feels like taking mobs down takes forever.

Everyone over hyping this vocation so much. Endgame, this class is weak as hell. It's fun for sure, but cant drop bosses at all late in game. Especially if you try to run solo.

@sitalius7591 no I main wayfarer. I was magic archer main, now I main wayfarer to use flare from sorc and magic archer to drop a boss before he can even attack now. Strongest combo in the game par none. Can also use a healing spell if you want or anything you desire.

The shield is the most op skill ive seen in a game, a shield that you can use most of the time and makes you immortal, for like 6 seconds, when it ends you can use it agains, and it gets applied in all your allies within range...
and you can stun lock enemies with the bolt too😭😭
Yeah there is literally zero downside to that ability. By the time the shield disappears you already got all your stamina back. It's nuts
Used it to help my pawns slay a dragon on their own, didn't do damage, just stunning and shielding my pawns. They got the job done😎

Two abilities are better at tanking than the whole trickster class.... And you can damage with the drain too...
People saying it's damage is weaker than thief don't understand what unhindered pawns can do.
I've thought about warfarering with trickster for the AOE damage buff, then just focus completely on shielding, draining, and aoe buffing.
I the quickness of this class. Once you get the ultimate it’s over. One of my favourite things to do is to throw people and goblins of cliffs.
The "best overall way to avoid damage" is to just keep your shield up. The ground stab isn't worth it since it means you have to give up one out of the shield (no), Thief (no) or Ultimate (no).
For me, I gave up the lunge stab, since for moving around the enemies I just use the quick fot (the teleport right after the bolt), in this case the lunge stab becomes redundant. While the ground stab is really strong for "parrying" incoming attacks/mounting.

So i got the Wild Furie skill after I killed the dragon in Melve, i just though the game wanted you to kill the dragon with the ballista... game gives a scene and town comments positively, so i assume the devs wanted this as an option. Sigurd gave me the vocation and Wild Furie right after i talked to him in Melve after the fight. Also dragon dropped an OP weapon for the Mystic Spearhand, especially for early to late game.
Yeah same. Got it pretty early and it kills most mobs in one or 2 hits.
It's ok. You can't block or dodge. You can later equip a forcefield for you and your pawns. You have to play smart with this vocation
He gave me wild furies right then after we beat the dragon the second time. I didn’t have to wait at all. Just had to initiate conversation with him twice right there

I think if you really tried, you could have done it without mystic. I did, as it mostly by making my main pawn a completely defensive healing mage with an enchant. After playing warrior so long, mystic spear feels too easy- the only way you die is by wasting stamina and not keeping your shield up.
Thief is my favorite. Mystic spearhand is okay but, thief... Man that's something
This is the class I've been playing and it's so much fun.
Playing mystic spearhand but as warferer. Why? Because I still get to use 4 abilities from spearhand, can use any armor, and level all vocations at the same time. Its basically spearhand on steroids 😁
Only downside to doing that is you can't use vocation maister skills as warfarer.

Yes that is fair. But since I am not there yet in the story, its not a big loss for me. I kind of jumped zones and did the volcano area. When I get that ability I might have to rethink my life choices 😅

Warfarer is the goat bc you can mix magic archer, spearhand, and mage or sorc. I enjoyed archer, magic archer is much better, but being able to blend 3 together is the best, imo.
@OGYetti you have to play the classes first, but yeah MA + Sorc is a straight busted combo, mostly because of Prescient Flare

Winding Cut is the biggest drawback to this Vocation for me. It's too easy to activate it. I have to pace my clicks super slow otherwise I use it accidentally and end up in an animation I can't cancel when I want to move out of the way or activate the bubble shield. It's annoying af
cant get the master skill, quest is broken for me. In the fight with the dragon on the roof of the tower (later in rhe game) npc died. I slayed the dragon and i revived the npc, but he ignored me. Back in his house, he still ignoring me. This is bullshit

The reason why you didnt do damage to golems with the magic spear attack is because they are immune to magick damage. You need to attack the glowing weak points with physical damage
i hope they don’t commit diablo 4’s mistake here and nerf some of these skills like the invulnerability time or stamina consumption

It scales with magic. You can one hit goblins with it
The attack scales off Magic dmg. 2 ways to boost this are to level while playing Sorc and Mage (vocation influences stats), the other is your gear, and where you upgrade it .The Elvish smith gives you more Magic Defense and Attack bonuses. Other smiths have different stat priorities.
You want a broke class? Just go thief . Vanish skill and until you have stamina nothing can hurt you + helm splitter

It is great, have it maxed. But nothing compares to magick archer and it's ultimate ability. Basically 2 shots drakes
Magick archer is ridiculously op with martyr's bolt. Just to see how stupid it can get, I fully charged it in the final fight. The fight was over in a second. Showing that to a friend who was amazed by another vocation's "overpowered" ability was fun, but sadly robbed me of an interesting finale.
Even without that ability, MA is still really strong with, in my opinion, no significant weaknesses.
So funny how the community on Reddit hates this vocation immensely

Sadly the basic ass thief is the most OP class. Perma dodge and massive damage makes everything trivial. Yes mystic has the shield but their damage is mid compared to thief. Formless feint and Blades of the pyre is nuts and easy/masterful kill is OP.

The paladin bubble is too overpowered. Theere's no need for a healer or tactics, just keep those blades spinning and refresh the shield bubble as needed, and chug a few stamina pebbles when fighting a drake = Easy mode.
I'll personally just max the vocation and then I'll never touch it again.

I totally can't get how they could have designed this game (on purpose) NOT giving any vocation the possibility to dodge or parry... I believe it is crazy and makes most of the vocations useless because fighting without being able to parry or dodge is almost impossible, enemies attack you and you have no evade nor counterattack... if you are not using the warrior or the thief vocations, you can feel that your character is missing something in combat.
Warrior has anti knock and active parry.
Mystic Spearhand has shield and dodge jump.
So every melee has some form of parry/dodge. It's just that fighter/thief gets theirs in core.

Hey there, you may have solved this already but if not - You must acquire a CORE SKILL called "Winding Cut." Then, you can start spinning the spear by pressing your light attack button fast.
