In my opinion, on the subject of storing guitars, Im living and traveling in a caravan in Australia and I have two guitars with me. What I do is play them as much as possible, and when not being played they are in their cases and thrown in a corner or on the bed. They are well made guitars, not some delicate ceramic from ancient china. I think we listen, sometimes, to too much internet static. Guitars are not to be kept in some dark, humidified crypt. Only to be opened up, wondered over and reverently put away again. They are beautiful tools to make music with. Having said that, I do have some guitars I dont travel with. In short, if you take it with you, just relax and enjoy the guitar. Adjust the relief a bit if it moves about and just play it and keep in a good case when not in use.
Hiya! I have an akg sm 58 style mic here, but I record alot with an akg condenser mic, 450 I think it is. I don't worry too much about guitar storage, unless it's super cold in which case I get them in the case or keep them in a heated space. One guy in a guitar shop actually told me a guitar will age quicker in a boat and so the wood will mature fast..!
