When I got my Speedmaster yesterday it took me about a minute to take the watch out and cherish it. Didn‘t really care about the box it came in. Box is huge.. looks and feels worthy..

Great watch, no doubt! But nevertheless now I see that is supposed to be true that new Speedy is not flight qualified by NASA (at least for now), otherwise why OMEGA changed the text on the caseback, and one more proof - the official NASA strap is not included in the set anymore. I have the information that 3861 movement was tested by OMEGA with the same standards and steps like 321 and 861/1861 was, but only NASA can initiate the flight qualifying. Anyway congrats! That was fast with the new model!
I thought the only difference in text on caseback is that now it says in which year it was qualified by NASA? "Flight Qualified by NASA in 1965"...etc ?
Nice watch but with the price hike you' d expect to get the loupe, medallion, spring bar tool, or 2 additiinal Nato straps? Sorry but IMHO that's BS... The old one is an even better value now. Cheers and congrats on the new Speedy!
@@fire_watch7735 I'd just find to many imperfections with the watch using the loupe. That spring bar tool is guaranteed to scratch up your lugs, I only use the Bergeon 7825 Spring Bar Tweezers. They are superior. I also dislike nato's, the speedmasters already thick enough.
The travel box is probably more useful for most people than the previously included accessories, but I'm also a little disappointed by the cost cutting. It's ultimately all part of the unboxing experience, and the loupe and spring bar tools are genuinely useful things, especially if you get the sapphire sandwich (to look at the movement in action). I suppose most of us already have these tools already, but that's besides the point.

I have the Blue Speedmaster Professional Moonphase Co-Axial Chonometer Chrono - and want to add the newest Moonwatch w/Sapphire step-dial...or buy last year’s model....I’m afraid to call to find out how long down on that list I’d be - so may just buy last year’s...
After calling 4-5 boutiques and about 10 or so jewelry stores on Friday I located 5. 4 in one and 1 in another. When I went to the boutique there was 1 left and the 2nd was being seen by a client. Im lucky to be in New Jersey. Here there is a high concentration of Omega boutiques. No list. I walked in and walked out with it.

pretty much underwhelming new box!!! Velcro instead of the red anodized aluminum hooks. No tool, no lupe, no coin..... that was sth what made the moonwatch iconic too! :(

Great review! I love Omega watches and really like the extra details they put in their boxes. However, once you’ve made the purchase and have the watch out to wear. The box ends up being stored away. I like that it comes with a travel accessory. Love wearing my speedmaster 300 23330412101001. Enjoy 👍

Bracelet on the Omega 3861 looks really nice!! The pointed crown brand messed it up on the NEW Submariner with their 41mm and massive ugly bracelet.
