      Yep, it’s been a while since I did it, but I had a moment on the one side where I did question if it would come out! Glad you got there in the end

      Don’t forget passenger side is different depending on your country. Left hand drive vs right hand drive.

    Thanks for your video, i follow every steps but when installing the new control arm, the ball joint on the hub Washington miss alight with control arm. I stucked with that for few hours for trying to but it back. Everyone who fall into that trouble, no worries, just put everything back and leave the ball joint, it will auto alight with new control arm.

      What brand control arms you used?

    • @boomerangtex3
      @boomerangtex3  2 года назад

      For anyone else having this issue, sometimes you need to carefully raise the hub using a jack, but be careful not to get outward movement or cv can pop out and you’ll spend a while trying to get that back in!

      Are you asking how I determined that it needed to be replaced? If so, there was a clunking noise every now and then (particularly over speed humps). Also, local mechanic picked it up on an inspection.

    How are your eBay control arms going , now that it’s two years past by? Would you buy from eBay again? How long did it take to do the job. Tia

    • @boomerangtex3
      @boomerangtex3  Год назад +1

      Hi, took me about half a day. I recently sold that car and controls arms were still going strong. It all depends on the company selling on eBay. In my case it was a local manufacturer just using eBay as a shop front. I buy a lot on eBay you just need to do a bit of research on the brands.

    My 08 hybrid needs new vertical bushings. I'm gonna try to leave the bolt under the mount in place but loose, as well as removing the other bolts. Hoping the arm will pivot out enough to put a bushing tool on it. Sound possible? Can't afford the arms right now.

    • @boomerangtex3
      @boomerangtex3  3 года назад

      Just seen this comment. Not sure if you’ve tried it yet but I think you’ll need to take the arm out anyway. Once the arm is out you should be able to press the bushes and refit the arm.
