Just wanted to let you know that this is the best way I’ve found to do ball joints on RUclips. Everywhere else directs you to disassemble everything (axle nut etc) to gain access. This is simpler and anyone who has used tools enough knows what 90lbs of torque is and 94lbs on the lower bolts. Very simple and very great video.

Just wanted to say thanks for making this video. Did the job today. I had to grind off the castle nut though. What a pain in the ass!

I'm in the same boat with needing to cut the castle nuts off. Did you use a cutting wheel or what??

@@jake986yep that’s what I used. Looking back i wish I had something different instead because the 4” wheel I had was too wide to get good angles on. If you have a torch maybe get some good heat on it instead

For those wanting to torque it - 94 ft/lb for the three lower arm bolts and 90 ft/lb for the ball joint nut.

I did this to my canam spyder over the weekend. Kind of a pain in the butt but I probably saved $250 in labor

It would of been cool to see you use a electric type wrenches but it’s healthier to use your muscles Thanks.

If I want to replace the control arm and ball joint, would it be easier if I removed it as 1 pice altogether?

Oh yea... the only thing is you got to remove the motor mounts and jack up the engine to even get at the control arm front bolt. That’s why I just did the ball joints lol.

Lol. You got to jack up the motor to get to them. There is a guy who has a tutorial on them I watched somewhere on RUclips
