The Library is weirdly one of my favourite levels. I think I just always enjoyed the challenge of it, and in such an interesting and mysterious setting! It adds a certain amount of grind to the game which makes it more rewarding when you finally get through. Two Betrayals is super fun because of the banshees, and a little bit of backtracking just feels true to life. Also I love how it allows you to compare the same level with and without the Flood’s presence, which really makes the invasion feel real and deadly.
So is it fair to say that Halo Wars was........KINDA a revival of what the game was gonna be at first? reason I say this is because looking at the super early build of everything at the beginning, it looked like Halo was gonna be a strategy thinking type of game.
Joe has said in some interviews and the Halo Waypoint dev updates that Halo CE in general was the main inspiration for Infinite's map, and i dont doubt that they also took insporation from the early concepts of Halo CE
that's def a hot take. Halo 1 is good but halo 2 clears,especially since u can play as the arbiter and play both sides with bigger environments,levels etc
