World premiere performance of #BAN at Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston (MATCH).
Composed by Allison Loggins-Hull, current Composer Fellow for the Cleveland Orchestra, BAN is a commentary on the “reasoning” behind book censorship and control, with nods to notable books that have been banned historically. This work was commissioned by Apollo for our #silencedvoices season and scored for string quartet, flute, piccolo and digital stomp box.
