Hi from central PA! Another great and fun podcast. Working on a sock while watching….Katie, I feel your pain about losing the sweater. SUCH a drag. I lost a sock (my favorite) for a year, and it actually turned up!!!!! Fingers crossed that your sweater will return! Love your Musselburghs (I have made two) and the Instant Crush is killer!!!!
I wore my Katie's Shawl to Rhinebeck (NY Sheep and Wool Festival). I got so many compliments on it, and was asked for the name of the pattern. Great job on that, ladies!
I just finished a Mexican blanket. It works up so beautifully!! I do highly recommend going up a needle for the sections that involve the mosaic knitting though. I didn't on the first one and there is a lot of pulling, then I watched Tayler Earl (Wool Needles Hands) and she made that rec. On the 2nd section of mosaic I went up and that one came out perfectly.
WOOL, NEEDLES, HANDS! I love Taylor too! So happy you all are back regularly! We've missed you so much! Just got another bag from JoJo and LOOOOOVE it!!
Now I need to make a Musselburgh!! Also I was looking at hot water bottles when I made my cover and someone mentioned to make sure the quality of the bottle is good before you use it because it can be dangerous it opens or malfunctions
I went to my great nephew’s wedding and took two projects for hotel knitting. I packed my musselburgh hat project and colorwork cuff sock project. I managed to get hone with the hat but the socks are gone. I completed one sock and was doing the foot of no. 2. Both were in the bag. Gone, gone, gone.
Making a Musselburgh hat with Knit Picks Stroller Hand Painted Merino sock yarn . Looks almost identical to one Sarah is making . My second one. Funny I thought I was being clever by using it as it’s own ball bag
I’m not sure which podcast I got this from. Try 19 inches from the end of the increases to the start of the decreases. I get a rolled brim with the slouch. I was able to get it with one ball. With another dryer I had to use scrap yarn to finished the crown decrease. Those are inside so all good.
Taylor Earl - Wool Needles Hands……her videos are great! The perfect ball sack 😮😂🤭 Honestly, I don’t find any hand knit toque, no matter the weight, to be warm unless they’re lined or have a double folded brim deep enough to cover the ears.
@Chasity301 check out @sassystringsyarnstudio on insta! they are her mohairs but from last fall so not sure she has the same colors available. Basically a Dark Navy, Rosey color,Burgundy and cream!
You girls take me back to the great white north eh. I love listening to you and watching you. You are so fortunate to be sisters. I have two questions. Can the Musselburgh be done on a 16-inch needles when the stitches allow ? I hate dpns. Also I have heard that you should go up two needle sizes while doing the colourwork part of a project. Thanks for being you. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
@donnarossignol5695 lol! yes definitely 16 inch is possible! I start with using them too and just awkwardly manipulate the cord until there's enough stitches! And for the colorwork... Definitely be mindful of your colorwork Guage as yes, sometimes you will need to go up in needle size depending on the project!
@dianam4778 oh definitely not! would be fun but we had a family brick and mortar business for over 40 years and don't want to be tied down to one again. lol

Sarah, the color work mohair sweater is epic!
I remember those lacey zags. Lol
Thank you all for a good knitting time. Watching from Haugesund (Norway)

@saraw8503 oh nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Jamie, just remember if you want the hat 2” longer that you have to knit the tube 4” longer… because you fold it in half. 😉
@@KnitsNKnacksOriginals oh my gosh.... YES!🤣🤣🤦♀️🤦♀️ THANK YOU!
Hello Ladies, from Swansea, Illinois. ❤❤❤❤❤

Block the blanket squares on a template. Board with four dowels drilled in finished size.
Yes I have been around! ❤
Wonderful❤❤❤
I've the hat colour and pattern
