Can’t believe you mentioned Wool-Tyme! That’s my local yarn shop, and off there tomorrow morning for knitting “finishing” class tomorrow They have the best clearance section I’ve ever seen! 😊 Love the look of Clay Sweater! Can’t wait to see how it turns out. Thank for all the detail on Twisted Affair, am going to make a couple for Christmas gifts. As a crocheter Linda Skuja patterns are gorgeous and well written. Love her 😍 Taira (Ottawa, Canada)
Hope you are having a lovely day at Wool Tyme and enjoying your class. Thank you so much for letting me know you trust Linda Skuja’s designs. As someone who can crochet but doesnt know how to follow patterns, i definitely want to start with a trusted designer. :)
Thanks for a great episode, Tash. Sending healing wishes to your husband during his recovery. I look forward to seeing your crochet skills develop. The jumper pattern you chose looks excellent.Have a peaceful Sunday.xx
I'm working on my first Twisted Affair as I watch this evening. Yes. my row gauge is off, and I wish I'd thought to do the 8-row cable instead of 10. Thanks for that idea. This one is a gift; there will be more. I have made a sweater out of Luft and as are all the Woolfolk bases, it is excellent. I may order two skeins right now and let the next Twisted Affair jump ahead in the queue. Loving a quickly finished project. All the best to your husband! x x x
Thank you so much Marsha. I love hearing that you have had a good experience with Luft - and that you are knitting A Twisted Affair while watching. I would love to try the Luft. It is fun trying out new yarns. Even though the row gauge was different, I still think the 10 rows worked well and looked great on the hat so just doing 4x10 is still a good option. X
Beautiful test knit sweater and the colours are really lovely . Love all the patterns you want to knit but I'm hopeless at picking colours so look forward to seeing your sweater with the karisma yarn. Hope your husband recovers well. Will pray for a good recovery.🥰
Thanks for the inspiration… I plan to start a Joji hat. Thinking it might be a nice pattern for gift giving. I am really impressed with your sweater repair! I would have probably have worn it lopsided- ha!
Lovely podcast as usual. I remembered to pray for your husband and hope all went well. In our area, they will only do one knee at a time. So happy your husband was able to get them both done at the same time. I printed off the Twisted Knit hat pattern. I have 6 grandsons, so I am excited to make these for them as they all love outdoor snow sports. ❤
Thank you so much Maryann. All going well so far for my husband. I think your grandsons will love these hats and I think you will enjoy making them as well. x
Prayers for all good things to come from your husband's surgery. May he have an easy recovery, with the least amount of pain. Sending hugs from the farm.
Ooh some lovely things on your needles Tash. I’ve downloaded the joji locatelli patter because I’ve been looking for a hat to knit for my oldest grandsons girlfriend for Christmas. - looks ideal. Thanks for sharing your work with us. 🙋🏼🏴
Another lovely video. Love, love your test knit. The colours are gorgeous. All the best for hubby’s operation and hope all is well. Meant to mention your bag making video with daughter. She is cheeky and fun. Loved the design of the bags - quite tempted to indulge. Cheers.
Thank you so much Kristen. I am so looking forward to this time off. I love my job but it is nice to have a break from the commitment. 2 weeks to go. :)
Hi Tash, thanks again for another episode. The guage for the Heimathafen pullover is 24st x 35 rows. The details can be found on The Myak website. I purchased the yarn over the weekend from Handmakecreate. Cant wait for the pattern release 😊
Always amazed by your output. Although, that said, I have been pretty prolific this past 6 weeks. I finished off 3 long term WIPs (all jumpers) and knitted 3 new ones (Ranunculus, Shifty and Florence's Step-by-Step Sweater). I was sick for 10 days and all I could do was knit. Now I have to wait until next Winter to wear them. Thanks again Tash for such rich content. K
Thank you so much Kristelle. Well done on working down your WIPs. That is so satisfying and makes a new cast on feel well-deserved. Sorry to hear you were so sick but glad there was one bright spot during your illness. Hope you are feeling better now. :)
Love your Twigs & Willows cardi, had to pause and run to Ravelry. I fell in love with all of Alana Dakos's designs, my favourites list grew dramatically. My favourite 'squishy' wool is the Peppin range by Fiddlesticks, especially Peppin 4, which is good wool to use for kids, doesn't have the itch & scratch factor & I haven't had any experience of it pilling either.
Thank you so much. I have really enjoyed working with the Peppin as well. I felt it was really soft. Very happy to hear you havent experienced pilling. :)
Blessings for your hubby and please look after yourself as you care for him. Your test knit is lovely. Could you please recommend a Jennifer Steingast colour work pattern for a beginner in colour work? Something with short floats would be great. Many thanks for all the time you put into your podcast 👩🌾🐑🐮
Thank you so much. I would recommend Darkwater or Newleaf. They were great patterns and without long floats (or only in a couple of rows). Both great patterns that fit really well. I did cut out 6 rows of the yoke of Darkwater (first and last 3 as the yoke was going to be too long for me). :)
Healing thoughts to your husband, Tesh! I’m not a fan of kniiting flat but your vault sweater is very pretty! And, interesting way to correct the 6 rows! I’ve been doing a lot of fair isle knitting in the round lately. I’m wondering if you can explain/show how you handle connecting the end of round with the beginning of round. At the end of round, I pick up the stitch below, place it on the left needle and knit the picked up stitch with the first stitch. It works great in striping patterns but I’d like a cleaner connection of the colorwork when working fair isle. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you! ☀️
Thank you so much for the healing wishes. I have to say that i dont do anything different at the end/start of a fair isle round. I just accept there is a bit of a jog in the patterning there and havent worried too much about it - partly because it is in the middle of my back and partly because i am not sure i could do anything that would help that wouldnt cause a different problem such as puckering around the area. Sorry I am no help with that one.
Your Snowbloom is beautiful! I love the colours. I don’t know why I can’t get myself back into colourwork, after doing nothing else for years I guess I’ll have to wait until the urge returns. Best of luck to your husband. Mine had both knees done one at a time and is very happy to be pain free. Hope you have lots of ice ready.
Thank you so much Hilda. I am so happy to hear your husband is happy after having his knees done. I think that is a good plan to just knit what you feel like knitting and wait till the urge returns. Knitting often comes in seasons of things you want to do or make. X
Thanks for another great episode! A little help for the pronunciation of Isabell Kraemer's new pattern: if you separate the th and you read it like Heimat-hafen you'll be quite there 😉. Looking forward to see all the lovely knits un your next podcasts 🤗
@mostlyknitting, sure! Very happy to help 😀 I also like to pronounce things as good as possible. By the way, you pronounced it really perfectly in your new podcast 👌🙌
Oh the Joji beanie is lovely! Wishing you and your husband all the best for the surgery, saw your story on Instagram. Will miss your presence here if you do miss a week, but please take as much time as you need - family first!
I hope the surgery went well and your husband is feeling ok! I also immediately downloaded Joji's beanie pattern when it came out and will cast on this weekend. I thought this would go perfectly with my Dagmar jacket that will be finished in a week or so 🤞
Hope your hubby's operation goes well. You'll be missed if you don't get online next week, but family has to come first. I love that version of the Avena, and am now wondering if I can use Karisma to dupe Spincycle in some way, as it is way out of my budget. Thanks x
Just to let you know that Linda Skuja’s patterns are extremely well written and easily to follow. She often has supporting videos for newer stitches. I’m an adventurous beginner and have been able to do several of her patterns from her book. My only issue has been in meeting the gage. Good luck!
Thank you so much Elena. I think you might want to cast on an extra 8 sts and definitely use a true worsted weight yarn. Going up to a 4.5mm could also be helpful.
I love the top you are wearing but it looks good with the buttons open. I am not going to comment on all your knits as I am tired and it is the silly season. Continual dinners and people visiting. Tash stay sweet and take care ❤😊
Hi thank you for another interesting video. Praying for your husband's recovery. Just thought I would warn you to rather not give your terrarium much water because plants die of too much water. X
It is not the neatest but it is how i store my cables. I made it a while ago. I wish there was a ravelry for sewing as I cant remember if i used a pattern. I probably googled something and found a tutorial.... I'll show it off next podcast. :)

Wow! So impressive how you fixed your sweater. Never in a million years could I do that, And you have the photos!
Thank you so much Lisa. It definitely isnt as hard or scary as it looks. You could do it! :)

Downloading to watch while I travel for our Thanksgiving holiday. Pretty makes and WIPs I’m sure. I’m always impressed with your creations!!
Thank you so much! Safe travels and hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving. :)
Prayers for all good things to come from your husband's surgery. May he have an easy recovery, with the least amount of pain. Sending hugs from the farm.
Thank you so much x
The colours on your Snowbloom are really flattering on you!
I keep meaning to mention that Drops Air is a good sub for Woolfolk Luft. It is a bit more robust than the Katia Concept option.
Thank you so much Talitha. I will mention that yarn as an option on the next podcast. :)
Ooh some lovely things on your needles Tash. I’ve downloaded the joji locatelli patter because I’ve been looking for a hat to knit for my oldest grandsons girlfriend for Christmas. - looks ideal. Thanks for sharing your work with us. 🙋🏼🏴

Another great podcast. You have great ideas. It’s hard to pick a favorite.
Praying your husband has a speedy recovery.
See you next time.
Thank you so much Patsy. :)
I hope your husband heals well. And that you enjoy your time off at home.
Happy happy knitting!

Wishing your hubby a speedy recovery! Can you show us your needle storage rack on the wall? Looks intriguing. Love your podcast as always!
Thank you so much. Will do - i will show that next episode. :)

Thank you so much Kaz. :)
Snow bloom color work is really lovely on you. Thanks for your podcast.
Thank you so much Sue. :)

@mostlyknitting thanks, I'll check out your recommendations. I'm keen to give colour work a try. I've only done hats before.
You can totally do the crochet! 😊
Thank you so much for the encouragement. :)
I love your Snowbloom. It's funny, because I am currently knitting the Avena sweater !
Hope your husband recovers well.
Thank you so much Chantal. Hope you are enjoying the Avena. :)
When I'm trying out a new crochet stitch, I always make a dishcloth also. I wish your husband a quick recovery.
Thank you so much Toni. :)
Best wishes to your husband in his recovery!
