It might also cost more to have it tailored then to buy a piece of cloth from a brand that's tailored to one body type. Also why are most of u so rude in the replies?
I think the oldest money don't usually buy designer brands (they do but not all the time). They buy custom made clothes with great designers (well-known in the industry but probably not that known in public).

Chanel and Dior are no longer old money. Ralph Lauren still is, specially their pieces with logo-less or discreet logo designs. But most old money people would buy tailored, these clothes last for years looking absolutely pristine.

A size 4 is usually the largest size. They aren’t in the plus size market. Can you imagine what a $12,000 Chanel blazer would look like plus sized. Not good! Instead of expecting these designers to “add” plus sizes😅😅😅😅 perhaps someone should come up with a plus sized brand. And I’d never ask them to make it available in a small size! I buy designer but I don't buy anything with a label visible. I would never buy a quilted Chanel bag. I love Dior and buy most of my staple pieces (pants, skirts) in Dior. However Dolce and Gabbana and Givenchy always have something for that extra special pop. It's my one big extravagance with my earnings. I'll watch TV on a 2 inch screen if it means I can save for gorgeous designer wear. Fendi and Prada are always classics. Style and grace without flash and trash.
