I'm relatively new to guitar (picked it up early-Covid, been a little inconsistent with practice), and I *fucking* love getting to see stuff like this. It's so motivating getting to see musicians I love to listen to and having the guitar explained to me and realising how I could totally sit down and learn this in an afternoon. Thank you so much for showing us this Jesse 👍👍
Just picked up a guitar a week ago and only know 3 chords but all 3 are in there maybe in a few more weeks I can give it a try, looking forward to seeing you in Belfast soon!
You folks are just the best. Who fucking does this for their fans? The world may be burning but hell, as long as we've got artists and a community like this, it's not so bad.
Bought an Ukulele a few weeks ago mostly inspired to play DnD and J. Stewart and started learning to play. Now that I am feeling a bit confident I decided to search on youtube for some uke cover and for my surprize I find JESSE SENDEJAS HIMSELF teaching how to play one of my favourite songs. What a fucking legend!! How not to love this guy?
love the tutorial Jesse. Wasn't even trying to learn this song, I was trying to learn "Not at all". Then this video popped up. Now I learned damaged goods and the names of some chords I already knew how to play but didn't know their names. Was pretty helpful. And I learned a great song.
This is legitimately one of the best set ups and ways I’ve seen someone teach a song, this song means so much to a lot of people and I’m so excited to try to learn along this video. I can struggle when learning new things but this was laid out so well! Would love too see more songs!!💚🖤
literally been trying to learn this song for the last year - watching people do covers and trying to figure out what they’re doing and sound it out by myself(I’m not that good). So Thank you for this. Love this song
Thanks Jesse! My wife and I have been playing your tunes together (she’s on harmonica and clarinet rather than trumpet), so it’s nice to know that what we’ve been playing is true to how you intended it. Would love to have more of these tutorials, our friends really love when we bust out our (ropey) versions of your tunes on our camping trips. Lots of love from the UK x
I have been to to learn this along with shooting up breaking down , so this is perfect to get it straight from the source, hope to see you guys sometime again haven't seen you guys since Athens Georgia in like 2015 or so lol
Thank you so much for this, you are amazing! I never learned an instrument for 33 years, and I recently got a guitar to fix that. This will probably end up being the first song I learn.
Man this songs hits home for me definitely gotta learn it. Big motivational boost for a today thanks Jesse. Also I absolutely love the Solaire of Astora on your guitar ❤️
Thank you so much for showing us how it's played! It's a really great song! I'm gonna be jamming on this for a while. I just need someone to play the harmonica!
Jesse can you do one of the faster songs as a tutorial or just your strumming patterns in general! It would be much helpful and appreciated! If you ever get a chance! Much love! Hope you’re well!
This is amazing! Thank you so much for doing this, love this song, but it's a bit difficult to isolate the rhythm because if the other instruments, so I could never figure it out until now, much appreciated.
Hey there, long time fan of your music. I'm just learning the guitar, but I mostly play harmonica and just want to check, that's an A harp that's used in this song, correct?
OMG YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! Now I can play this when I need this in my life! Thank you so much! 💜 Next could we please get like Misanthropic Drunken Loner, and also Goodbye Lulu Pt. 2 tutorials maybe? 😊 Keep up the awesome work DND! 💯
This is super fuckin rad!! Would love to see more of these tutorials, especially with ya playin through the whole thing with the chord changes on screen! Hope you and yours are doin well!
Think the best way to go's to just follow the old adage practice makes perfect. Maybe find a strumming pattern ya like, start slow, and slowly build faster and faster? My main fast strumming pattern is down down downupdown. Could try that one. Pretty easy to speed up once your comfortable with it. =]
Huh, I always played the Fm as an F7! Also kinda works and I may just stick with it out of habit, but this explains why the vibe always felt a bit off in those parts lol
