Always one of my favourite episodes, that inspired me to get into 'serious' pike fishing for a number of years. A few years ago I fished the exact same spot for a 'Fishing In Wales' video and was lucky enough to catch a 23lb pike for the camera. It's great to see these episodes being shared on RUclips for another generation of anglers to enjoy. Tightlines, Ceri
I used to watch the original Total Fishing before school. What a time, I never believed anyone when they said I’d miss it. Matt brought out the best fishing productions at a time when it needed it. The dynamic between him & Mick was/is brilliant.
Matt, followed you for years with the carping......your carp rods TFG force 8's what a cracking investment had some great fish on them....great bit of equipment... About time we had a new range of carp rods from you, my friend ....looking forward to the new series as well from yourself and mick...👍
Looking forward to the series. Mick has been really helpful to me with a few of my videos. He took the time to watch them and gave me some tips that I now use. Anglers like you Matt, Mick, Des Taylor are inspiration to a lot of us. Thank you. Tight lines Luke
Hey Matt / Mick, I still have two Shimano Aero feeder rods from the early nineties , great rods and I still use them for silvers and Carp up to 10lbs and more !! ,they pair with my Super perfection original Shimano reels 😁. Its great to see you here on YT 👏
What a great watch! This episode has to be one of my favourite. Pike is my passion, everything about pike I find fascinating. I loved that you both caught some beautiful fish but also showed it’s not always easy. Was it 20 or 21 years ago now?. I fished at Staclkands last week and sadly blanked but it was so peaceful 👌
You might like to acquire Jens Bursells "Pike Fever" book, he is very analytical in his approach and he covers every aspect of pike fishing, the full colour pics will have you drooling !!.. his sliding deadbait rigs are thought-provoking.. its my "bible" for all things piking !! ☺️ Love watchin the lads fishin... 🤗 😎👍☘️🍻
@@baitrunner5193 Me too !!.... my biggest regret in life is starting late in fishing (30ish) , PARTICULARLY pike fishing, at 67 y.o. this year, my time is running out for a thirty... PB so far is 28 for the last 10 years... 😤 😎👍☘️🍻
@peterfitzpatrick7032 you never know 🤞 I'm fishing since i was knee height mainly for salmon and sea trout and one thing I have learned is that it often happens when you least expect it and any time you have a chance go fishing
@@baitrunner5193 agreed, you gotta be "in-it to win-it !!" .. I'm out fishin 2 or 3 days every week now I'm retired ! (conditions permitting of course) I'll be giving it my best until my last !!... 😎👍☘️🍻

Fabulous pike
Beautiful location guys
They day orf’ ‘ang on! 👍🏻
Ive fished that stretch for years with lures and its hard going . The last few times ive been i seem to just catch just chub and a few jacks 😢
Looks more like a salmon river
it is...
they said so in the vid... 🙄😂
That river probably full of pollution now.as are most British rivers...wouldn't touch it.
