    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  5 лет назад

      It may be your tension. If you pull too tightly you'll get that curling effect. Hang them up to let them relax a bit. It may help them straighten out.

    This is the best how-to that I could find on this style! Thank you! I tried one earring with what I had on hand since your kits are sold out. But, I can’t get the jump ring through the top bead to attach the earring wire! Help! Any suggestions?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 года назад +1

      Sometimes a glass seed bead will have a little little excess glass inside. Unfortunately glass beads are much harder to fix than wood or metal ones in that regard. You could try working a needle through the hole a few more times to see if that helps. Most likely though you'll need to find a smaller gauge of jump ring for that bead. We've got a good selection of 22 gauge jump rings available for fine work, and one or two options in smaller sizes if you need to go even lower beadaholique.com/collections/jump-rings-split-rings?_=pf&pf_t_gauge=Gauge%3A22%20Gauge&pf_t_gauge=Gauge%3A23%20Gauge&pf_t_gauge=Gauge%3A24%20Gauge

      Do you know the manufacturer of the tool? I'd suggest reaching out to their customer service department directly and seeing what they can tell you. Eurotool and Beadalon make two of the most popular models. Neither of them sell replacement collets as a separate retail item from what I can see, but they may be able to help in some other way, I'm sure it's a question they get now and then.

      It is Nymo thread and they look like 6mm bugles, based on comparing them to the 11/0 seed beads, but if you look up the earring kits on Beadaholique it will probably tell you what the contents of the kit are and then you will know.

      We aren't making these kits anymore unfortunately, one of the components was tough to keep in stock. Here's a project of ours with a similar style, complete with a list of the beads and components we used: beadaholique.com/products/fringe-festival-earrings
