    I just want to say THANK YOU for sharing your culture and for being such a good teacher. I live in Alaska and have fallen in love with the indigenous culture and the beautiful bead work. I am so proud to have made my very first pair of earrings, I love them so much.

      Hi :) I don't have a tutorial for that on my channel but I'll be releasing a brand new in-depth video course about how to make beaded fringe earrings and I'll have a lesson covering this topic. Love your videos. They have helped me finally take a chance on beading to see if I would like it. Thanks to your videos, I'm really liking it so far. Haven't tried a pattern yet, tho. 😬

    Thank you so much for the videos and the helpful hints that can effect the project as well! I was wondering if you have a go to shop for your supplies?

    • @thewholenessshop
      @thewholenessshop  2 года назад

      Hi there! I currently can’t recommend a specific shop as I’m still looking for the right one (and hubby has put a ban on buying beads for at least another month 😂). I will be able to give more specifics later in the year perhaps when I’ve shopped around some more. However, I always suggest purchasing from an indigenous owned small business. You can find many listed in beading groups on Facebook. Hope this helps a bit! :)

    Thank you for these tutorials. What type of wax do you recommend? I’ve googled and beeswax seems to be the common wax used for beading. Thanks in advance. 🌱

    • @thewholenessshop
      @thewholenessshop  2 года назад +2

      Hi there! I’m currently testing different plant-based and synthetic waxes for an animal free option, but as of now I use beeswax. I recommend buying a brick of unfiltered beeswax (can get from a local candle or bee supply store). It will last ages! :)

    Why do you double the thread?

    • @thewholenessshop
      @thewholenessshop  2 года назад +2

      It’s so that the length is more manageable, otherwise you have to pull through 6 feet of thread instead of 3. But you are only left with the single thread pulled through and you adjust your excess length as you go along. Hope this gives some clarity :)

    I really want to learn to do bead weaving - earrings in particular. I Have a market stall and I want to make my own colour variations and patterns but for starters I will have to do something simple like your patterns - are you ok with me selling what I make using your patterns?
