I miss Joan Rivers. She taught us that if you can laugh at the bad things that happen in life, the bad things will never win. Rest peacefully, reunited with the souls that you love.
I'm grateful for having the pleasure of meeting Joan years ago, at Spago in West Hollywood, after my pizza dinner! She was so nice and gracious in person, she really looked at me in the eyes, as I spoke to her, and I'll never forget it. 🤗 I still miss her sense of humor and style! 😢
I remember watching Joan on QVC and every time she spoke with a caller she would have them leave their information so she could send them a companion piece of jewelry to the piece they had just ordered. She was so gracious for being such a "tough old broad". I truly admired her. RIP Joan 💖
That apartment of hers is just breathtakingly gorgeous! All that detail and all the thought she put behind everything shows us how truly talented this woman was when it came to beauty and design. I still miss her everyday. I grew up watching her and, although I'm 19, I still admire her to this day and look at her as an example for what I strive to become in this life of mine. Joan, you are so, so missed!
Melissa , sorry for your loss . Your mother was dearly loved by so many . She will surely be missed as well as remembered . God bless you for carrying out your mother's wishes , I know she's smiling down on you and very proud . May God continue to watch over you as I know he's allowing your mother to do . P.S. I see your mother in you .
Ahhh when Joan left us, I felt a part of me went missing. She was a paradigm of woman idol: classy, attractive, stylish, FUNNY and REAL! She's definitely one of a kind.
@@sharongill9837 because everyone should live their own lives and own what they want. It's not fair to make your kids feel guilty over not keeping all your stuff. My grandmother died 14 years ago. My cousin kept her old car that he has just parked in his driveway since then. It's all rusted now and doesn't work. What good does that make?
Yes, particularly if one needs the money. Please. In a strong field, self deception is one of the ugliest human traits. I lost my wife about a year ago and I just had her extravagant jewelry collection appraised. If money were no object, I would keep everything. Of course it "should be enjoyed." I'm a masculine man and keeping it, for me, would be like vicariously visiting my wonderful wife in some small way every time I opened the jewelry boxes. I will keep some, including a couple of the most valuable pieces. However, being in my fifties and not being "set for life," I simply can't justify the luxury of keeping everything. What a better life it would be if we were all capable of just being honest.
This was tastefully done. There's a great line from a song written by Louis Marshall Jones - "For when you leave this earth for a better home someday, The only think you'll take is what you gave away." And Joan gave a LOT. She was an amazingly generous person. (Jones was better known as 'Grandpa Jones'.)
It's amazing how much she looks like her mother. And I had collected all the Joan Rivers costume jewelry I still have lots and lots of it and I loved it all
I think I read that Joan told Melissa to keep what she wanted and then sell the rest, which is what she is doing. I miss Joan. I miss Fashion Police with Joan. She was so sharp. She death was avoidable. Okay she was in her 80’s but she was sharp, still working hard, independent and feisty. She had fabulous taste. I saw a photo of her Thanksgiving table. Melissa was right. I am sure Joan's daughter, Melissa, is keeping something as a memory of her mother. Joan Rivers had exquisite taste, as evidenced by her collection. I miss JR dearly, and always will. She was the best treasure amongst her collection. ❤️
Really? I always found Melissa acted like a spoiled brat and was rude to her Mom and envious of her. (Check out the Joan documentary film, "A Piece of Work", which is brilliant.) Joan oozed talent and Melissa has none. Any job Melissa ever had, Joan got her.
she really had a wonderful eye and excellent taste. it is my understanding that she had her own ideas re: decorating, and that much of the decorating in her homes was those things which she owned and picked out from her extensive travel.

We must always question any procedure that a doctor recommends. Always know what the risk is. Always know everything about anybody that touches you in a medical office: where they went to school, have there ever been any complaints, filed against them, etc. etc. people people do your research.
