  • It’s one of the biggest challenges facing buyers of people movers: families with the most mouths to feed can least afford them.
    Which is why value is as much a part of the equation as safety when it comes to these vehicles.

    Remember the good old days when mum, dad and the 4 kids easily fit in the HQ Holden,?

      Biggest scam automotive industry and the government pulled on the people is convince them into bigger , heavier and less efficient cars every year for safety reasons 😅.

    Missing the point, families want more than just carry the kids to school and back. VW is the only one that you can also used for everything from school run to camping and there's also a four wheel drive option.

    my sister has a Kia Carnival V6 and it kept up with our SV6 Holden on a long trip going up steep hills of New Zealand we'd pass something and she'd be right behind us.

    This was just a promotion for KIA, probably paid for. Build quality from the Koreans does not meet that of the Germans which seemed to be a point they avoided in this promotion. Obviously very biased reporting.

    In the USA, the V-Class was ruined, all luxury stripped down for commercial-grade transportation. It’s called the Metris, and it’s the worst “minivan” on sale there. Very little people have bought it but Mercedes refuses to discontinue it in the USA. If only the V-Class was sold in the USA, it would sell a LOT more than the Metris.

    • @Luca-hg7yp

      That is so frustrating... The Metris is a really bad car.😕

      Exactly. I need a comparison between Carnival Platinum and Odyssey VTi-L. Mercedes and VW here are way too expensive.

    I want a people mover that tows well so that leaves out the Carnival unfortunately because it's front wheel drive. The Benz or multivan would be a better choice for towing.

    Sorry, but most things mentioned about the Kia I have to disagree with. It looks more like a mini bus in-comparison with the other two entries, the interior 'fit and finish' wouldn't be close to that of the germans, I also don't believe how it rides would come close with the other two either. European cars may be expensive and costly to maintain, but, the manufacturing behind them will leave kia and the like way behind.

      David Chandler - you don’t need to, you can tell by looking at them. Interior is full of cheap plastics and can report as I’ve sat in one once before. You pay for what you get.

      @@connor708 you are deluded. Kia is way ahead of the junk that mb and vw sell. Kia is absolutely tough, reliable and classy. I know how good they are because we own three! Never buying a european shitbox again!

    • @connor708
      @connor708 4 года назад +1

      Mia Tand I’ve owned 5 European cars and currently am driving a Mercedes with over 200,000km on it. Not a single issue with any of them. Family members of mine purchase a brand new Kia sportage and the transmission failed before first service, another bought a brand new i30 which needed a new clutch before 10,000km. Each to there own but form my experience they are garbage
