I'm traveling rainy Istanbul, and I love it. In this video, I visit a street shoe shine stand. I had the shoe shine man clean up my leather shoes from Mexico City. He polished my shoes and made them shine again in an Istanbul minute. Yeah. This is the perfect day in Istanbul for me.
The Turkish shoe shine scam on tourists is real. But not with this honest man.
I hope you get some peaceful relaxation and ASMR out of this classic leather shoe shine experience.

This guy has been there for years Jason. He did my shoes 9 years ago! I was on business, got an early ferry over, had breakfast in that cafe behind him. My contact was late, had an hour to kill, so he did my shoes!! Really good job too! Thanks. 😊

A classic shoe shine. That's how I discovered you ages ago. Was my first leap in to ASMR.
Looks like a 5 cent shoeshine. When the shoeshine guy asked where the customer was from and he said, "America," it instantly became a $1 shoeshine.
You know due to economics 1 usd is equal to 30 liras, so given the stuff he is using and his expenses its pretty normal for him to take 30 Lira (1 USD)

Iv always wanted to get shoe shinning ever since i saw it on t.v but I mostly wear running shoes. Would they do running shoes? I had a pair of regular shoes but they are a couple' of sizes too small now I guess I really should get new ones so i can go to nice places.
