They did adapt content from two chapters as well as a cover story so it’s not as simple as ‘well it was written like that’ to combine all that into an ep like this

Blackbeard captured Pudding because of her ability to read Poneglyphs and it was stated in Dressrosa Kuzan joined Blackbeard but we don't know why.
