    You covered everything except that it helps if the motor is slightly warm so the oil drains more completely. 🙂 I only watched this so I would know where the oil filter is and what size socket I needed to remove the plug. I super appreciate you getting right to the point and not talking a bunch about unnecessary things that just waste time.

      Gracias amigo🙂👍 yea that sounds about right, as long as ur not over 4k+ at those speeds its pretty normal they make those in 4 speed and 6 speeds, normally the 6 speed transmission will have slightly lower rpm since it has more gears to switch between

    In the owners manual a 2.4 L takes a little less than 5 quarts yet you appeared to use all of the oil from the 5 quart container and the dipstick indicated a perfect level. So is it best to just pour oil in the filter and empty out the container into the engine?

    • @backyardchevy328
      @backyardchevy328  5 лет назад +1

      Owners manuals specs put the mark in the middle of the two circles, i prefer to fill oil to the fill mark. Which is what i did but it still all depends on how much oil drained out so u still should check while adding

    Do you have to add oil into the oil filter? Also is it better to change when car engine is hot or cold?

    • @backyardchevy328
      @backyardchevy328  6 лет назад +2

      You dont have to, but the faster it can build oil pressure the safer it is for engine components, and adding oil to filter helps. Well u dont wanna do it hot cause oil can burn u, but it does help it flow better when warm if u got thicker oil in it, or if ur doing it when really cold out.
