I go and get sized for one next week. The Dr. said he would install the Brackets for me to just bring in the pairs of shoes/Boots I want them on. I think 5 clips you get, some models more or you can buy extra. Super excited!
This looks like it would really help with drop foot. Unfortunately because of having to use tools (saw and drill) to modify it to conform to one’s leg / foot, this might discourage some people from purchasing it. But I think the positives would outweigh the negatives.

It was design by a guy that has footdrop from a snowmobile accident. So your wrong about that. Also, everybody wanna forget about accident or handicap, but young people will want more that anyone else dont let their fd condition stops them from being active, run marathons, ironman, hike... Other afo inside shoes rubs and are uncomfortable. It's like wearing glasses for poor vision . Follow turbomed footdrop club on facebook for great testimonials and support. Regards.
@@razumikhinjones6283 Yep I fixed my own problem in my garage and we end up with this AFO. Old style AFO in the shoe are such a pain if you are active...I rubbed my heel almost to the bone... Great! If you want to make your mind just ask some question to users on the TurboMed Foot drop club. All poeples are very kind. If its simple foot drop its gonna be easy fix. But sometime poeples has foot drop with other combination of problem weakness to the leg. so thats the reason there are so many types of AFO. I have foot drop and would be willing to try this product. But all the sawing, drilling, cutting and grinding smooth the parts is way too much trouble. Plus, most people don't have all the tools required to properly assemble all the parts. Also, this AFO is not 'invisible' and tends to look a tad too bulky around the shoes.
Hi Tvee The AFO canbe molded very close to the shoe. And about assembly you dont have to do anything.. :-) This video is only for pratcicionnner. There is no such thing as an invisible AFO (closest thing would be the WalkAid). If you are concerned with this product being too visible and bulky you should hold off on an AFO until you are really ready for one.
Jamie Bell I’ve been using AFOs for 12 years. Some are bulkier than others. Also, if you taken the trouble to read my post carefully, you will see I used the word ‘invisible’ in inverted commas. Of course AFOs are not truly. invisible.
@@truthseeker000000 I still stand by what I said earlier. Compared to other styles of braces out there, if you think this is big, bulky, too noticable, invisible with inverted commas or not you should hold off on AFOs, or just stick with what you have been using for the past 12years.
I would like to know how to attach the TurboMed clips to a man's dress shoe when the laces don't go far enough down the top of the foot. Any information would be appreciated!
Creo a mi parecer q el producto tiene q demostrar mediante video a paciente en situ con y sin aparato seria mas fiable ;ortopedas no lo tienen en sus empresas ;saludo desde españa😢😢😢

You probably use a leather punch making new holes in the dress shoe for the lace clip to be able to be secured with the zip ties.
