Baby Lock Tips & Tricks - Presser Foot Pressure & Tension Adjustment

- You can adjust the presser foot pressure (the amount of pressure applied to the fabric with the presser foot) by adjusting the Presser Foot Pressure Adjustment Dial. The higher the number, the greater the pressure will be. Set the pressure at "2" for normal sewing.
The thread tension must be properly balanced. If adjustment is required, it can be made by changing the upper thread tension. Correct thread tension means the upper and bobbin threads are interlocked approximately in the middle of the fabric.

Terrific tutorial, great advice! Thanks Heather!
I get puckers when machine quilting on my new Jazz II. I baste as I always have done in the past, and I use a walking foot, so I don’t think these are causing the problem. Would adjusting tension help with this problem? Any suggestions? Thank you for your video!
It’d be nice to see the actual changing dials etc.
thanks for this feedback- we can keep it in mind for future videos.
@@babylocksewing Overedited. It's nice to see the flow, please, not just jump, jump..
I needed to see when the presser foot was raised at the end of the seam, how high.. but it was edited away every time.
I'm frustrated about my low rising presser feet on my Ovation, what a sad bummer they made there..??
Research. I'm contemplating all sort of creative ideas, like filing some steel above the presser foot, to get it to raise higher.. cutting off som of the plastic top back on the lifting handle, which crashes into the top ceiling?, what else can be done, please? There's hardly any room for the fabric.. 😭😔

I really appreciated the demo on tension but a few more closeups would have added to it. Thank you.

it would be helpful if you actually showed the dials, how you turned them, the change is stich looks??
So how do you adjust top thread tension? when I'm thread painting with my jazz2 or quilting, my bottom side has loops of the top thread and the bottom thread is too tight.

Not helpful if you don't show the stitches before and after tension adjust
