- Our #CactusCoastalProj is a 6,500-square-foot new build with a unique, coastal-inspired design, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Despite being in the heart of the desert, this home exudes a serene coastal feel, incorporating plenty of texture and soft tones while minimizing the use of black as an accent. Built in collaboration with E&S Builders, this home features six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and a detached casita, providing ample space to lounge and entertain. The great room features a minimalistic fireplace lined with Bianco Carrara marble, a subtle yet powerful focal point in the space! We went BIG in the kitchen with a 57" workstation sink and two 36" white weathered pendants that elegantly complement the double 108" islands. Rich in textural elements and layered details, our #CactusCoastalProj is a tranquil oasis with the ambiance of a beach destination in the heart of the desert!

I absolutely love your channel. I usually do not comment negatively, but I wanted to give some constructive criticism that I hope you will consider. No one else may agree, but it looks as though you’ve put a filter on your last few videos. For me it’s difficult to see the design because everything falls so flat. I can’t tell what color anything is. Overall the video may look more esthetic, but it takes away from your work. One thing I love about your design is how layered your color pairings are while still staying neutral. You pair black and whites, brown/ tans and grey, and mixed metals so well, but I’ve struggled to see them in your last few vids. It’s like watching a video in black and white ( or a grey washed sepia in this case ) I hope you consider showing the true color in future videos! Xoxo.

I noticed the same thing and I think it's probably attributed to the lack of lighting. The last video I thought maybe they weren't able to turn the electricity on in time to film but then they had the lights on in the master bath, just around the mirror so I knew it couldn't have been that. This video also had the lights off, then when it went into the kitchen the lights were on and it showed the color much better. I think the lack of lighting during filming is what made this house fall so flat for me, it just felt very void of design and color - much different from all the other projects that had rooms I still have screen shots on my phone because I loved the design so much that I have plans to copy them at some point in the future.
I agree, the pattern and color on the pillows in the living room are beautiful, but I thought they were all black, white or neutral until you zoomed in and picked one up.
