- While designing #MrAndMrsSmithProj, Lead Designer Kylie Ray Syburg and team stuck to three words as inspiration for the Design: California, Casual, and Americana. Built in partnership with E&S Builders, this 7,000+ sqft new build located in Phoenix, Arizona is our client’s private oasis! With both a main and guest house, this family of four has room to live, play and grow in this home for years to come. Our clients have a more traditional aesthetic, so to elevate our signature neutral color palette, we included wall treatments like board and batten, shiplap and playful wallpaper. We also used polished nickel accents, which you typically don't see a lot of in our projects, but intentionally played up the traditional Design direction. The unique features in this home include a "dirty kitchen," expansive kids wing and home theater, but the star of the show is most definitely the private outdoor shower and tub off of the primary suite!

the laundry room floor tile is badass. it matches the little towel pattern on the windowsill. gives it a subtle picnic vibe but still modern. the dream is to have those glass hanging chairs looks so fun to sit in.

The layering, materials and arrangement in this home is spectacular! The formal dining+its two jboxes, the kids space, the exterior space, the breakfast nook, wooow. It has a Cali asthetic but is so incredibly refined. Love the walk-through and info you give in your videos!!!

Just LOVE the children's study/craft area....the desk areas are maybe the nicest design I have ever seen....and of course, I still can't get over the glass washers....will be installing them soon...in the process....long....of adding to house and butler pantry (my pantry is primarily for Extra Dishes!!! Beautiful home and definitely personalized for the clients’ tastes so well. I think the happy accidents are some of my favourite details like the bedroom beams. I’m just not sold on the dirty kitchen trend that is so popular, do they actually get used? Pantry storage yes and extra fridge etc yes but does anyone actually ever cook in them? Idk. Guess I can’t envision how to use it. But gorgeously appointed with all that subway tile!

I miss the glass washer back in the 70s that allowed you to move the glass up and down on brush and it cleaned the glass throughly.

OMG I've been checking your RUclips constantly waiting for the next video!! The house looks so beautiful!!! Wish I saw this before I got my Linen curtains, should have got ones with panels!! It's so hard to keep them looking neat. I've tried to seam them with no luck! I love the olive tree you put in the bedroom. It's so hard to find the right looking faux trees. Love, love, love the kitchen, breakfast nook, entry, dining and master suite. It’s a minor thing, but I am not loving the subway tile with dark grout in the butler’s pantry; I get bathroom vibes. Everything else is wonderful. You asked at the end if we want to see client reveal. Honestly, no. It’s somewhat inconsequential.
