What is your favorite film in the trilogy?
What are your thoughts on the new graphics?
This is definitely my fav in the trilogy and I really like the graphics!
New look is like you’re going to announce the card for WCW Bash at the Beach
Just saw it last night… I am a huge Christie fan and loved that this wasn’t exactly like the story written… considering I know that story so well already. Loved the atmospheric cinematography too.
Me too! This Poirot is far from book accurate. But they are still fun! IMO the pbs show with David suchet as Poirot will always be the best
I think this is the best Peirot movie out of the 3!! Cinematography is so atmospheric, the location and sets are amazing, the cast is fun (Michelle Yeoh not doing martial arts or mean mom!!), and the writing is a great blend of supernatural and detective whodunnit. I enjoye the little Belfast reunion. Loved the movie!
I’m really into mysteries so I think I’ll dig this one
Also love the new graphics!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Love this version of poirot. So stylish.
Yes but David Suchet is still the best Poirot
I love Agatha Christie's Poirot books so seeing Branagh fail twice was disappointing. The source material is less well known for this one though, which gives me hope that it can surpass the book form. New graphics are nice as well, Austin!
It’s a pretty solid trilogy imo.
What is the trilogy? People keep mentioning the trilogy but idk what the other two are
@@kassygo1375murder on the orient express, death on the nile and this one
@@kassygo1375google is your friend
Murder on the orient express, Death on the Nile, and A haunting in Venice. The 3 Kenneth film adaptations of detective Poirot.
Glad you’re feeling healthier, and I’m loving the graphics! Also I seem to be the only one who loved the first two movies, and I love this new one as well, so I’m happy people are liking it as well. Suchet is still my favorite Poirot though❤
Glad you're better Austin, i really enjoyed this one!!
Great new format. Kudos on the graphics.
This movie is beautifully shot. Shooting on location is the way.
The new graphics are cool. Keep it up!
@AustinBurke I hope you feel better man! Take as much time as you need bro
Thank you 🙏🏻
@@AustinBurke No problem man! And guess what?? 119 subs!!
Love this review! Last night I watched this movie in the theatre. Even though I knew fairly early how it was going to unfold the atmosphere and cinematography of this film was compelling.
I’m thinking of checking this one out, I seen murder on the orient express when it came out, I enjoyed even though story wise it was mid. I skipped the second movie, I still may watch it at some point. But this one has me intrigued the most, even the posters caught my eye more than the other two did. Thanks for the review Austin!
Great review! 👍
Wow. Haven’t seen any of the “Inspector” films but this trailer really caught me off guard. Sounds like it is legitimately worth checking out in the theatre. I’m in.
Good Review Buddy!
The third movie is the best of the three for sure.
Another fantastic video! Thank you!!!
🙌🏻🙌🏻
That last H/Venice scene was gold.
I've enjoyed all 3 movies I definitely want more and the way they ended this movie with him helping that last guy out tells me he's going to come out of retirement and start taking case's again and I'm here for it ! I love how every installment has Different actors but I would love to see more of Tina Fey in the future 😁👍
The acting was amazing in this movie.
My brother and I saw this near the end of September and I agree with your opinion. A Haunting in Venice takes a different direction which made it more fresh when compared to Murder on the Orient Express 2017 (which got me into reading Agatha Christie, by the way) and Death on the Nile 2022 which I thought were very good though the problem with those two is that they were just another adaptation of the most well known books from Agatha Christie which was the reason why many people didn't like them as much. With A Haunting in Venice, it loosely adapts Hallowe'en Party, considered to be one of the lesser known Agatha Christie novels in the Hercule Poirot series while also paying certain homages to it which I think is the reason why I consider it the best of the bunch.
I love/like some of the older movies such as Endless Night, Ten Little Indians amd Murder on the Orient Express (1974) - I haven't seen the remake yet. Also, similar movies such as Knives Out 1&2.
Really liked Murder on the Orient Express and also thought Death on the Nile was good, excited to check it out when it comes out on Disney+ later this year
Death on the nile was so bad😂
Also, new graphics are great!
It's funny that we had opposite opinions regarding Tina Fey, In my review I mentioned she was my favorite actress from this movie. I also felt like she was at least making an effort so I guess I understand what you mean when you say that you feel like she was overdoing it.
This is my fave among the trilogy cos it is an original story as it was much adapted and almost totally different from the novel in the plot.
Get well soon 🤞❤️🙏
It was okay for me. I love horror and murder mystery so it was fun to watch. I really liked the ending
Loved it🎉
It is refreshing, and faster than the second one, but maybe I still prefer his arc in the second one... and his performance.
Thought death on z nile can't be topped but it did and A haunting in venice is 💯👌
Good film. May want to see it more over time
I saw the movie on Sunday! They love those loud noise jump scares! I loved the framing of the characters. It was interesting that they often framed Poirot where they were looking down at him from a sharp angle. Also the extra headroom on some characters. I’m not sure what it was meant to imply, but would love a discussion.
do you think that is at the level of Evil Dead Rise as a horror film?
Please review Birth/Rebirth movie
a million miles away review please
Liked more than #2, but not more than #1 😅
My friend fell asleep in act 2 😆 my other friend liked Tina Fey’s performance!
Got it. Showed score, didn't say it. Get well and take care of the baby
No score?
Definitely much better than the other two. The other two especially orient express I felt it was trying too hard, kinda cringey at times. This one is more natural.
I actually enjoyed it!!! :) it’s my favorite of the three and I don’t love the other two very much….
I liked Orient Express, didn't really like Nile, but I really enjoyed Venice. Branagh for me just can never replace David Suchet.
Also, a small annoyance in Venice was all these Americans/Englishmen and their kids in Venice in 1947.. and there is a Halloween celebration on the streets of Venice in 1947.. again, no.. Halloween is an American thing and would not be in Europe in 1947 lol
Disappointed with the first movie. Second could have been worse. Third definitely my favorite.
I think the graphics are good in terms of the colour but a bit too strong.
I felt very similar to you on this one (like shockingly similar, like the only difference is I would give the story an 8 instead of 7 similar). I expected to be disappointed. I thought the horror angle was a marketing gimmick (kind of like it was for M3gan, which was clearly filmed as more of a dark comedy), but no, they actually went for it. There were some scenes where you could feel the first time horror director (some “jump scares” were just bad) but mostly really solid.
I hope you review El Conde soon. Some of the best cinematography I’ve ever seen and I loved it up til the weird ending that I still don’t know how I feel about.
I completely disagree with the pacing. I felt that is was paced perfectly and wasn’t slow at all.
He might be back with another movie.
Review 'drissyam' 2013 Malayalam movie
It was better than the others, but I figured out who did it 20 min into the film. That makes the rest of the film mostly boring when that happens.
I am going to skip this one since I thought the other two were just fine. The new graphics are great!!
Thanks for the feedback!
That’s such a weird frame of mind…like if you enjoyed the previous two why *wouldn’t* you want to check this one out too? If not just out of curiosity 😶
@@gagalover2k10 honestly wanted to say “mid” but I don’t like using the term and there are other movies this month that I’d rather spend my money on like The Creator, Saw X, and Dumb Money
@@AlecsCinema_ that’s fair. Funnily enough I just used the term 'mid' to describe the story of the first movie 😂 but also The Creator is out this month!?
@@gagalover2k10 haha yeah I just try to avoid the term. Yes it does it comes out September 29th
I saw the movie tonight. My summary would be: Pretty...but Daft. It looked good; the atmosphere was suitable spooky, but the story and ending? Meh. Didn't like Jamie Dornan's character at all and wouldn't have missed him; Tina Fey was quite implausible in the role, and as for that annoying little boy...!
Jailer review?
I worked on this film, everyone involved seemed to be really proud of what they had made but I was a little underwhelmed personally!
Lmaooooo “yeah, it was ok i guess”
Fair! I thought you all did a nice job
@@AustinBurke Thanks man, I appreciate that :) Been following for a while so to have you say that about something I worked on is very nice to hear!
graphics are a bit too much imo. covers too much of the frame, i wanna see that beautiful background
I actually managed to squeeze the entire background into the shot! It’s just smaller lol
But I understand what ya mean
Kenneth Branagh is a grreat director.
I've never read Agatha Christie books, but this is *THE THIRD MOVIE IN A ROW WHERE THE MURDERER TURNED OUT TO BE MULTIPLE PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER.* How do people just accept this garbage every single time?
I liked the mystery element, but not the horror. Also, many of his movies are better than Belfast. That was a snoozer.
I did enjoy the first movie (as it was largely faithfully to the book - and the book is fantastic)
The second one is alright. It does some interesting things and makes some interesting changes
This one was fun. Partially because I think it is only very loosely based on a book (with a different name) and it’s not such a well known story
It's also very noisy and too reliant on jump scares. I didn't love it -- got impatient with the jump scares and a little bored toward the end. Loved the cast, did not love the story or the storytelling.
I saw this one a few days ago and for me it was just alright. There were aspects that felt rushed, there could've been more scary moments, and more lead up to the first death. By the end of it I was just like "meh... it was okay." Murder on The Orient Express was actually my most favorite out of the trilogy.
Women love the romantic scenes and period drama. Maybe not speaking about this film in a tshirt and crummy background.
Just a good HBO movie not much more
I do like the new graphics Austin. I really wanted to like this movie. Appreciated what Branagh is trying to do with changing the style and tone of this film. But something just didn’t click with me. Disappointing. My favorite in the trilogy is still “Murder on the Orient Express”. Such an amazing cast. I think that is what was missing from the last two films.
Personally, i don't like the graphics
Fair, thank you for the honesty
My favourite colour is blue so you know what I think about the new graphics
Geez this movie was boring
