On the final night of my California trip, @effspot was gracious enough to bring out his straight-piped Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera and took me for a ride. I was a bit sleepy before we met up for dinner, but as soon as we got in the car...any traces of tiredness disappeared. This. Car. Is. Insane. Arguably one of the loudest Gallardo's in the world, it is a flame-throwing monster. Like, there is no way to drive this car quietly. The Pre-LP Gallardo had a 5.0L V10 that has a quite distinctly different sound from the later 5.2L found in the LP560 and R8 onwards. Turn the volume up and just enjoy the utterly ridiculous noises. The video quality isn't fantastic, as this was super late at night and quite dark, but I assure you the sounds and reactions are worth watching!!

Crazy sound. The 5.0 was an even firing V10 and the 5.2 is an odd firing v10
This has got to be one the greatest sounding cars. Not just the volume but the engine note of the 5.0 is incredible. Unlike anything. This car is the dream.
is the best V10 sound ever... most of all NFS are used this sound note file in almost all the Games from PS2 to PS4. LFA what? CGT what? NAAAAH 5.0 BABY!!!!!!!!!

I know I'm late but Gordon's Gallardo is my favourite Gallardo ever. Perfect spec, perfect sound. My absolute dream car. Hope he gets it back on the road soon.
holy molly! I'm a big fan of high rev V10! Although I have a M6 V10 but the Gallardo sound is next level! high pitched exotic sound.

Love these so much - hope to get an 06+ car and do a proper x-pipe like this car. I had an 04 with a capristo and it was nice/loud but an x-pipe exhaust system of any kind gets that amazing high pitch scream the 5.0 is capable of. Then you have this one being straight thru and the megaphone effect for added insanity lol. Nice video man.

Straight piped exhausts are for simple people who simply want their car to be as loud as possible to get as much attention as possible. A more sophisticated person would modify their exhaust (and the Gallardo has one of the only types of engines that produces a harmonic 5th by being a 10 cyl) so that it sounded and resonated amazingly.
Basically, tuning an exhaust to route the shockwaves so that they meet your ears in the correct order to sound amazing. What this is is just noise. Some people like that, I get it, but not for me...
I’ve watched some of your content and you do fairly well and I have a Lamborghini myself V 10 but I really think and I realize you’re young but still it’s too loud it’s a lot of fun I get it there’s nothing more annoying when you’re sleeping and some idiot is racing down the road in the middle of the night maybe it’s an old thing but I think more it’s a respect thing But keep up your good work peace out

This was Lamborghinis V10 not Audi’s, hence the sound difference

can’t you’d have to change the firing order which won’t really be possible as all the stock parts are engineered for an odd firing engine

@@raymondkyruana118 ofc butttt there is one RUclipsr that is trying to change that and his channel is “driftworks” he has an e46 m3 with a BMW V10 (which is odd firing) and has spent two years making an exhaust manifold that could possibly give it that F1 note. Luckily for you he posted a video today
