I think that the 4 stroke has been the bread and butter for Yamaha, atleast in the mountain segment. For then to sell a blue arctic cat and call it an "anniversary" throwback sled is quite cool but also a litte bit dissapointing in my opinion. As long as I get my tuned 4-stroke I'll be fine tho ;)
There is if you can't get it efficiently to the ground.. This guy is wasting so much power with the spinning that he's only going a few miles per hour. Hook that think up for the terrain you expect to travel on and don't waste that horsepower..... spinning and wheelies are for kids.
If am not mistaken, the yamaha YXZ side my side har ecactly the same engine, just diffrent exaust and no turbo. I gues if you turbo it and putt on a similar can it would sound pretty similar.
I went to four stoke I had two 2 stroke sleds from new the four stroke sled will out last 3 two stoke sleds and the belt will last over 8000 miles for first belt change and I had the speedo up to 127 one time and up to 100 a lot and the fuel mileage was about 6 mpg better I do a lot of trails i will take off for a three day ride and come back with 600 miles
Why would somebody constantly paddle the throttle on a 4 stroke? You don’t really have to on etecs so much anymore. What am I missing when it come to what the gain is on a 4 stroke. They operate like a car more or less don’t they ?
I’m sure that sled is fun but it (and other modern turbo/paddle track sleds like it) have made trail riding much less fun…they dig 6 foot deep moguls everywhere they go…My beat up old body can’t take those hits all day long. I just like to tool around and see nature…and open the throttle on the lakes…
One good thing comes from over powered sleds. The Xbox Generation that feel the need to terrorize the trails at Full Throttle will have a better chance of slamming into a tree killing themselves. I see that as a positive thing.
Having too much power is like having to pretty of a girl. I'm married to a very exotic beautiful lebanese Christian woman with strong faith and family values. Very lucky I am... lol...😉
Lol the difference between my 13 1100 turbo and my buddies 16 zr6000 is 60lbs. 125hp vs 177hp for $400 can turn that 177 into 300. Good luck on a 2stoke getting that power. Can have a fat chick on the back and your still not touching a turbo.
Can't even imagine how technology changes since I was running my little Yamaha Enticer 300 back in 1990... 😅😮
My lynx glx 500 1986 is still sending
I love soft cushy jump landings, its like falling into a hole filled with feathers
Cat and Yamaha have created a beautiful thing....
Awesome machine dude!
That gnarly 4stroke echo at 0:14 like 🥵🥵
Holy turbo noises 😍😍😍😍
Damn, that thing can shovel snow...looks about enough power to me.
😎 NO SUCH THING ,, too much power🇺🇸
Awesome.
I cant believe they went back to 2 stroke in u.s.
You mean put Yamaha stickers on an arctic cat
@@c.k.7618 that doesn't bother me, I just thought the sidewinder mtx was damn good.

2 stroke sleds never left
Glad they did

Goodness man. Just give it steady throttle.
Looks like a nice ride!
Hey sweet sled. How many miles or km do you have on it, and have you ever had any issues?
Gött ljud👍
My dad always said there is no substitute for raw horse power, you can always let off
I wish there was something that sounded just as good with wheels
ducati monster

Can am x3
That’s more power than a LOT of fast cars…
That shit sounds gnarly
Looks heavy af
I havent even watched yet but thrres no such thing
There is never TOO MUCH POWER
That's a Monster.
Do some guys loose their limiter strap and fix suspension to get even better weelies on these things?
Vilkey variator kitt använder du? :)
I am torn between buying 2 stroke or 4 stroke
If it ain't this 4 stroke, definitely go 2 stroke. In my experience normal 4 stroke sleds yield less performance
Had a zr800 now own a 1100 turbo. Will probably never go back to a 2 stroke, and I'm not even tuned yet.
@@bobgrice5258 can you send a vid or video after the tune and your feed back

I gets stuck lots on mine king cat. Diggs deep holes
Yamaha is the best hands down

sounds cool and maybe it’s habit. that’s about it Lol
More control
maybe to engage the clutch?
More control. Single turbo anything just kinda take off once the turbo starts spoolin
Yea he shouldn't do that with 4 strokes bad smooth in and out is the way
Достойный аппарат 👍
spasibo bratan

Wonder how many gallons per min it burns?
Gets stuck....feed it more balls there it goes again lol
Примерно сколько стоит такой?
While he doin wheelies another sled blow rt by him power but i dont see alot speed
Do u have hedears 3 inch on
What is that extra fuel canister?
looks like the brp fuel caddy
But there is such a thing as too much weight
Use to do that for a half mile on a 98 summit 670 just loosen off the limiter strap ! Hahaha and it sounded way better
What exhaust??

When the snow falls the trail will be fixed then destroyed again that's
snowmobiling
And by the way real snowmobilers aren't riding trails

Full pin or nothing.
@@zackzeigler5854 you must not have studs like me. Lol
way too much power for the chassis. no different then if u put a nascar engine in a pinto.

No such thing as too much power only weak riders.
Nothing compared to the first ole 440
4-stroke... Disgusting!
Id rather have something that can last
Why are you demonstrating a 280hp sled on flat land? Makes absolutely zero sense. Big power is for big snow and big mountains. Ridiculous.
