I get the pleasure of getting to drive this every time I take my car in for service and they’re a joy to drive. People thrash this yet they still sell a lot because it’s overall good. Does everything just about right, sort of like the Honda CR-V. Doesn’t excel in any particular category but does everything about right. It’s the second best selling luxury car, just behind of the BMW 3 Series.
I thought this was a very unique way to show a review video, thoroughly enjoyed it! Keep up the great work!

Rogerio Gomes the roads where he is (Michigan) actually are not that good for US roads; you can hear a lot of road noise in other videos. The RX is just adept at soaking up the bumps.

Love the design. Got the 2016 when they first came out. Turned a lot of heads and got compliments on the looks. Love how it looks different from anything else out there.
It's because the ones who buy them are 40 year old soccer moms who want to look rich and *BE RICHER THAN SUZIE THE NEIGHBOR*
My favorite generation was the 2nd gen, 2008 RX350. The only thing I don’t like about the current gen is how long the front overhang is. I felt like I was going to scrape the curb every time I tried parking it.

I love how Toyota makes there Lexus's so quiet but the fault I always would see is the latency on hearing an emergency vehicle
Gauges are nice and I actually think it looks pretty sharp from the front. I really can’t stand that rear pillar though, my eye just fixates on that black accent piece(for me it’s a deal breaker). I’m sure many will disagree with me but I think it ruins the sleek lines.
The cabin does seem to have a bit more road noise than I’d expect but this is the sporty version so that can be overlooked as can the engine note (which I think sounds pretty cool for an SUV). I don’t have a problem with the interior: it’s reserved and unassuming so it will probably appeal to a large amount of people. Still it does look like they played it a bit too safe and I can understand how others might find it bland. I would prefer to have a bland interior that was extremely well made than a flashy one that feels cheap though.

Mohamed Rufai nope the F-Sport is just an appearance package. This and the GS350 have the same size engine but the GS is tuned more towards power and sport

can you do a Assistance system chapter? I would like to know how well the Lane Keep Assist works on this model, and if there is a automatic parking system? Audi and Mercedes has a Traffic Jam assist from 0 to 60 where you don't need to brake or hit Gas. Does that offer Lexus too for example? Lexus has a confusing description about their packages
ruclips.net/video/KSaGVdhMEw4/видео.html / you can check lane asist here. there is a park asist with 360 degree cam views but no auto parking system. self driving system can manage a complete stop but you need to press gas to start moving again. it is intentionally confusing because in rx most off the new driving asist systems are actually gen 1.

all sport modes are noisy. If you switch to comfort or eco mode, you won't hear anything like this video. Super quiet.

I recently test drove the RX and came away very disappointed. I was looking for a quiet, comfortable commuter car and this car had very intrusive engine and road noise. The ride was jittery and the engine was weak. This video seems to confirm my experience.
As disappointed as I am w/ the RX, and Lexus in general, I do have to admit that their cars are extremely reliable. My parents have a 2010 RX since new and it has been trouble free. In the meantime, my immediate family have gone through several new lease vehicles (MBs, BMWs, Honda, Infiniti and a Chrysler) and I have had more issues/recalls w/ these new cars than my parents almost 8 yo Lexus.
If you want quiet, comfortable, and power SUV, you would prop want to go with high trims of the X5, GLE Benz, or even the XC90. If you don't like the RX, ur gonna have to raise the budget a bit for what your looking for.
AlphaAMA, but those vehicles are not BULLETPROOF-ULTRA-RELIABLE and DURABLE like the Lexus. Otherwise I 100% agree with wasabi9111. I would not touch this RX with a 10 foot barge pole. The engine and exhaust are so incredibly NOISY, UNREFINED and NOT SMOOTH at all, like luxury vehicle should be.
The Acura MDX and MDX SPORT HYBRID are incredibly QUIET by comparison. However they also have mediocre reliability (but not anywhere near as bad as the Germans). The Hybrid with the 3.0L V6 is especially QUIET, and with a 120K/8 year extended bumper-to-bumper warranty might do the trick.
Did you drive the F Sport, or the regular RX? I found the regular one to be quite comfy and quiet.

Stupid ass camera makes the car look bad.
I was never a fan of electric vehicles because of all the compromises one has to deal with. But with a manufacturer like Lexus having gone off its rockers, with horrible, horrendously NOISY and UNREFINED powertrains like this RX, the super-quiet electric vehicles can't come soon enough * rollseyes * .
It's noisy on purpose because it's the F Sport, in fact the engine sound is being amplified. I've driven the regular one and found it to be pretty quiet.
Yes, I've driven the regular non F-Sport model and while it is ever so slightly quieter, I still find it incredibly noisy. The engine DRONES on and on at certain RPMs and you can even feel slight vibrations in the steering wheel. As you said, it is intentional because Lexus is supposedly going in some sort of "dynamic" direction and does not want to be associated with its past of having a "soft, silky and isolated" feel of their past products.
That DOES NOT sit well with me (and I speak on behalf of MANY like me, who've been Lexus loyalists precisely BECAUSE of the silky, soft, isolated and luxurious nature of the past vehicles - pre 2010 RXs). Keep in mind this is not only a problem with the RX, but a problem with all Lexus models (to varying degrees). The RX is just the most egregious example of this.
Oddly enough, this is not happening with the "lower market" Toyota versions. Out of curiosity, I just drove the 2018 Camry XLE V6 and was shocked how quiet and smooth the V6 was (even up to 5000 RPM). And a 2017 Toyota Avalon Limited I drove was EVEN quieter (probably the quietest and smoothest Toyota product sold in the US today - much quieter and smoother engine than a Lexus LS 460!!!)
I own a 2000 LS 400 with about 195K miles in mint condition, and *nothing* , repeat *nothing* can even come close to its smoothness and quietness (including its ride comfort which is GLASS-LIKE). At any RPM you simply CANNOT hear or feel that engine. You cannot tell if it is running or not.

Weird. I have not had such an experience with any Lexus I've driven. The RX is like, the most un-sporty vehicle they offer, maybe except for the ES or the big SUVs. Maybe the ES is slightly smoother and quieter than the RX? It's hard to say without driving them back-to-back. Of course the quietest and smoothest car I've driven recently was a G80 5.0 Ultimate... it was damn silky.
Of course I drive an IS F Sport, so neither vehicle is really to my taste anyway - I prefer cars that are fun to drive. But, I can appreciate a well-done luxury car, and I think the RX, at least from the two loaners I've had, is a really nice vehicle. I think I prefer the interiors of ES and GS, but the RX 350s that I drove were very smooth indeed.
