Sir, Kindly let me know the best way to clean the Urli and masala box as over a period of time it becomes dark. Normally we clean with tamarind and salt and lemon. Any alternative kindly let us know. Many thanks
We don't use jeeragam and milagu for the coconut paste. Just blanched the Keerai, add cooked toor dal and then the coconut paste. Temper with mustard and red chilli. That's it. Our kerala style molagootal.
Iam a Palakkad Iyer. coconut is not fried also we do not add pepper. What is ground to a paste is jeera, red chilli and coconut. Even the tadka is given in the end.

Keerai molakootal recipe is different. It is a delicacy for palghat buyers. Karuveppalai and perungayam are not added.
