I'm a student who just started learning maya in 3D school and I can't thank you enough for teaching about rigging !!! outstanding explanations and I would love to have a bunch of follow up videos about the stuff you talk about at the end (especially weight painting because I feel like this is as important as what you taught us !) thank you again I'll make sure to recommend your videos in the futur :)

I can't express how much this series has really helped me in learning the whole rigging process. I know it's not as popular as your Blender videos, but as someone who hasn't found other youtube videos with in depth detail like this, I'm begging you to continue. It took me months because of work and life, but I was able to follow along step by step and although challenging, really inspires me to continue pursuing tech anim. Thanks so much for all your videos so far!! It's incredible.

This series is an absolute goldmine! You are really good at explaining. I really hope you'll make the blend shape and weight painting in Maya videos some day!

I've watched this entire series and wow was it helpful! It demystified the whole rigging process, and I can now try rigging some of my own simple characters! I appreciate you taking the time to make these tutorials, because it helped me and many others out a ton!

I tried placing the spine helper joints (MCH_DEF_IK_spine1-3) in the DO NOT TOUCH group and it causes some scaling problems. When you shrink the rig small enough it will really mess up the spine IK. I fixed it by putting the helper joints under the Global control and it solved this scaling problem.
Another problem I encountered was when you scale the rig enough the geometry will become bloated or shrunken depending on if you increased or decreased the global control's size. This problem is caused by the delta mesh we added a while back. To fix this you will need to connect the global control node's scale output to the delta mesh node's scale input (in the node editor).
I hope this helps anyone who has these problems when following the tutorial.

Not yet! I was planning on doing it but then with the arrival of my baby and the low demand, I didn't have time to.

Hi, unfortunatly for me, adding the Global_Scale_NormaliseDivide (at 13:58) do nothing foe the global scale problem :/
