Agreed. Happy to see Chris win, but Cory was surprisingly impressive this season and especially in the final. Even with the 5 minute penalty he still got second and beat Bananas.
@@sarahvEscalante If this has been a longer race (20 miles vs 10 miles) and there had been two risk stations there would have been a chance for Cory, Tori, and Fessy to make up some time. The race ended being less than 10 miles with the 1.2 mile shortcut and the 1.4 mile ATV ride.

Shoutout to Survivor! They came, they saw, they conquered! Congratulations to Chris and Desi! 🎉 Tori had some actual comp when it came to the Survivor women. A feeling she probably hadn’t felt in a while. Cory was so close I must say he handled that loss like a champ. Good season all in all. I enjoyed this cast.

The ATV reward was really surprising. There were only 2 scales, and challengers like Michaela would also have to wait for production to reset the scales/rocks. The ATV rewards was a little too significant in my opinion. I think a bike would have made more sense.
just the icing on the cake for many poorly designed challenges, the fake hall brawl with pads and then a puzzle made absolutely no sense, it was a season full of carnival games and one of the easiest finals since road rules days.
I'd be pleasantly surprised to see bikes in a final that Tori is in again. Unfortunately I think she's a little too much of a production pet for that to happen
A bike in that terrian? Then fans would complain that production doesn't care about the contestants safety when one of them gets injured and how stupid it was for them to give them a bike and it caused the person to not win due to being injured. An ATV that was rewarded was the best equipment to be used, unless you wanted to see someone get injured as a result. Second, I noticed everything that was implemented within this final had been things that fans have complained about in the past with past seasons finals whether Challenge USA season 1 or the main show that they complained about which is why there was a change in rules and format.
@@Ash-4912 I didn't put too much thought into the alternative reward (bike). My point is that The ATV reward was too significant. If we want to replicate the fairness of the axethrow checkpoint, then all challengers should have gotten an ATV. And have only the correct ones have a shortcut ( or have the incorrect ones have to run a certain distance to a farther ATV). Again I did not and will not go back and study the landscape and geography of the episode. My point is that the ATV reward was too significant.
@@moctor_dario The bike reward would have been a complete disaster. I have seen some people mention bike as an alternative without thinking of the logistics to why that would have been disastrous to do so in the first place. Altitude plus the terrain would have caused a lot of injuries to these contestants who are not professional cyclists when it comes to riding bikes within that kind of terrian or altitude. It would have made Olivia's injury not seem as brutal, if the show got bicycles instead of ATVs on a non sturdy uphill mountain that is filled with lots of rocks of lots of sizes and foliage for contestants who do not know how to navigate such a terrian with a bike. In terms of the ATVs of making the winners use it like they had it, and the losers can only use the ATVs half way and run the rest of the way due not winning the task. Desi and Chris were always in the lead though, so the ATVs didn't change the order with them being on them. The only ones who got ahead were the 3rd place finishers to second place. If 2nd place and 3rd place finishers were receiving money then I could see why people would be upset. Overall though, the show implemented everything that fans constantly have complained about in the past, and made sure to fix it for this final. The rules were consistent and straightforward and nothing on a whim like in seasons past, it was an individual final throughout, and the first day counted to see the running order instead of all starting all at the same time. Plus, only one DQ compared to last season, no injuries like Olivia's injury, one day Finale episode instead of 2, and no one being rewarded the win like Sarah last season for timing out and not completing any tasks. Plus, making the final on medium level instead of acting like a bunch of reality show contestants are in an Iron Man race and rules are just all over the place and not consistent. Which is what this final fixed compared to past seasons.
Tj writing “you have been eliminated” on that board and not even being present did it for me. The final was kind of mid but i don’t care, that was the highlight for me😂
What a finish for Chris. The guy was completely alone, targeted by team survivor and the vacation conglomerate and crying in the confessional only to call out Wes (epic move) and then dominate the rest of the season. This is significantly better than Derrick Gauntlet 2 or Wes Fresh Meat 1 and has to go down as the best performance ever as he was also a ROOKIE.
@@codydhf3Nah…turbo never saw an elimination Chris was damn near in the eliminations every episode and had to survive 80% of the house using him as a scapegoat
this was cory's best performance in a season if he could just smarten up it's only a matter of time before he wins a challenge, but I'm super happy for chris and have been rooting for desi before the season began
I just watched a podcast with Michaela on it and she explained the whole overnight challenge. They had to stand on a cement block and count up to 60 minutes in their head and then step off the block between the 60 and 65 minute mark. If they were correct they got to sleep, otherwise they had to try again. Michaela said only her and Johnny were able to do it, but then went back to help the others. Michaela said that if she had just stuck to working with Johnny, instead of helping the others, that they would have been the only two people to get any sleep, which would have probably changed the results of the final. She also added that she was leading the whole challenge and actually got to the scales first, but she was confused by the directions and while she was trying to reread them, Desi just began to do the scales and Michaela didn't know that Desi was allowed to just skip her even though Michaela was there first and reading the directions. She said between that and not waiting for the next scales to be available (because she thought that they would have to be perfectly balanced and not lopsided at all) is what cost her the win.
Cory, Desi, and Chris were my top three from the beginning. Let's give HUGE props to Cory for finishing in second place overall, especially for coming from behind. I love my Survivor players. Messy Fessy will never win one, and I am happy about it.
@@Mannequin22 he didn’t cheat he went the wrong way. Obviously he wouldn’t cheat there in a situation where it was impossible to get away with it. If he had went he 1.2mile around with tori he woulda came last anyways so that part didn’t matter
@@levlev25you have two types of people who view the challenge. One views eliminations as a way to prove yourself (like me and u). and then u have people who think skating by to the finals proves yourself. But in reality the ones that proved themselves both in elimination and dailies are the ones that become legends. And desi isn’t on the path to be one
The winners did amazing and Chris winning was one of the most feel good feelings I’ve seen on the challenge he deserved it! Michaela has been one of my fav contestants since survivor and I hope to see her again, she was a beast this season.
Michaela is still my MVP for the season. From 1st out to a very strong performance during the daily and in the final. Her saying that she has high class taste and not gas station taste was hilarious 🤣. She said on live last night that she was asked to do Season 39 but declined because she's learned to not do back-to-back seasons since her Survivor days. Good for her to know that taking a mental break is important...I hope we see her again 🤞🏾
She helped keep the Survivor crew intact when she lied to Bananas about the number of crates in the caves Challenge. That sealed the deal for them going forward.
Faysals problem wasn’t the mistake, it was missing the axe. That killed him and tori, while the scales killed Michaela and bananas unfortunately. Chris well deserved his win here but I wish it was a bit closer and not decided by the risk stations for both sides pretty much
Biggest win goes to Cory. He’s fallen behind in other multi day finals and it historically would cause him to spiral and be useless the rest of the final. He really shook off a terrible start. Major growth for the dude.
Ok I know he sucked very bad at the first day but Cory on that second day was SO impressive like he made up SO MUCH ground even before the first check point.... I am happy for Desi and Chris tho they both really did earn it, I also always love the happiness for each other when they all complete the final
The finalists for this season were stacked 👌, no one was a layup. This is a lesson to all vets "never underestimate anyone. Michaela's impatience costed her though very impressed 👏 with her performance.
None of the vets underestimated them like u had 6 vets who had to work overtime to stay in the game. And their were layups like Cory who is known for losing every final and chanelle.
@@Isabell-rz1wu yeah the vets said many times in their confessionals that those players were threats, specifically Chris and Micaela. This was probably the best finals cast we have seen in a long time but I wasn’t crazy about the actual final.
I really thought that Cory was getting the winner edit this season, loved seeing Desi win! Good on Faysal for his eating challenge redemption in a final!
It's about time this season is over. It was still a good season. Tori and Bananas need to take a break from the show, especially Tori. Nothing against them, I'm just wanna see new people or people who we haven't seen so long. Edit: You guys act like I don't watch The Challenge when actually I do. Lol. Not religiously, but I still watch it. I know what I said, and I said what I said. I'm aware of the upcoming season, 39, Battle For A New Champion. I saw the trailer, the 1st episode, and everything. How much more info do I need to elaborate to you guys? Lol.
I was routing for Chris and Mikayla. It was nice to see Cory finish well, bananas be humbled (only took 40 years 😂😂) and Tori be last female and eliminated. I really freaking loved USA 2- 1,000,000 times better than USA 1. Great final- I appreciated the bidding options and the penalties for not completing a task.
this ending had me so emotional i love my champion legends but seeing these new guys come in fight for every possible advantage and get BUSY !! i loved it .. chris well deserved man .. Cory I’m still proud of u .. Desi ur shined girl !! so happy with how this ended
Chris continues to show that he is an incredible competitor. His strategy and social game in these reality competitions is his downfall, but the man can compete. I was so happy when he won his survivor season, but I am so glad that he got a win here and nobody can discredit it or take that away from him. He deserved this.
If Chris does more seasons of I were the men I would be afraid to go against him cause of the odds not being in my favor lol Chris honestly deserves this win and he showed everyone he not someone you want to mess with he is so determined
I really hope Desi and Chris are invited to season 40 on the main challenge! This was the best/most satisfying challenge season in a long time! We got a redemption win and an underdog win all in one final! I don’t think we’ve had an underdog win since Amber on Double Agents!
Overall, the final was fine. I am just not a fan of the crazy advantages. The +1 -1 minutes were good but the plus 1.2 mile or getting to drive a car is crazy. Its not possible to make up that much time.
The ATVs were not for the whole race after winning that section. It also could have been a disadvantage due to stopping the rhythm of the runners pace. Well, ATVs work but having a bike would not work. There are reasons why there are bike paths and not having a bike path is due to the terrian and altitude. So, it would not have been a reward if a contestant got injured on the bike due to the terrain or gased out due to peddling which exerts one's energy faster compared to a runner's steady pace if terrian and altitude plays a part. Overall great final. It didn't rely on a teammate's skills or endurance, for it to help a person or hinder a person. It was solely individual's skills and endurance. It didn't try to be a 5th sport, Iron Man, Spartan, etc type final which many fans have complained about with past finals and wanted it back to the glory days and not accounting for the safety of the contestants, which is what the final produced with not making it too easy but not too hard. These are reality show contestants not some props viewers can see do stupid hard grueling finals. If someone wants that then they should enter a Spartan race, Iron race, or even watch those type of races on TV. I want to be entertained and seeing hard ass finals like it's some type of Iron Man crap is not entertaining. There have been contestants who have in the past sustain serious injuries due to dailies, eliminations, and finals. Glad the show put the contestants safety over many people's entertainment of wanting a hard ass final. It's easier for those type of fans wanting that because they are not the ones sustaining the injuries that the congestants endure. It didn't reward if the contestant was in last place. So wasn't like with last season where Sarah won and many fans had a field day due to not finishng and timing out on some portions. This is a final, so no participation trophy points awarded for 2 contestants to continue by being in last place. It was a fair and straight to the point kind of final. No rules for one contestant and a set of rules for another contestant based on a whim. So, again better than a lot of past finals in the past based on a person's skills and endurance.
Great season and ending with 2 of the most deserving winners. Chris had the most impressive rookie season in challenge history. Desi got her redemption. That axe throwing part really cost Tori that final.. I honestly think Fessy gave up in that final... he tried to be slick and make it seem like he went the wrong way by accident 😂
Chris is one of the most deserving winners in a while! I am sooooo happy for him. Didn’t care too much for Desi winning, Michaela worked her butt off all season.
I'm so happy for Desi! It's a wonderful turnaround from her Survivor journey to now. Chris is really showing that he deserved his Survivor win. That season was poorly executed and he unfairly receives the brunt of it. It's evident by his end game he would have slayed Edge of Extinction.
I liked the final except for the car advantage. That was a way too big of an advantage to the point that Cory got second place because of it. Also Only Desi's scale was balance. Chris and Cory's was not balance and I thought that was weird. Also Fessy with his 4th placement. Does he have the record of 4th place in every final?
@@dayjonbartley3145 lol why do people hate Tori so much? lol i do but I'm a huge Survivor fan and go for the newbies and she's a vet and it's just predictable when the vets are in power
@@cambed71 I get rooting for the rookies but people hate tori for just existing at this point. I think they don’t like her cuz of how her ego was in the past when she got humbled when throwing herself into elimination, but now people call her scared for avoiding it
Chris was probably the most deserving winner I’ve seen on the Challenge. Went in and beat people down endlessly and then absolutely made the final look easy. This is the first time I was really pulling for someone to win in a long time and he did.
This was a great final. Im happy that Chris beat the odds & Desi got her redemption! Im especially proud of Michaela & I hope to see her back in a future season!
Also can we talk about how Fessy took the shortcut that saved him 1.2 miles but got penalized for only 1 mile total...I mean he still came in last but wth kind of a penalty was that?
Was hoping to hear that Cory finished within 5 minutes from Chris, meaning he actually had an overall faster time. Would have added some interesting drama. But I’m very happy Chris won this
Thank you for providing great content this season!!! I'm a recent patron supporter & glad I found a community who is super into The Challenge as well. I was rooting for Michaela early on (I loved her vibe when she would always talk about taking down the vets lol) and was a huge fan of Desi last season (I was so upset at her partner in S1 xD). Cory & Chris were my top two. This final was good and truly enjoyed majority of the season. Congrats to Desi and Chris! Well deserved. Good game play!
I think that's unlikely. This final was super easy, and that final was extremely hard. Even if Enzo doesn't quit, Desi starts with one point after the first round and probably trails Sarah by at least four or five points going into day 2. And I'm not convinced that Desi would finish because as much as I like her, only the toughest players could complete that final in those conditions. All that being said, I am happy that Desi got a second chance and won this time, even though I was rooting for Michaela.
I wonder how fast chris beat everyone. Would like to have seen the times on the screen. Or at least know how long it took cory to come in 2nd place behind chris...
Chris smoked them all the whole season and to back up his season he was so ahead of everyone. Props to Chris that man put in the work and got his reward 🎉
I love Chris’ patient and methodical approach to this game. It paid off so well at so many different points. I think this is the most deserved winner this show has seen in ages. And while I was pulling for Michaela, I’m super happy for Desi after getting completely boned in the final last year. Desi getting emotional always makes me emotional lol. Good season, great winners. I just wish production could find a happy medium between airing finals that feel too brief and finals that feel too long.
Y'all I have a lot to say about this final. I never thought I'd see the day I would root for Cory, but the way this final went, I felt pretty bad for him after seeing how he placed in the first 4 trials... I felt like the spelling bee was so elementary for a final? Like, how do these people not know how to spell basic english words? And for that to give you a minute advantage or disadvantage? Idk, it just seems a bit dumb when we're talking about a 250k prize. The puzzle station was the only station I felt like was an adequate enough "game" to win an advantage. Hearing you mention Cory hasn't been on the challenge since 2021, I haven't even realised it's been that long. Never thought I'd see the day when Faysal would actually finish the eating portion of the challenge, and here we are. I understand Tori is a vegan, but I miss the days we had challengers eat crazy stuff. Personally, as far as the advantages go for the risk stations, I wasn't a fan of the ATV addition. I feel like it literally set you up for a win no matter how far behind you would have been?? I really need Tori to take a break from the Challenge. Tired of seeing her every single time... All in all congrats to Chris and Desi. Chris deserves it after all the bullshit he had to put up with throughout the season and I love that Desi got her redemption after how Enzo did her last season. Would have loved to see Michaela win too though, she's a real one for sure.
The most well deserved people won! I am so happy Desi deserved it after what happen to her last year & Chris deserved it because they kept putting him in the final .
They definitely learned from s1 to make this finale not so harsh lol. The eating and spelling challenges were mid to me. I was SO hype for Chris and it was nice to see Desi's redemption but omg I was so disappointed in Micheala but Im sure she gave it her all 😢
Can't believe I didn't know you have a podcast! Just listened to the Challenge Fanatic podcast/Tori interview. Excited to know this now, you're awesome Drew!
Here in 2min and couldn't be happier w our new winners....imo most deserving of them left!! Lol kinda funny seeing Tori choking too lol. Bananas was even kinda humble! Sadly one best eps this season....
One thing about Cory, I applaud that he looks even bigger and obviously works out and had calmed down and is playing the game socially better. However dumb is forever. You can't pick one puzzle and learn it? You can't pick one math thing and learn it?
Also the new challengers are hungry and good like a Chris and Horicao. We also have the return of Jordan and CT to the main show roster for season 40 so Cory’s chances are slimmer
I’m so glad Chris managed to win. Dude straight up DOMINATED that final. So glad for Desi’s redemption as well. Fuck Enzo. I do feel really bad for Cory though, my man just keeps getting second place 😭
I personally did not like this final cuz the first day felt so pointless other than corey really being behind but then the risks on day 2 it just didn't feel like this final showed me who deserved it I'm happy with chris and desi winning but the ATV was too overpowered in my opinion cuz unless chris and desi bombed the final checkpoint there was zero chance for anyone else to win it felt anticlimactic
@@U2BearCat I honestly think it gives you even more than 10 to 15 minutes when it’s that late in the race where legs are tired and you get to rest also going up a mountain so higher altitude

1. BANANNAS was on a podcast and he said, "I can't outrun 2 things- I can't outrun my past, and I can't outrun an ATV." 🤣🤣That being said I am glad Chris was the winner considering how he performed on both the season overall and in the final. 👏 2. FESI was able to come in second in the eating comp, because it wasn't really gross food (aside from a couple small worms) it was mostly just spicy food that did people in. With him coming from a Middle Eastern background, he probably has a higher tolerance for spicy/hot food. 3. I was hoping that MICHAELA won. She was my favorite female competitor this season by far, even though I didn't agree with every move she made. I really liked DESI Season 1, but WES is my all-time favorite challenger, and with all of the mess that she caused between him and Cassidy because he was trying to honor what Desi wanted (while she was lying to him), and then her mocking him in the confessional when he was honestly being emotional about how much the Challenge meant to him and how this was his last one. The cherry on top for me was her getting emotional herself multiple times and crying about how she's not a liar after not honoring her deal with Tori. It just left a bad taste in my mouth where she is concerned. But at least she is an overall good competitor, so her win was understandable.
Chris’s arc this season was amazing from going to being on a really strong team in the beginning,to most hated dude in the house, from elimination king to challenge champ greatly deserved
Happy for Chris hope he gets the call for SS 40 but Fessy getting last place in a final for the 3rd straight time sheesh!! he’s becoming 1 of those guys you want to see in a final cause you know you can beat them 🤣
Why do they always do casino style “events” with cbs challenges? This final was mainly a long ass foot race with casino games spread throughout. It was okay but not my favorite finals.
I have mixed feelings about the final. Happy Chris and Desi won, but Tori and Fessy going out because they couldn't throw an axe? Dumb. I would have rather they just got a disadvantage instead of being eliminated. Also Cory thinking he was going to win a strength based competition against that field of guys? 🤔
I mean yeah the axe throwing being so huge is kinda messed up but also it’s like did you see how Tori was throwing the axe? She rushed almost every throw. Shouldn’t be that lazy about something so important. She should know more than anyone’s in finals the smallest thing makes the biggest difference

I still would put Turbo's WotW's season as the best rookie season of all time

I'm happy for Chris. He really truly deserved it. He's the next Wes Bergman, the elimination king.
@@brettm7345 Maybe, maybe not. You never know.
He deserves a spot on season 40
@@brettm7345why?
@brettm7345 has he said this?

That comment was the first time I haven't enjoyed Michaela. Classism isn't my idea of comedy.
@@lallana2882 Saying that about someone who just won 500k and has been on tv for 7 years is classism????

I am so happy for Chris and Desi!! Well done and we'll deserved guys!!
Also really happy for Cory.
He should be so proud of himself!
Chenelle also really impressed me. Not ashamed to say I was wrong about her all season. Girl did amazing 👏🏼

Cory was barely in the edit this season
I do like that in his confessionals that Chris is thinking strategy. Surprised Cory didn't do that well in the Strength Test.
It's about time this season is over. It was still a good season. Tori and Bananas need to take a break from the show, especially Tori. Nothing against them, I'm just wanna see new people or people who we haven't seen so long.

I really freaking loved USA 2- 1,000,000 times better than USA 1.

The ATV is what really soured it for me.
I'll be honest, the daily challenge from All Stars 2 "Dive & Conquer" seemed harder than this final LOL.
He knew damn well he went the wrong way. He just thought they wouldn't notice 😂 watching him having to run back was satisfying not gonna lie lol
Cory impressed the hell out of me this final. He killed day two
Chris is one of the most deserving winners in a while!
They just couldn't weigh it down. It didn't have to be perfectly balanced. Just balanced enough that one side didn't hit the ground.
So stoked for the winners, but that final was anti-climatic.
I agree, that final was easier than ROD. I could’ve finished that final. I think people like it cuz tori got eliminated
@@dayjonbartley3145 lol why do people hate Tori so much? lol i do but I'm a huge Survivor fan and go for the newbies and she's a vet and it's just predictable when the vets are in power

The audible gasp when Tori got purged woke up my cats!
This finals did not impress me but I’m happy with the result
They were so mediocre to me?? Thought I was the only one who noticed it LOL
Chris was probably the most deserving winner I’ve seen on the Challenge. Went in and beat people down endlessly and then absolutely made the final look easy. This is the first time I was really pulling for someone to win in a long time and he did.
Pretty ironic, ngl.
The way I thought someone was gonna chop a body part off by accident with those axes
I’m assuming it’s because they probably had half mile markers and not .56 mile markers
I was so incredibly happy with the winners of this season! Well deserved!
3 Black women to close out the final! WhAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!! I love it

Chris really earned that win!!!!! I’m happy for dessi also. 😊
Cory has to have the record for most second place finishes at this point
After watching these finals there isn’t a doubt in my mind Desi would’ve won season 1 if not for Enzo, she balled out
I think that's unlikely.
Thank you for all your videos and recaps of another fun season! Looking forward to Challenge 39! Keep up the good work!
Chris smoked them all the whole season and to back up his season he was so ahead of everyone. Props to Chris that man put in the work and got his reward 🎉
Faysal shocked me in the eating comp! It was fairly tame compared to previous eating challenges but good for him.
I'm dead at Faysal tryna cheat lmao
Tori got Show Smoked by three fierce beautiful black women competitors in this final 😂 they all smoked Tori
They definitely learned from s1 to make this finale not so harsh lol. The eating and spelling challenges were mid to me. I was SO hype for Chris and it was nice to see Desi's redemption but omg I was so disappointed in Micheala but Im sure she gave it her all 😢
Meh I still think season 1s final runners were babies. Id love to see this group run that exact final.
They made it too easy this time. Maybe they'll have the right balance next season.
they can't make finals hard anymore because the new competitors can't handle it... pathetic
@Mannequin22 it was really just a matter of them not being properly dressed for the weather.
Can't believe I didn't know you have a podcast! Just listened to the Challenge Fanatic podcast/Tori interview. Excited to know this now, you're awesome Drew!
Give Cory credit for making up the 5 minute penalty but the dude needs to use his brain and learn a puzzle or two and how to spell.

They had the ATV for a good 1.5 miles that can give you a good 10 to 15 minute advantage over the rest of the pack.

1. BANANNAS was on a podcast and he said, "I can't outrun 2 things- I can't outrun my past, and I can't outrun an ATV." 🤣🤣That being said I am glad Chris was the winner considering how he performed on both the season overall and in the final. 👏

They had a standing portion throughout the night where they had to stand on a log all night. CBS never aired it
I have mixed feelings about the final.
