You are right about this song sounding like "Creep" by Radiohead. Radiohead got sued for it and lost. You got a good ear for hearing the similarities!

  • @darylfenstad1382

They're just regular electric guitars with a little bit of reverb, makes it sound very 60s, even though this song came out in 1972, I was eleven and have always loved it.

Love this song. This is the feeling of waking up next to the woman you love, and sleepily thinking about how good life can be.

The Hollies are awesome, songs from them that are top notch are: "He aint Heavy, hes my brother," "bus stop" and "long cool woman in a black dress"all chart toppers! FYI, the Hollies named the Band after Buddy Holly! One of my all time favorites...

The criminally underrated Tony Hicks on lead guitar.

'Long Cool Woman (in a black dress)' is the one they are most known for but I remember this one & didn't know it was them!

FYI, the audio engineering for "The Air That I Breathe" was done by Alan Parsons, who also added some sonic magic to a little album called "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd.

"Long cool woman in a Black Dress" has the greatest intro ever. The air that I breathe: magic with only 3 chords.

Graham Nash went on from the Hollies to form Crosby, Stills and Nash. David Crosby left the Byrds and Steven Stills left Buffalo Springfield and eventually another member of Buffalo Springfield named Neil Young joined them to form Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

A song from my youth. Written by Albert Hammond who wrote a number of great songs, of which "The Free Electric band" was meaningful to me as a youngster trying to find my way. Such memories, so thanks for that one. Be well, and keep the good tunes rolling.

  • @wilfbentley6738

Somewhere on that stage is Graham Nash (later of Crosby, Stills and Nash fame). The Hollies were known for their harmonies, as were CSN and CSNY.
