2011 was the year I graduated high school. It's nice to be able to go back in time to revisit for a little while with this video.

or maybe because in 2011 many in the world went out and protested economic injustice, tyranny. and when disaster strikes we come together to help others in need. in ways i'm saying the world was united than what we are now. so i believe the years are worsening.
This message probably won’t be read by anyone but still. 2011 Zeitgeist reminds me of the last New Years eve we celebrated together with mom and dad, after that year they separated. This beautiful song makes me feel chills everytime I’m seeing that video. It was sweet 2011 with its good and bad moments, we were young and careless. I just wanted to share my feelings with you guys, I believe many of you are feeling the same😉 (maybe not the parents part, but some warm childhood flashbacks). Thanks for reading this, sorry for being emotional🙂

Im only 21 but times seemed so much simpler in 2011 it didn't matter where people came from or what their political affiliation was everyone believed in the common values of the human life...
My girlfriend is a indian Sikh and we love our unique British identity of multiculturalism but it genuinely seems like political correctness has been took to far by some people in my continent...

2011 was the year I became unemployed because the company went out of business, but it was the greatest year of my life because, for the first time in my life, I got to spend quality time with my family, friends, see the beautiful earth, and realize there's more to life than just working my life away.

@@lucylukose4645 much better year. I got with the girl of my dreams, planning out a year worth of travels (going to all 50 states) and I have finally felt like I’ve gotten things figured out.
Dropped out of college last year when it went to online and I couldn’t keep up, felt awful to quit but it feels great to live for something again

The years 2010-2016 make me feel the most nostalgic,I lost some of my closest relatives in that period,just want the good school days back :(
2011 is so emotional to me- Best year of my life, and I was only 12 turning 13. The last year of my childhood, the last chance I got to see the world with innocent eyes. I still long for that year.

Not to sound like a douchebag but it was way better. PC culture was only just starting, and the games were better, MW2, RDR, Skyrim. So much great stuff.

You know, what really makes this video is the music, and the part it plays in delivering the message across. "Sooner or Later", of course, totally fit with Google's theme for this video, and the way they put it together to fit with the song is genius.
I think that's why people say, that even to this day, Year in Search 2011 was the best one.

2023 now and 2011 is still the best Google year in search. That was one hell of a year.
These make me tear up every time. That last image alone of the kid high fiving the soldier alone would do it.
I feel like we had a peak in 2011, smartphones existed but we weren't addicted to them, popular music was more varied as it wasn't all dance music like today, for me it was a year when I learned some lessons but it was overall a beautiful year.

It makes me both smile and cry over how much hope there was that year. So much of it would fall apart in later years, but for short while, even with all the problems and misery, the future looked bright.

In 2011 people came together that was the best part for me.
The world had its best during 2011-2016. It's always amazing to see how it started. I miss my childhood and teenage so much.
The year in reviews used to be so good. They used to focus on the entire world rather than just the US.

I remember 2010/2011 new years eve I was partying my last time back home before moving. Was one of the most difficult moments in my young life. I'd give my most valued possession to go back one decade and relive everything, just embrace it all over again. Make even better memories too.

This was made the year my little sister was born.. Exactly two years away from me. I thought having a sister would be great! But I was wrong, today she practically abuses me and we are totally different. So don't even ask how we celebrate our birthdays (which is on the same day). The worst part is, Mom and Dad aren't doing anything about the way shes treating me. Shes hated me since day 1! On her second birthday, she tried to push me into the fireplace, and she can also make herself cry. So when she bit me, (which was really painful for me only being 3) she bit herself, cried, and said I bit her and then I bit myself to make it look like she bit me! I was in serious trouble. That's why i spend the most of my days locked in my room trying to get away from her, and my friends are my only escape.
I come here every year when Google publishes the Year In Search video. That music of Mat Kearney gives me goosebumps always! This is by far the best Zeitgeist video..

Everytime I watch these years in review, I get the chills. Just remembering all the things that happened in the course of the year is kinda mind opening. Its a great way to reflect on how we've come along as human beings.
