Just brilliant Sarah!!! So very well done!!! I’ve made handmade books and this reminds me of all the accurate measurements. How lovely you made yourself a book with your ideas and vision, and then to bring it to fruition!! Thank you so very much for sharing Sarah!!
Dear Sarah, I just saw this video. What a lovely peace of Art this is. So many hours of work! I love it and enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you again for showing us. Tineke
Now I'm off on the hunt to find tutorials that will help me in making something similar. Detailed work like this is right up my alley. You inspire so many of us in so many ways and we thank you!
Let me know if you find anything Susan, I would be interested to see! The RSN has a book on Embroidered Boxes which is basically the techniques the bed is made around

Hello Sarah!! What a stunningly beautiful & unique work of art!! That’s worthy of a beautiful custom made glass display box - for you home or art studio!! But if you ever have a granddaughter - her bedroom would be a perfect place for her imagination to blossom!! Have you ever considered displaying it in a Children’s Museum or a Historically Beautiful Library?? How proud you must be of this project!! I’m sure everyone in your apprentice class admired this piece as you probably equally admired their pieces!! What a challenging & technical course😱😬😊🤗👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻💕!! Thank you creating this video to share -I totally loved every moment of it💕!!
I've made miniature furniture and houses for years and now I'm keeping myself busy with embroidery so this video was right up my alley. I really enjoyed hearing about your process which is much like something I would do. Thank you for sharing Sarah. Loved this!
Sarah, this is truly beautiful, and all the plans and diagrams too, interested to know about your engineering background. This stimulates my interest in the world of miniature and I would be interested to know if you ever consider doing an online course in this sort of 3D embroidery. I love it, plus the sketch and workbooks too.❤👍
Thank you Elaine! I did a mechanical engineering apprenticeship but it wasn't really for me although it's suprising how it can be useful! I might do a video on the small box which shows you all the basics...
Absolutely stunning. Your attention to detail is incredible. Thank you for sharing. You need to put it out on display in a glass cabinet, not hidden away in a box. It's a work of art.
Wow Sarah such a lot of work and truly something to be proud of. There is a little joke in our family that I am just like the Princess and the pea story. I just cannot stand anything in my bed that shouldn't be there. Thank you for sharing your project and learning a little more about you.
Yes I love the planning process too and doing a similar thing as making a journal with all the things that inspire me for my embroidery so lots of cut outs, fabric plus the embroidery itself 😊 thank you for sharing this amazing piece ❤
Absolutely fantastic! I so enjoyed seeing this. I have loved tiny things since I was a child and this is one of the most fascinating I’ve seen. Well done you!
So amazing! Love to see all the attention to detail as well as your extensive documentation and research! It’s super helpful to see how you planned this work out. I’m always recutting board because I’m off by a pencil line width!
Oh wow! Sarah, you've done it again... this is simply stunning. Your design, planning and construction is fabulous and I hope you got a h-u-g-e amount of satisfaction and pleasure out of the whole project, 'cos I certainly did watching it. What next???🤭💜
Extraordinary project Sarah! Wonderful to see first your design book and then your video, so I could begin to understand the various elements and how they all work together. Delightful!!
Absolutely delightful Sarah - not sure how I missed this video when it came out. LOVE IT and, like Tracy Rain, who commented previously - I also want one to play with !!

Was so excited when I saw you had posted this earlier today that I saved it until tonight so I could enjoy every moment in peace, and what a treat it has truly been, absolutely fascinating and absolutely superb, what a wonderful piece of work, thank you so much for sharing it. Can I ask a question please, is the whole thing "sewn" together, or did you need to glue "any" of it?, thank you.
It's all sewn Rebecca which is why I think it's still in good shape after all these years! I did glue the big gold ball on the top but don't tell anyone...:)
Oh wow Sarah!, thank you, that's even more amazing, I can only imagine how technically demanding it was to sew all that together so perfectly (I know how totally useless I am with a curved needle!), a totally superb, beautiful piece of work, I really enjoyed learning about it, thank you.
