As Pete at Bacchus says, with smaller scales you don’t paint figures but whole units. The style is more impressionistic, but the overall effect is of large bodies of men as opposed to a bus load of blokes off for a stag weekend.
@@toofatlardies Thanks! Will you be doing a short video on this? Including a few extreme close-ups? I really have no idea what the raw unpaionted models look like.
@@klausfritsch4350 yes. We certainly will. Mark is planning one. The secret is black undercoat and then dabs of bright colour. I found paint pens very helpful.
@@toofatlardies And are there templates provided that show a top down view of how to organize them or is that up to each player to decide? Because I have no idea what they should look like -- like at 2:56 the cavalry are arranged in kind of a hook formation, for instance -- I would have never thought to arrange them like that.
There are PDF printable units with the preorders that give examples of how they might like. Korhyl, Antonine and Lasercast miniatures all have examples on their websites for inspiration though!
Thank you, guys, well done....
Interesting army, looks like fun to play!
It’s only a small intro army but it shows you don’t need tons of units for a good game.
No closer shots of figs?
To be honest they are very small! It’s all about the big formations. If you want to play them in bigger scales eg. 6mm, 10mm or 15mm you could!
How do you paint these fleas? And do you not break off pikes and spears and so on?
