Mark, very nice presentation! Since I'm not a FB member, I've never been able to view the game's on-gong evolution this past year, beyond the occasional WSS magazine article, and your Twitter postings. Still, I got in early by buying a few armies from Marco at Korhyl Miniatures, and he has been helpful conveying some of the basic organizational features of the rules. Long story short, I was still wondering if a pre-order campaign for the rules might still include free army flats - a few of my friends here in the Midwest USA likely could be lured into joining me, if the flats are still being envisioned for the release!?
@@markbackhouse3372 of course I couldn’t resist and had to preorder a couple of days ago… so yeah. My next objective is to try and resist buying models. Just play with the Print-out units first and I I get and itch I start with building terrain first with material I already own. Let’s see how I fare in that struggle…
You start with a core list and then can add common and rare units to make it larger. This stops you choosing a daft all elite army. The scenarios have pre-made historically based lists.
Sorry guys not a great primer presentation. Too zoomed out to see the units concerned which is a shame as it is an interesting period but I'm none the wiser That said .I hope it goes well.
Sorry you didn’t enjoy it. There were a number of close up shots showing units in detail. You won’t see individual figures as this is about modelling whole units rather than individual men. I’m not entirely sure how we can show much more than the close ups we have included that, on a computer or TV screen, are many times larger than the units are in reality. That said, we will try to do better.
Thanks Mark - really useful primer on the Ancient Brits - eagerly awaiting videos on the German and Gallic armies (assuming they're in the pipeline!)
There is a Gallic example on the second Strength and Honour video. Will try and squeeze in a German one later on.
Thanks, Mark!! Yea Boudicca!!
Prepare the ginger wig and blue woad now John!

Meaning print-topped, cardboard, or card stock units (this idea was mentioned a few times over the past months).
These rules intros are getting better and better. Really hard to resist for me…
Pleased you are enjoying them.

Interesting. Can you let us know who is producing these armies and bases please?
I’ve seen Warbases advertising the models. Not sure if they’re available elsewhere as well
Korhyl Miniatures and Laser Cast are also doing 2mm figures for S & H
Fantastic chaps, also Mark well spoken, I love talks on history and wish there was a few more about
I’m pleased you enjoyed it.
Looking forward to the release.
How much flexibility is there in the lists provided by the rules? Fixed? Points system? Something in between?

Outstanding! What size are the bases, and are they specified by the rules?
The bases here are 120x60mm but you can use whatever scale or size you want as long as are roughly twice as wide as they are deep.
I’d like to get this game and play it in 6mm or 10mm.
It’ll work well with both.
IvServed a girl in my store called Boudicca yesterday.
Please do some batreps ...and leave out most of the dice rolls please !
We’ve got the Batrep done already - with quite a few of the dice rolls in already I’m afraid. We will film a few different ones though.

They didn't make any miniatures and it's all 2mm so nothing to see beyond blobs from far away.
Maybe we will do the next battle report in 6mm or 10mm for the cameras, but honestly in 2mm you get a unique visual that I really like.
