Wait until the engine shutdown with no way to properly stop it. Transmission issues, engine issues, Electrical, and etc. These vehicle are dangerous. You need to look at the overall usability of this vehicle. Don't be fooled by Horse Power and ego.

Also, You'll never find anything that has this much power AND this fast that holds 5 people. It's just sad they are still using the BIG/HEAVY Platform that was developed when Benz owned dodge, a 500 lb lose would make a world of difference.

Maybe aluminum hood and fenders, doors , you know what is really heavy in that car .. the front car seats they are over 100 lbs each ... I have a Challenger srt8 and it is pretty quick, but that beast would walk all over it in every gear and finish me off pretty quickly
Although this Challenger Redeye is OUTSTANDING, it would be foolish to assume Dodge is going to stop here considering the pace they have been maintaining lately. I have been around cars since '69, and I will assure anyone that these are the best cars from America Manufacturers that were ever produced, and we are living the dream RIGHT NOW thanks to Dodge. ITS NOT OVER WITH THE REDEYE. The others (Ford and Chevrolet) will be coming, and they will be presenting some numbers in the following years. This must all happen suddenly before the EPA closes the "worm hole". I hear HELLEPHANT hood beats.... That crate engine is only a warning of what comes next. Hopefully it will show up in a Barracuda, and/or a two door Charger! Angels are coming!!! 😀😱😨🤯
I agree with most of what you said except ford and gm have stated they will not be building any production cars with more than 750hp. Their reasoning behind their statement is because they are not in a hp war with dodge at all. They are competing for cars that are more of the road course than a muscle car. Also dodge is already feeling the heat from the government. I think it will end in the 900hp range possibly the 1000hp range before the government puts the brakes on dodge.

The Redeye will make a lot of pretty girls (including McKenzie and husband from Two Rivers Wisconsin) shiver they're bones like no tomorrow and truly scare them to death when you hit full throttle in the Redeye with 797 HP and 707 Ibs of torque going through their blood streams.
I love that a car company is making a street rod. Everyone like likes a straight line race. Not like the Mustang or Camaro who want to make road race cars. No one road races. Especially on the street.

Love my 2018 Scat Pack in Octane Red. I have had so many compliments on this car and the color!!!!! Best car I have ever owned. I use it as a daily driver, so it gets babied when I detail wash, clay, wax, spit shine the crap out of it. In the winter months, I'm fortunate to have my wife old Honda CRV on those crazy snowy Chicago winter days. So far just mid-muffler delete, tinted windows and eventually thinking of doing some lowering springs to drop it maybe just another inch. I plan on having this car a long time. Just so fun to get in every day to drive to work. Take co-workers for a head snapping lunch break and of course there is always the guy at the light that thinks he can take you!!! LOL Next time around if budget permits I'd like a Hellcat, but if not, I'd love the wide body scat pack option with wider tires etc. Anyone thinking of getting this car....it's so much fun...well worth the money....you only live once!!!!!!! #MoparRocks

my black 392 man shifter often scares me, i turn off the driver aids because they are not refined like my BMW , Porsches and will fight you in oversteer and they cut ALOT of power when you NEED it to correct from hitting curbs.
FYI the duel snorkel hood isn’t for cooling the engine it’s for feeding the enormous supercharger, and the the engine is so insanely heavily because unlike ford and Chevy, Dodge actually used a solid iron block for it, so it could easily handle over 1000hp, the transmission however cannot.
My aunt was photographed in a Chevy SSR in the parking lot of a Golden Corral on her 90th birthday,so yeah,I don't think that a Challenger Hellcat Redeye is that much of a stretch 🤔 😅.
I know Joe Amato who dominated Top fuel drag racing for years. He purchased two Hellcats in 2015 when they came out . A manual and an automatic. He never races on the streets ! He enjoys these great cars and respects them more .

This is a 1964.....even ferraris didn't have more than 4 gears. First 6spd didn't come out until the late 80's and paddle shifts until 1997. The 1993 McLaren F1 even had a Manual 5spd. The Viper, ZR-1, Hellcats never got Paddle shift because there wasn't a Paddleshift DCT transmission strong enough to handle the torque in a front engine/RWD layout. Now with the Demon and Redeye they are ONLY available in auto because No Manual is "Warranty" rated high enough for the torque. Most european and JDM cars don't make that much torque....so they don't have the problem. Only the AMG Turbo v8/V12 (cars make serious Torque) and ONLY run automatics.
