I am from Mauritius, and we make stews very very differently. Since I dated my ex boyfriend who is Nigerian, I started watching videos and making stews just like that and jesus is lord this is the best thing ever with some white rice and fried plantain. Now I’m pregnant and craving some 😭😭😭

You just voiced out my main concern about stew! 😮 Why will make stew today and it comes out nice 👍🏾and the next day it's not good?! But you've answered my silent question - it's heat. I need low heat to cook it. Thanks alot, I don't just cook with you, I also learn. ❤

This looks so appetising. I do scoop out the oil as well after cooking my stew and use it to make other dishes like soup, moi-moi etc but I found that it's best to use palm oil for those other dishes as it's more tasty and very healthy for heart and brain function.
