Thanks, very helpful! Specifically the 45 degree trick with the mouse buttons worked really well

I just purchased this laptop from Amazon renewed. It might not come with a backlight keyboard. If not I may use this video to replace the keyboard with a backlight keyboard. Great video.

Overall, quite helpful viedo. Just one annoying issue: your hands very often obscure the view of interesting fields/details :-/.

Just as a note. You do not need to disable the battery in the boos. There is also a switch on the underneath side that is accessible via a pin. As a note, this so ALWAYS a soft disconnect, so there is still power to the motherboard so it does not really do anything to prevent damage. It just gives a way to put the machine into the lowest power draw mode, requiring charger to be connected to restart

Can I ask something. I have a t470 for which I am searching a backlit keyboard and I can't find any. I bellieve that this suits me, BUT it has the ribons are the left side, in contrary with t470 that they are on the right. Do the ribons have enought ribon to actualy go to the other side? from the video I can see that maybe they have.

Agh, I got the 490s. You have to open it from the back and take out the battery and motherboard to get to the keyboard. My N and down arrow keys stopped working. Liquid damage. :/

Press F1 to access the bios. The keyboard is not working, and F1 is not responding.

@@mohanr6126 if the laptop skips entering the BIOS, hold SHIFT and restart the machine. after it reboots it will display options, one of it being to enter UEFI (new BIOS interface).
