Regular S55 takes 6.5L / 6.9 Qts, CS & GTS takes 7.0L / 7.4 Qts . You are conflating quarts & liters; just an FYI for you or your followers

What is the difference between the engine oil pan?
@@ruiluo1034 GTS/CS has an oil pan that allows for an extra 0.5L. Regular cars do not have this oil pan.

I have replaced my oil level sensor and oil pressure solenoid valve and my iDrive on the Supra still wont let me measure beyond 18-20% without stopping to say I have to continue driving longer. Just give us dipsticks back!!
What a relieve, good thing it was just the sensor 🙏🏾.
I used that same oil in my 15 428i and burned a quart of oil in 4500 miles. I then switched over to the LL liqui moly one because the BFE liqui moly oil is not the best for hard driving and more so for fuel economy. The liqui moly LL 5W-30 is a full SAPS oil which helps in protecting the engine better with hard driving but more so for combating acid that comes into the engine from the fuel. I only burned 0.3 quart in 4800 miles with that oil. I now use AMSOIL Euro Formula FS 5W-40 for summer/spring and the 0W-40 FS version of it for fall/winter and I do 10,000 miles intervals and I burn NO oil. Yes in 10,000 miles on AMSOIL I burned NO oil in a BMW motor. If I were you John I’d consider AMSOIL especially in a M4 GTS.

If the oil is already full and the car says it's low, you don't want to add another quart and overfill it. Best to drain and measure the oil if there's no sign of leaks or burning.
Currently dealing with a low pressure oil issue on my F80 M4 after taking it in for an oil change. Replaced the oil pressure sensor and still reporting low oil pressure and vanos codes

Hey John, did you ever consider in a pinch to drain and measure the amount of oil before the Kies show, to check whether you were actually low?
I figure if/when you saw that the oil was NOT in fact low and no signs of oil leak, you would be comfortable enough to conclude that the issue was just the sensor?
why don’t they make dipstick retrofits for all the motors

So wait... if you have the spacer, couldn't you just order the normal sensor?
It might fit, but it will not read properly as the spacer will push a stock s55 sensor further away from the oil pan, this will trick the measuring system into thinking you actually have too much oil in the car. The GTS sensor compensates for the spacer.
