Follow a good solid 3 month training plan leading into a taper for the last couple of weeks to reduce fatigue and a weeks rest with minimal recovery exercise during. Maintain a good diet all the while and stay off the drink and get plenty of sleep. You may as well get used to the sacrifices. Cheat and your only cheating yourself. Get to lympstone and stand by. Enjoy it and listen to what your told. End of the day, treat things like you would for a serious race or event. More you put in, the better the outcome.
Remember the good old days on the prmc forum where lads would post their run stats and push up press up sit ups numbers. Just encouraged everyone to smash themselves and get injured and delay their application.
Is there a benefit on a 2 week taper? I was reading the book Tactocal Barbell and before selection it says 2 taper for 2 weeks with 3 steady runs each week, nothing else.
Not looking to join the Royal Marines at 64 but a very interesting video it shows the effort and dedication you need to join up.thank you. 👍

They're now sub maximal. 10.5 bleep test, 30 press ups, 40 sit ups and 4 pull ups. Of course you need to be exceeding those scores though.
