I have an AC30 fromt he CC line. I tried an AC15C1 the other day and it sounded better than my AC30 does. Right now I'm interested in the TB18C1 and I'm gonna try it. I don't necessarily need a 100% authentic Vox tone, just some Voxy qualities would be fine for me. I like Fender cleans a lot too so the TB makes sense to me. Let's see about that!
The best bit is how the guitars change when you change switches on the amp. ;) The AC-30 sounds better, though I'd like to see a shootout between vintage AC-30's and the newer AC-30's. The ones I played between 5 and 10 years ago was enough for me to not look at them again. I did hear a custom built AC-15 which really nailed vintage Vox tones.
I like them both. I have usage for both vibes American clean and British clean/low gain. It seems like the American voicing of the TB would suit overdrive pedals better? I like the natural crunch of the AC30 better.
Oh! There are 2 of these DeMarco guys! I always thought this Vox demo guy was Johnny DeMarco who does the hilarious Roland/Boss demos. I thought he just ditched the glasses and toned down his personality for these Vox videos.
I know Tony Bruno from the Cowtipper, & always wondered why he hadn't partnered with a major builder. The traditional Vox sound is a thing; the non traditional.( like the Night train , or AC 10, or the Bruno's) is a BETTER thing.
Is it just me, or does the AC30 sound a bit better than the AC15? I've been playing more indie/pop/rock alternative sounds with an AC15 and I find myself yearning for an AC30 (despite the over-abundance in volume).
The first guitar was a vox, but can someone tell me what the other guitars were? The names were covered up with masking tape so I have no idea what brand or make was being used.

Why should they only do one kind of amp? If Vox can make an american style amp that sounds better than what Fender is offering for the same price, I say let them.

What's the point in trying to make a Vox sound like a Fender? If you like Fender sounds,buy a Fender.
